I went to this site. It's called Fairhaven. Bought some stuff off of there. I had a child over 4 years ago. And, I've been trying to have another. Well, I've read nothing but, very good reviews. There are many people who have pcos that haven't been able to conceive and, they were actually able to.

i saw my gyno and he said i have pcos. he prescibed me metformin 850, ive been taking half a tablet for 10days every time with dinner. the next 10 days i take half a tablet in morning and half at dinner with food. im overweight so i hope il lose weight with metformin and wanting to fall pregnant. but i ve always had irregualr periods and im 25. Will i fall preganant and how long will it take me, is metformin enough or do i need clomid. im so confused i just want to fall pregnant..

I'm also taking metformin, though I haven't been diagnosed with PCOS. Doc said it would help with the lining of my uterus. We tried 3 cycles of clomid and IUIs. No success. Clomid gave me hot flashes and may have made my cervical mucus hostile. This cycle, I took femara and had IUIs (in 2ww). I didn't have hot flashes, but my progesterone level went down slightly when tested on CD 19, compared to when I was on clomid.

Hi, ive just turned 25, ive been on metformin for a month now. i was diagnosed with pcos when i was 14, but my doctors didnt really do anything for me. i changed doctors in january and have started seeing a gynecologist. ive been put on metformin and am wondering what will happen next. i have had blood tests and my partner has had a sperm test and we will get the results from both next month at our next gyne appointment.

Hi! If you were my patient, I would advise you to use Metformin and Clomid to help you to conceive. I am not sure what fertab is, so hard to comment on that. The combination of Metformin and Clomid works well for women with PCOS> Weight loss can sometimes work very well too, if you are overweight. Good luck!

It's not only diet and exercise with pcos. I was diagnosed with atypical pcos and have never been overweight. I'm very active and eat healthy. Metformin has helped me have regular periods now for the last 5 months. Before taking it I was getting maybe one period a year.

yes i also have pcos...my dr put me on metformin about 1000ml a day..it really works after my 2rd month of being on it without missing a day. i conceived my lil baby angel..which i m/c at 16weeks.. im currently trying again..

I also have pcos and am taking metformin er 1000mg. It sounds like your doctor has you on the right track as far as BCP and your other meds. Can I ask why you dont take your BCP? I don't take any because I am trying to conceive, but I know that they do wonders for us pcos girls. As far as your other med is it metformin? I know for me, when I started my met I didn't get a period right away, in fact I still havent. They force start my periods with provera or prometrium.

t like that idea and my friend said that her doctor put her on metformin (she has pcos though) and if not pregnant in a couple months, she is going on clomid...Does Metformin help you get pregnant? Anyone who has any insight on this that is willing to share, it would be greatly appreciated!

Metformin helps regulate insulin levels so that the person can regulate their period and help with ovulation which is difficult in women with PCOS or even impossible for some without help with medicine. Metformin also helps a woman with PCOS have less of a risk for miscarriage (which is common with PCOS) especially if taken during the first trimester. Some woman cannot be helped with Metformin alone or it may not help at all. Clomid is often used with or without Metformin with women with PCOS.

Losing weight (if overweight) will help you to ovulate. Your doctor probably gave you metformin because you have pcos. Like Lori said she didnt ovulate while taking this, she started ovulating when she lost around 40lbs. I too have lost about 42lbs (but im on birth control) so i cant tell you if i ovulate.

Most chances if you have PCOS you are not ovulating, your producing eggs but they are not being ovulated so they form a string around your ovaries that look like cycts. I had success with both Metformin and birth control. Metformin is working so far alone. I've been on Metformin for now 1 year and birth control for 2 years. I stopped my birth control in August and had a normal period 8/30-8/31. I am looking forward to starting my next cycle this weekend. It's nice to see so far my cycles have normaled out.

Metformin helps women get pregnant by regulating hormone levels. so many women with pcos take metformin all the time even when they are not ttc. met controls your symptoms so they don't get worse. if you do nothing most likely they will get worse. I am currently ttc and on metformin and clomid. I am not allowed (per doc) to take birth control so i will continue metformin after i conceive. so the in-between of not ttc and ttc is just metformin, no bc, no clomid.

Hi!! I also have PCOS but was not getting a period at all. My doctor put me on Metformin in hopes of it trying to regulate me, but it did not work. Hopefully it will work for you. We also did rounds of Clomid but then found out i was clomid resistant so moved to injectables which seemed to work so far. I am in my 2ww to find out if there is a little bean or not.
