Avatar f tn Anyone experiencing menstrual like cramps lower bck n stomach area n pressure n vagina.. im 5 weeks n my body feels weird.. im cramping lik every 2days no bleeding or anything jus major cramps n alot of bloating ...
Avatar n tn Hi, There's a long list of issues that can cause abdominal cramps without the presence of a menstrual period, for example: a late or irregular period, pregnancy, stress, indigestion or digestive disorders, an illness, or endometriosis, etc...Menstrual cramps are caused by the uterus contracting when it expels it's lining. For many women cramps can happen 3 to 5 days before a period begins, and also during a period.
1395422 tn?1308016251 Everyone woman knows what a menstrual cramp is. It may come as a surprise to many that menstrual cramps have another name. The medical term for these abdominal and pelvic pains is “dysmenorrhea”. More than 50% of women are affected each month by a certain degree of dysmenorrhea, and 15% of those women are experiencing severe cramping. Isn’t this PMS?
Avatar f tn ve noticed that movement as simple as walking for an hour or strenuous workouts causes me menstrual like cramps, nausea, and headaches. I've been watching what I eat and have tried cutting out certain foods, but nothing seems to make a difference. My period makes it unbearable, which we've now stopped with the pill. What can this be? What doctor should I see? My ob says she wants to wait to see if I'm in pain another 4 months before referring to a surgeon for endometriosis.
Avatar f tn If so, have you had a regular period /menstrual cycle before? I know I would experience severe cramps, even in my back, that sometimes could only be endured. Heat helped, sort of. I'm just thinking where you don't know of a cause for the pain.... It might be worth considering. Good luck!!!
1523981 tn?1311318595 It can be, yes. Your uterus is growing and expanding as the baby grows larger. This is going to put pressure on your entire lower portion of your body. Sometimes though these cramps can actually be contractions and as you're too early for baby to come this would be dangerous. Does it feel like a squeezing pain at all, or just normal menstrual cramps. For reassurance, you can also phone L&D or your doctor and explain the pain to them and see what they say about it.
Avatar f tn The doctor said it is like a little flap that holds the blood from only coming out during our menstrual cycle but if something hits it and causes the flap to open slightly it releases the blood. Implantation bleeding will usually last a few days and it is pretty much a very small amount to where you may only notice it when you wipe.
Avatar f tn my breast are a little tender not much but not sore. i am having frequent cramps similiar to menstrual cramps and i feel like im on an emotional rollercoaster....
Avatar f tn I feel like I keep posting about this but it's rather painful. I found out I have a UTI on Monday and since I've been on antibiotics it's started feelinf better. Until about 30 min ago I felt fine, now I'm having menstrual like cramping and lower back pain. I feel nauseous and the only thing I've been able to stomach is water and a few pieces of watermelon. What should I do? Or what could this mean?
Avatar n tn These cramps usually begin earlier in the menstrual cycle and last longer than common menstrual cramps.
Avatar n tn Menstrual cramps are normal to have and I get severe menstrual cramps on the first day of my period as well. Typically it is just from hormones that causes the cramping, as the surge will cause contractions, making her period painful. Prevention is much better than management for pain. Exercise and eating healthy can help prevent menstrual cramps to a certain point, but won't always get rid of them.
Avatar f tn I remember when I first found out, and even right before I did, I felt like I was having normal menstrual cramps. They didn't feel like anything unusual, other than the fact that I knew I was not about to get my cycle. Lol. I don't really know what causes them, and I'd say if it's something that worries you then it's best to talk to your doctor even if only to have peace of mind.
Avatar f tn i would just go...but just curious.. To..what causes it. ALOT OF PEOPLE are saying ++contractions++...(like when you are actually in labor...but that aint true. Obviously. ..gotta be braxton hicks...or something different...
Avatar f tn Nuva ring can cause pelvic cramps but other causes of such cramps and feeling of nausea should also be explored. One of the important causes is of gastritis. Hence the above mentioned treatment.
362119 tn?1223137936 quick question... this past week i have been feeling "menstrual" like cramps in the lower part of my belly... what could this be??? I am 36 weeks 4days..
7716176 tn?1393947986 Should I be timing my BH or the menstrual like cramps? I am 38w5d and just did some grocery shopping and my BH have been coming every 3-4 min.
709912 tn?1229203300 It might be early labor. I have read where premature labor can feel like menstrual cramps. It could also be Braxton hicks but Im not sure. If you have more than 4 cramps an hour, you should call your OB ASAP. That is what the OB nurse told me on Friday when I was having contractions showing on the monitor, although I didn't feel them.
342988 tn?1299782356 my implantation cramps were like a milder version of menstrual cramps. i usually don't get my menstrual cramps till the day of or day before my period. this time i was getting them about 7 days before my expected period. i also had a teeney bit of brownish spotting which only lasted for a wipe or two. that was my first clue that i was pregnant!! good luck to you girl!!
Avatar n tn Hi there, Depo vera may disrupt the menstrual cycle. It can cause irregular bleeding or spotting, heavy or prolonged bleeding, or your menstrual bleeds to stop altogether. After stopping depo it may take some time for your hormones to normalize. Upper stomach pain and cramp can be due to many causes like gastritis, gastroesophageal reflux disease; peptic ulcer etc.Other causes of delayed periods like pregnancy, hormonal imbalances, ovulation disorders and thyroid disorders should be ruled out.
594914 tn?1245263684 Oral contraceptives containing estrogen may also relieve menstrual cramps and some perimenopausal symptoms, and regulate menstrual cycles in women with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).
