This confuses me if it's epilepsy. She has been taking quinine and muscle relaxers. The strongest form of pain killers be it in form of oral or IV don't seem to work. Sometimes I feel it's attention related but than I also see her suffer. Her menstrual cycle is a mess. She is scared to take massages or walk independently. I am totally confused and want to get on with our new life. Any help would be a blessing. All vitamin tests have also been done and are normal.
I have those pains too. They are muscle cramps. A massage by a professional masseuse will help. To get your cramps to go away within 30 minutes, take a quinine sulfate tablet. (260mg tablet). Works every time. They use to be over the counter but now you need to get a prescription. I don't think they interfer with other meds. Ask your doctor.
it's like being in labor, with no relief for at least 2-3 days. I NEVER had menstrual cramps before the procedure, just heavy bleeding. At this point I would prefer the bleeding in lieu of the severe cramping. My doctor said the ablation causes blood to be trapped in the uterus and unable to find it's way out. Now I am seriously considering a hysterectomy, the two days of pain cause me to lose work and I'm tired of it.
About 4 months ago, I had a cup of Swiss Miss chocolate hot drink and within 10 minutes had nausea and severe stomach cramps. After vomiting I felt much better. Obviously, I have stayed away from Swiss Miss. Lately, however, on occasion, after eating something fried (pancakes, for instance) I again have the cramping, naseua and vomiting. I'm hoping it's not something horrible like colon cancer. My friend, Amy suggested Irritable Bowl Syndrome as the culprit.
It can greatly reduce your heavy periods. I used to have periods seven days long with plenty of clots. It was heavy pretty much all the way through. On top of that, I had horrible nausea, cramps, and lower back pains to the point I couldn't function the first few days and would have to miss school. Since starting the pill, my periods have been 2-3 days and sometimes light, sometimes moderate. Much, much better, and I can go out and function all days of my period.
He said that it's muscle spasms, so he's prescribing some muscle relaxers and he said my stomach is hurting because of a UTI that just won't go away. He's giving me a prescription to take daily for that and he said I'll need to take that for the remainder of my pregnancy.
One doctor told me I haveBack Pain with Sciatica, Hematuria and he went on im his notes I have MS and the MS is called Arthralgia and Muscle problem. Now another told me that Diagnostic were that he note Facet Arthrosis in the lower spine -L4-L5 and L5-SI and mild facet hypertrophy. But no significant disc bulge or protrusion is seen at any level. and Skelaxin (was told it wasn't addictive by Doc..but pharmacist said all muscle relaxers are addictive - I believe the latter)...so I will take them carefully and NOT daily..just to loosen me up enough to bare with it... I hope I'll be able to manage it somehow... I want you guys to know that I don't even like saying "pain" when I refer to my condition because it's more like a tightness that is extremely uncomfortable and never goes away...
Pain relievers such as Advil, Nuprin, Motrin and menstrual cramp medications like Midol and Trendar. All drugs containing the widely used pain reliever Ibuprofen are known to cause positive samples for Marijuana. Non-steroidal anti inflammatories such as Naproxyn have cross reacted in blind tests. These are often prescribed for runners, sports injuries to joints, and those suffering from arthritis.
Normal periods, some months bad cramps--other months no cramps. I go back in the end of August for another paragard. When I left the dr.s office a couple of days ago, I left with alot of information on other forms of BC. I was seriously thinking about going the Essure route. I've decided against it because: you have to wait 3 months to make sure it "took", requires surgery for removal, only 3 years of data available.
i am 17 and i am 23 days late on my period now. i know im not pregnant because i havent had sex since june and we used protection and i got my period for june july and august. i have though been feeling a little nauseated and feeling like throwing up the last few days and sometimes all day. i did kind of lost weight but not a lot now i weight 110 i dont know if that could be a reason i only lost 10 pounds. so do you have an idea why i missed my period?
So far doctors can't tell my what causes it, they just say hiccups are caused by a muscle spasm in the diaphram - but these aren't regular hiccps so I dont understand. It's just one giant screech followed by a burp. The only thing I have tried is baclofen (muscle relaxer) which did not help. I've had a endoscopy and a ct scan and I was told I had gastritus.
my name is jenna.ive been having very bad stomach pain i cant walk and my lower back hurts and ive been to the hospital twice they dont no wats wrong with me any suggestions??
Every drug works a little differently on every one and it's nice that science keeps pushing forward to create better drugs to treat the disease. I also had a bout with severe muscle cramps in my leg, and it also led to atrial fibrillation and I had to go to the ER. They found that I had low levels of potassium. After that incident I have faithfully taken a multi-vitamin every night before bed and an over-the counter potassium supplement (with my doctors approval of course).
Ive tried quitting pretty much cold turkey (had some muscle relaxers and trasidone) a while ago and it sucked but i only missed a day and a half from work and went 6 days before slipping back in again. However this was when i was only doin about 10mgs a day. I had some problems sleeping, but i could sleep, had some cold sweats, muscles sore, yawns, and general overall lack of all energy. I managed to get through the days and even through some full work days.
Mine isn't as severe as the first poster above. I have some menstrual cramps as well that feel a little lower than the old cramps I used to get. But it does go away when I'm done with my period. This thing only lasts a couple days or so. I hope somebody gets some answers soon and shares with the group.
sounds like it could maybe be a pulled muscle or ligament maybe. try ibuprofin and a heating pad maybe that will help.
My hips hurt so much at night I get up every 2 - 3 hours in spite of pain meds, muscle relaxers, neurontin. I can't sit for more than 20 without extreme pain and I can't walk a block without extreme pain and if I try to push it my legs collapse underneath me! If I sit for too long the muscles in my lower back tighten sooo much when I try to stretch them they feel like they will explode. Get severe hamstring spasms at night also - enough to make me jump up in pain and grab my left leg.
About 1 year ago I began having pain in my right upper arm, between the shoulder and elbow, about mid arm where the biceps brachii muscle or brachialis muscle is. I went to my Primary Physician who said it was a torn brachialis muscle. Since I was working at a 2nd job, I thought it might be job related so I went through the whole Workman's Comp issue. They sent me to 4 doctors who did nothing for me, finally the case was settled and my lawyer got most of the money, but I still have the pain.
July 22nd, 2007 was the first time I'd had sex since. After not having any kind of menstrual cycle, my mom, (an LPN) reminded me that even though I was not on any kind of birth control, I could still get pregnant. Even thought i wasn't having periods. so we ended up having a pregnancy scare. after Dr's and home tests, i wasn't. now its September 27th 2007. its like 1:03AM and for about the past month, my boyfriend and i have been thinking that there was a great possibility of me being pregnant.
I too have fainted during an onset of severe cramps. I usually squirm on the bathroom floor and then I start sweating and then I wake up about 20 min later on the bathroom floor. It is unimagineable pain that I am in and it is always a scarey experience when I am about to faint. It is nice to hear that I am not the only one that experiences this..
also valium for sleep, and a muscle relaxer. i'm sure someone will post Thomas's detox. i'm not sure of the easy board site address though. among a lot of good comon sense advice, a regiment of vitamens and an amino acid called L-ty- rosine. This vitamen/amino acid stuff really has worked wonders for me. just remember opiate withdrawl might make you wish you were dead, but it won't kill you! hey eveyone else: day 3 no oxy. i feel retty good except for this horriable feeling of restlesness.
I have a clear nodule on the thumb and notice a reduction of muscle tone, despite active hands. My doctor doesn't seem to hear me and suggested a shot of cortizone into one foot. I see something more systemic progressing and am not quite sure what to do. Both feet are getting large numb spots now on the bottom. It's rather confounding.
SEVERE FATIGUE, nerve pain, difficulty walking, intenstinal pain, blurred vision, depression, SEVERE NAUSEOUSNESS, headaches, muscle weakness, dizziness, vertigo, hopelessness, etc. etc. etc. I am using a special diet from a book called "Patient Heal Thyself", which includes a lot of fresh, organic, whole foods. And I have a lot of support from friends and family to walk me through this trying experience.
Some doctors have a heard time believing this is healthy for you, but in life before ours, women were pregnantly constantly, suckling babies, and they heardly ever had regular menstrual cycles. Just doing the mini pill back to back has saved my life, and I was a person always in the emergency room, writhing from pain, had severe migraines, depression, etc. Good luck all!
I also have TMJ, tinnitus and problems with chronic muscle spasms. I would appreciate any input on this subject. You can email me at ***@**** Hopefully, together we can come up with some answers.
Im just on vicodin and some muscle relaxers. The pain continues down my left leg and lower back. Not all surgeries work and at times I wish i didnt have the surgery done at all. I hurt worse now than I did a year ago. Ive been dealing with this pain since 2004 and things dont seem to be getting better. Hopefully pt will give some relief in the near future. For that fella that say all surgires work must be on some good drugs. I know the feeling of pain you all write about.
This seems to correlate with some muscle twitching I get. Recently I've been getting this around my neck and temples too which is probably due to anxiety and panic which I have been in a constant state of recently regarding a head injury . . . which was minor, hit head on door while drunk, later started to feel really out of it, feeling of liquid in ears, dizzy, disorientated, stiff neck, fatigued . . .
