About two years ago, while I was putting it up, I noticed a lump background-color: #dae8f4'>on the back of my neck. To answer your questibackground-color: #dae8f4'>on, most swollen lymph nodes are due from infectibackground-color: #dae8f4'>on and will go away background-color: #dae8f4'>on its own, however I would have the lump looked at by your doctor if it doesn't go away in a couple of weeks (just to be background-color: #dae8f4'>on the safe side). They may want to watch it for a while or try antibiotics. They may also want to draw blood and do a CBC. Good luck and I wish you well.

It seems to extend from the very base of my neck (where you swallow) down toward my clavicle. I have had Hashimoto's for about 30 years and take my meds daily. My throat will feel tight (like when you are about to cry) and I have a headache that feels like a vise in the back of my head from ear to ear especially when I rest my head back or quickly turn it. The lump is background-color: #dae8f4'>only background-color: #dae8f4'>on the rt. side of my neck. It is towards the back but not background-color: #dae8f4'>on the spine and is about 2 fingers below the base of my head. I showed the lump to my orthopaedic Dr. and he thought it could be my muscles bunched up from my neck pain.
My girlfriend developed a relatively small lump background-color: #dae8f4'>on the back of her neck at the base of her skull just above her hairline about 3 inches from her right ear. It developed fairly recently. I am always rubbing her back and neck because she had been in a car accident a couple of years ago and experiences chrbackground-color: #dae8f4'>onic back pain, and did not feel it until 2 days ago. It is not visible background-color: #dae8f4'>on the skin, is about the size of dime or nickel, and causes her pain if pressure is applied.
I have found a small painful lump at the base of my skull background-color: #dae8f4'>on the lower right side--just above the hair line background-color: #dae8f4'>on that bbackground-color: #dae8f4'>one right behind the ear---seemed to come up yesterday----no lesibackground-color: #dae8f4'>on or break in the skin or redness--just painful and slightly squishy--I have an appointment with dermatologist in about 2 weeks---does this seem like a dermatologist issue?
I have a lump background-color: #dae8f4'>on the right side of my neck, right at the base of the hairline. When I noticed it about 6 mbackground-color: #dae8f4'>onths ago it was roughly the size of a dime, hard, not attached to the skin, and whenever I touched it, I got a headache. I also have general neck stiffness, and frequent headaches. Now the lump is about the size of a silver dollar, takes up most of the right side of my neck, and it is flat, hard, and whenever I try to turn my head, it hurts.
This could be as simple as a muscle background-color: #dae8f4'>knot - which I get all the time due to tensibackground-color: #dae8f4'>on in the neck. Pea size and bigger, albackground-color: #dae8f4'>ong the spinal column at back of neck as well as albackground-color: #dae8f4'>ong the sides of the neck. They hurt, and burn, etc...I have gbackground-color: #dae8f4'>one to a physio therapist, who has worked them out. They do come back, and will do so if you have neck tensibackground-color: #dae8f4'>on..(stress, computer work, not standing straight, etc...) I've noticed a lump at the back base of my skull background-color: #dae8f4'>on the left side. It's hard, extends from a little ways behind my L ear to the middle of my skull and bulges out like a big goose egg. I've had chrbackground-color: #dae8f4'>onic ear problems, feel dizzy and light headed and also have quite a lot of head and neck pain and pain in the area of the "bulge". For about two weeks, I have discovered a lump just bellow my hairline (at the base of my skull) at the back of my head. The lump is about the size of a wall-nut. It is not painful, and very hard. It is under the skin, unlike a pimple. I went to the doctors, and he seems told me it was nothing to worry about, and that it was most likely a swollbackground-color: #dae8f4'>on gland. However I have never had a swollbackground-color: #dae8f4'>on gland in that locatibackground-color: #dae8f4'>on, and its not painful. Am I looking to much into this?
I'm a 30 yr old female with anxiety disorder and cbackground-color: #dae8f4'>onstantly under stress. Recently, I noticed a small lump background-color: #dae8f4'>on my right side, towards the bottom of my neck (between the base and shoulder). It is painless, moveable, and changes in size throughout the day, but it is never bigger than approximately 1 cm. It feels spbackground-color: #dae8f4'>ongy at times, but then it gets firmer. I've also been experiencing sinus/allergy/rhinitis issues due to the seasbackground-color: #dae8f4'>on. Other than that, I have no other symptoms.
T1 at the base of my neck. although the doc wouldnt ever give me a xray. It is caused by a few things. background-color: #dae8f4'>one is poor posture. Slumping your neck over is what many of us do hours background-color: #dae8f4'>on end & esp background-color: #dae8f4'>on the computer. Also maybe your pillow at night which is another of my problems. Doctors do not care, they write up meds to cover up the pain & send you off not fixing anything. I have been working background-color: #dae8f4'>on correcting this myself. No slumping over..
During this time I have also noticed pain developing from the base of my neck up to the right side of my skull. The area of my skull that is in pain is slightly raised and hurt if I put pressure background-color: #dae8f4'>on it. There is also a small lump that provides a jolt of sharp pain if I touch it. The headaches keep getting worse and I am now even getting pain in my ears. Does anybackground-color: #dae8f4'>one have a clue what is going background-color: #dae8f4'>on here?
It is slightly offset to the right but mainly in the frbackground-color: #dae8f4'>ont and at the base of my neck. Just above my collarbbackground-color: #dae8f4'>one. I went to the doctor and they gave me a strep test and also a mbackground-color: #dae8f4'>ono test and they both came back negative. I have had a low fever, I have been very tired and this lump is just sitting there. It is about quarter size and there is also some swelling starting where the lump is and goes up the side of my neck but the lump is very promanent. What the heck could this be?
