Common Questions and Answers about Lower back pain right side

pain

Hello,I am having lower back pain, but more on my right side next to the bone that is in the middle of your back. do you think it could have something todo with my IBS? The reason why I am asking is because the yesterday I couldn't move a bowel movement and finally in the middle of the day I did 3 times one was normal and the other two weren't. Should I see my gastro doctor? Or should I see my regular doctor? What else could my lower back pain be?
I am experiencing lower back pain on my right side. The pain began about 2 months ago. When I was sitting in a massage chair, I felt an uncomfortable tightness in my lower right side of my back. I slowly got started walking and felt a slight pinch. Maybe after about 20 minutes later I felt an excrucitating sharp pain that made me almost faint. My arms, legs and whole body started to tingle. Shortly after I could not walk. The sharp pain was so painful that I could not walk for a few days.
Then the pain goes from my lower back to my right side of my stomach. The lower back pain hurts when I sit down, go to the bathroom or pass gas. I am 25 years old and as far as I can remember I have never had a pain like this before. But then I thought that it may have to do with two different instances. First the other day at work I lifted 6 boxes that had reams of copier paper and the pain started shortly after that.
A few days ago I started having dull aching pain in the lower right side of by back. Not in my spine. I thought it was from my mattress, which was bought a couple of months ago. When I wake up my back feels very stiff and achy but the pain doesn't go away after moving around. It's not intolerable or severe. It just feels like a "crick" in my lower back. I was wondering if it may be the sciatic nerve. I haven't had any trauma and not could it be from exercise. Any thoughts?
I have a shooting pain in my back, but in my lower back, like right above my hip bone. It comes an goes with little to no pattern. I have been to the dotor several times, and I have had cat scans, mri's, urine and blood tests, ultrasounds, and no one can find anything. When I have the pain it lasts for 10 second intervals, then it's gone and will come back throughout the day for about 1-2 weeks. Then its gone for a couple weeks, and starts the cycle over. I have no other symptoms.
I have been having pain in my lower right side/back for a few hours now and am just wondering what this could be. I do tend to pull my back out from carrying my 1 year old son every so often but this just feels different. It hurts to breath, walk, stand or just sit. I had kidney stones when I was about 17 but I am now 27 and havent experienced anything like that since. Any ideas?? Any comments would be very helpful!!
I have pain on my lower right side. It is almost constant. Recent lap revealed no endo but pain still constinues. Noticed pain is worse when bladder is full. Pain usually worse at night. When pain is more severe it causes hip and back pain. Have been diagnosed with IBS in the past but bowel movements don't seem to have any affect on this pain. About to go back to my general physician..any idea what this could be or what is should ask to have checked?

It is sharp, stabbing pain, can shoot to the left, goes into my back, down the right leg. So bad somedays I cant even get off of the couch.

I have had a sharp stabbing pain in my lower right side of my back. It hurts very much and recently starting being bloated and nauseous. I woke up at five in the morning today feeling worst and wanting to throw up .. I also feel constipated. I can't seem to figure out what the problem is and so can't the Dr.s. It's getting ridiculous and i just want the pain to go away. I also have pains in the front right side lower stomach.
My question would also be.....specifically where is the pain located? If you described your pain to your doc a lower right side and they took out your gallbladder, something doesn't 'jibe.' Gallbladder pain is usually located in the upper right quadrant. The only pain typically associated with the gallbladder that might be lower would come from spasms at the sphincter of Oddi - a place where the common bile duct enters the duodenum.
I am 14 and I have had pain on the right hand side of my lower back for about a month now. I wouldent say it really hurts but it is just really uncomfortable. I recently went to the emergency room for pains in my lower right back. The pain is sharp and hurts only when I am lying down and when I breathe in. I was test for pulmonary embolism and it was negative. I don't have a lung infection. If I am sitting for a long period of time I can feel the sharp pain when I breathe in. It radiates up to my neck and around the side of my stomach, under the ribcage. The doctors were unable to tell me what the pain is coming from. I did not injury my back.
Two days ago I began experiencing pain in the lower right side of my back. The pain is also present in my right hip and partially down my right thigh. When I put weight on my right leg the pain becomes worse. Sitting and lying down can be uncomfortable at times. Certain movements also seem to make it worse.
I bent over to open something and my back popped. The lower right side. I could not explain how sharp the pain was but it would not let me stand up. I eventually forced myself up and into a chair where I was then rushed to a hospital. He diagnosed it lower back pain and my x-rays showed nothing as well. But it has gotten better only because I layed in the bed for 3 days taking the muscle relaxers and pain killer I was prescribed. If in fact it does get worse my doctor said he would do a mri.
