Avatar f tn About 3 years ago I noticed a hard mass at the base of my skull background-color: #dae8f4'>on the left side of my neck. Probably 1/2" large. I hadn't noticed it before. It wasn't painful, it was very hard, fixed, and circular shaped. I had my EMT father look at it, and he passed it off saying it just felt like I had an oddly shaped skull. So, I mostly forgot about it since it wasn't bothersome, and he didn't express cbackground-color: #dae8f4'>oncern. A year or so later, I noticed the same mass.

I haven't had any visual issues, nor terrible headaches or nausea or anything. I had my family and a couple friends feel it and they all said it feels like a tensibackground-color: #dae8f4'>on knot.
Avatar f tn But, yesterday I noticed a painful spot (about pea-sized) at the left base of my skull, background-color: #dae8f4'>on the bbackground-color: #dae8f4'>ony bump part right at the base. Avatar n tn About two years ago, while I was putting it up, I noticed a background-color: #dae8f4'>lump background-color: #dae8f4'>on the back of my neck. It is about the size of a dime, maybe slightly smaller.
Avatar m tn To answer your questibackground-color: #dae8f4'>on, most swollen lymph nodes are due from infectibackground-color: #dae8f4'>on and will go away background-color: #dae8f4'>on its own, however I would have the <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>lump looked at by your doctor if it doesn't go away in a couple of weeks (just to be background-color: #dae8f4'>on the safe side). They may want to watch it for a while or try antibiotics. They may also want to draw blood and do a CBC. Good luck and I wish you well.
Avatar m tn It's kind of difficult to tell what type of doctor you should see without looking at the <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>lump. Is the <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>lump irregularly shaped at all? Has it grown? Is it visible? I would have the background-color: #dae8f4'>lump checked out by an ENT, either way.

The background-color: #dae8f4'>lump is about the size of a wall-nut. It is not painful, and very hard. It is under the skin, unlike a pimple.
