I am 18 years old and have had a lump on my neck for about three years (Thats when i realized it was there, it could have been there before) it is at the base of my neck and when i stand up straight you can obviously see it. It is hard, feels like my spine curved. Could something be under it?
I have also been diagnosed with psuedotumor cerebri due to increased intracranial pressure, black outs, fainting, and terrible migranes. But I am wondering if psuedotumor was misdiagnosed?

A few months ago I noticed in the mirror that the back of my neck looked awfully odd. At the base of my neck/top of my spine there is a bony lump there that has not gone away and it causes a dull heavy sensation in my neck right where the spot is, so the middle of my neck. I do have poor posture that I am trying to work on and I do have overall back pain (both of my parents do as well). This lump is not symmetrical, if you look at it from the right and then the left it looks different.
My girlfriend developed a relatively small lump on the back of her neck at the base of her skull just above her hairline about 3 inches from her right ear. It developed fairly recently. I am always rubbing her back and neck because she had been in a car accident a couple of years ago and experiences chronic back pain, and did not feel it until 2 days ago. It is not visible on the skin, is about the size of dime or nickel, and causes her pain if pressure is applied.
Hers is usually on the right side of the back of her neck, close to her hairline at the base of her skull. On each side of the back of your neck there is a tendon, thats where hers would appear.
When our family doctor first looked at it, he said he could drain it in a minor surgery. She was 14 yrs. old then and what he said freaked her out. So we got a second opinion from another doctor who sent her to a Physical Therapist.
ve had this issue for about year and 1/2, I first noticed a tender sore lump in the center of my neck just above my spine, but at the base of my neck. It comes an goes, after about a week the swelling will go down an its barely noticeable and not sore at all but then other times it swells to about the size of a pea, an is very tender a sore, when moving neck a certain way, waking up in the morning etc. Are there lympnodes in the back of that area? or could it be a cyst or a muscle knot?
About 3 years ago I noticed a hard mass at the base of my skull on the left side of my neck. Probably 1/2" large. I hadn't noticed it before. It wasn't painful, it was very hard, fixed, and circular shaped. I had my EMT father look at it, and he passed it off saying it just felt like I had an oddly shaped skull. So, I mostly forgot about it since it wasn't bothersome, and he didn't express concern.
A year or so later, I noticed the same mass.

Please don't stress. I'm sure it's nothing. Apart from the lump at the base of my skull, I also have a lump in my neck which has been there since adolescence. 4 doctors who have examined it, and have told me it feels like a lympth node, but as it's been there for years and I'm healthy, there is nothing to worry about. Everytime I've fighting an infection it swells up slightly.
Have the blood tests just to be on the safe side....

On Saturday night, I went to bed w/ one of my usual headaches, and woke up with the same one. I went to rub the back of my neck and head, and noticed a lump on the left back side of my head. It hurts to put pressure on it. Since Sunday, it's grown in size and in pain. Let me mention that NO I did NOT hit my head on anything. I've been to the ER, and to my medical on base here. I'm nauseous, dizzy, very tired and week feeling, I'm starting to have these shaking attacks.
I am having extreme tenderness at the base of my head on my neck, on the left side. It hurts to just barely touch it. A few weeks ago, I woke up and touched the back of my head/neck and it was very swelled and tender. It's not swelled like that today, but there seems to be either mild swelling or a lump there where it hurts to touch it. I have not injured my neck. Any thoughts?
i also have a pain down my left side of neck, I also have itching and redness at front of neck. I also feel as if i have a lump at base of neck all the time not only when I swallow. i had a blood test and the doctor said i did not have an infection as my white blood cell count is ok. i am waiting to go in for a ct scan but ia a bit anxious as i had cancer 7 years ago .
During foreplay with my wife, she noticed a small lump at the base of my penis. Neither of us have noticed it before. It doesn’t hurt. When erect it is on the left center underside all the way at the base of the shaft. When flaccid it I have to “dig” to feel it. Trying not to touch it, it’s been about 6 days since we noticed it.

I have had a tingeling numbing sensation in the back of my neck where the base of the head meets the neck. I can only hear it in my head but when I turn my head from side to side it sounds like sand. I don't know how else to describe it. I get headaches in strange parts of my head such as the upper right mid section on the crown. I do have a cyst on my pituitary gland that is 2mm last time I had it checked , but I dont think it would be the cause.
