lump on neck under chin

I'm 22 years old and I've recently noticed a lump that is about 1 cm in diameter under my chin, back towards the neck. It seems to be round. I first noticed it because my neck felt tender and the ear on that same side ached slightly. You can't notice it by looking. To feel the lump you have to push up under the chin near the neck, and then it pops out. I'm able to move the lump to my jawline. It's very, very mobile.

Hello, so i was randomely feeling like under my chin right before my neck starts and theres this pretty good size lump... Its like a size of a marble ... It hurts when i touch it... I have no idea what this could be .... Its not like a really really bad pain when i touch it but i definately dosnt feel good when i touch it and i feel some pain... you can definately feel the lump.. when i lift up my head you can also see a lump ... should i be concerned about this ?

Just an update. Since my last post, in addition to the small lump on my chin, I had one appear on my cheek and one between my eye and nose. I'm assuming they were acne, since the eye one is gone, the cheek one is near-gone, and the chin one is very small. The movable lump on my jaw, however, is still there and still painless, still the same size. However, there is also a lump on the other side of my jawbone.

It was as though I pulled something in my neck. Today I woke up and its very tender and there is a lump about the size of a cherry just to the right of the center about an inch from the tip of my chin. Any suggestions?

They seek out the cool of the porcelain or metal . This behavior plus the lump under the right side under the chin sounds to me like he may have an infection going on and the bump is a swollen lymph node. Not unlike humans when we get strep throat and our lymph glands swell. If your asking my opinion , I would take him to the vet. He needs at least antibiotics.

While putting lotion on my neck, I feel a tender lump directly under my chin. It is clearly above the thyroid. I wouldn't even consider it's location as being on my "neck". It is right under my chin before my neck/throat area begins. Please help!

lymph nodes (1 on each side) have somewhat grown a little in size, and lump under my chin changes its size too. What on earth could it be? The lump is pretty hard and has a kind of palpable <1 cm thick wire directin downwards to near my adams apple.

I recently noticed that when I put my chin to my chest, I could feel a lump or something on the left side of under my jawbone. I felt around, and I can't really feel anything unusual when my head is upright. Or rather, I can feel something smooth there, but I think I always had it on both sides. But when I tilt my head forwards and poke my fingers underneath my jawbone I can feel a small lump that I can "move" to the chin side of my jawbone quite easily.

The primary lump can be sign of stone formed in salivary gland that plugged the duct; this will not cause high ESR blood test reading. Ask for referal to ENT, he may recommend do ultrasound of the neck, MRI or CT scan.The same imaging procedure will pickup the abnormal lymph nodes if any.

hello, i have had a lump(marble size) on my neck(left side directly below my jawline) and has been there for over 5 years now. Recently it has become extremly painful at times and appears to be getting slightly larger when irritated. 5 years back i was appox 250lbs when i first noticed the lump...now im 150. Over the last 5 years i have developed a major sleeping problem. I can be up for 20-30hrs before needing rest. I have very limited energy and feel constantly weak. Also my appetite is gone.

I had an acne spot under my chin that took a while to go down, it was under he skin so I couldn't pop it....anyway it eventually subsided but now I'm left with a tiny lump under the skin where the spot used to be...it's difficult to feel most of the time, I have to stretch my neck to feel it and it not visible on the surface at all. I am concerned about it now as its not gone and is still there 8 months or so on from the acne...what could this be?

My son felt a burning flow of maybe acid reflux stuff in neck directly under his chin where the tounge is on the right side. He then felt pain & burning from that area travel to the fenulum( under tounge) & a lump appeared that is very painful, could this be a salivatory gland issue? He can not even eat yogurt or the discomfort is almost unbearable. This happened as he was eating ice cream, don't know if that is related or not.

Re: lump under chin, I would go straight to the dr. get a blood test for EBV and be referred to an ENT. If you live in the country go to the city, don't mess around with this or wait too long. It's always better to be safe than sorry. this if speaking from experience. I pray you'll be okay.

i also got a lump on right jaw and a lump on the back of my neck. im wondering if these are zits or lymph nodes?

i have found a lump earlier on my neck close to two inches from the front of my chin, and a little past my mid point in my neck towards my left side. It is unpainful, slightly movable (i can move it around in circles and a little to each side i try), about maybe one to two cenameters showing through. it is not attached to the skin but rather somthing else. it has a smooth tutch (can not seem to be able to grab at the lump it moves backwards but it is relativly hard.

Then a instant sudden lump started forming under my chin on my neck throat area. It felt like a tumor but would think tumor just doesn't pop up like that. The lump went down about 15 min after it formed. It hurt under my back tongue to open my mouth but that went down as well. What could this be.? Extremely weird that the lump formed then went away. What you think the sudden lump that formed is? Not cancer i hope. Is it something serious you think?

Now I have two huge ones on my forehead and cheek, both on the right side, and another coming on on the right side of my chin. The two I tried to squeeze out and they've been oozing for a couple of days. Before I messed with the one on my cheek to drain it, about 2 inches around the area was hard with the inflammation. I also have two or three lumps in the right side of my neck. These feel like swollen lymph glands and not near the surface. Everything is on the right side.

I posted around a year ago around a lump I had discovered on my neck, over the course of the last year I have had an ultrasound and blood work all of which came back ok and whilst I understand that neither are 100% conclusive these coupled with the fact that it has not grown at all over the last year has given me a degree of comfort and my doctor explained that it is not unusual for nodes to be asymmetrical to their counterpart on the other side of the neck which I cannot feel.

I just noticed tonight that my 3 1/2 year old daughter has a pea sized lump on the right side of her neck just under her ear/chin. When i press lightly on it, it moves around a little. It doesn't seem to hurt her, but I've never noticed it before. She also has no cold/shows no signs of illness....Should I take her to the doctor? Does this sound like a swollen lymph node?

i have a large lump on the right side of my chin, although i do have herpes on the right corner of my mouth but how would that cause a large swollen, bruise-like lump on the right corner of my chin? i am really worried that it might be cancer...but i have never smoked and i am wondering what kind of cancer would form if i havent done anything to provoke a tumor...i need to know how it would be possible for cancer to form there if ive taken care of myself...??
