lexapro upset stomach

Everyone is differemnt when it comes to tolerating these meds. I had some initial side effects with Lexapro, but it was more of an increase in anxiety and feeling "jittery". Stomach upset is common, but you are saying "severe stomach pain"? That would be worrisome. Problem is...your doc may be right...it's difficult to judge what is side effects and what may be totally unrelated symptoms! Did you start having side effects right after starting the Lexapro?

ve had mixed side effects since starting including increased anxiety, stomach upset (both before eating and after eating), general feeling of not being myself, increased insomnia on top of the insomnia I already suffer and lower libido. I took Effexor for several years (has been about 5 years since taking it) and also Zoloft. I do not recall any of these start up effects from either of those medications.

I immediately had a headache and upset stomach after starting Lexapro yesterday. I hope it is only temporary as my body is adjusting.

My stomach isnt upset, but when I talk I feel sometimes that I could gag and vomit my nerves are so bad. Is this the Lexapro? It just seems as if my anxiety has sky rocketed after taking it for the 1st time today 10mg. Will this feeling go away? I just took another ativan.

I have taking Lexapro for 2 years now, at first, i had similar symptoms you are describing, sleepless nights, dry mouth, stressed out jaws, upset stomach...however, they all withered away a couple of months into the tratment and now practicly gone. I am a male so I wouldnt know about birth control. Good luck hope this helps...

I wake almost every morning with vivid upsetting dreams and a horrible stomach upset. Many times having to run the bathroom. Awful way to start most days. The stomach upset usually persists throughout the day, getting better by late afternoon. It's a crampy, upset feeling. Medication dosages don't seem to make much difference. Anyone had this or similar? It's like I need to reset my brain or my sleep patterns. Any help would be very very appreciated.

I have experienced unpleasant symptoms several times when discontinuing an anti deoressant and starting another but they pass and improve. If you discontinue too fast you may experience nausea,sweating,upset stomach,headache, neck pain or vomiting. Symptoms of depression/anxiety may also return.

I've had anxiety, panic now for almost 5 months, I recently went on Lexapro for 7 days hated it, gave me a very nervous feeling came off. However, I noticed I have constant stomach flips even lying in bed and today I have that manic, nervous, walls coming in feeling. Could this be from the Lexapro ? So tonight I had a SUPER extreme upset stomach. Sorry if tmi(dont think anything is on this app though lol) but I had really runny diarreah and my stomach was cramping and contracting. I felt like I was going to die. Once everything was done I felt a lot better and managed to get some rest. I am only 28 weeks, I know it can be a sign of labor so it was kind of worrying me. Honestly, I hope labor doesn't feel like that because I felt like I was going to pass out and throw up as well.

ve had a kinda upset stomach like the feeling you get when you think you have to go number 2 and some pressure in my lower stomach and back and I have been going number 2 more then usual and its not that loose or anything I'm just wondering if I should be worried? Where are the pains exactly? I'm having intense stomach pains from the top of my naval to the top of my stomach and they are refrerring it to GERD (Acid Reflux Disease). I'd go see your GI and see if they can do an upper endoscopy on you. I'm going in on the 3rd to for one to see if I have GERD or a peptic ulcer. Drink a lot of water and a very bland diet (toast with peanut butter).

Hi everyone, I'm currently 13 weeks pregnant and everything I eat seems to upset my stomach (like food poisening) even though that's not the case. I haven't had any morning sickness or nausea though. Is this happening to anyone else?
