I started taking Lorazospam for the first I was rushed by ambualnce to the ER because I had a severe reaction to Lexapro the doctors suspected Seritonin syndrome...Felt like my insides were on fire and my outsides with elevated heart rate and blood preasure...They gave me valume to get my BP and HR back to normal it worked..I kept going back to the ER with these symptoms for 3 days they said I have severe anxiety and prescribed Ativan.....
I have been out of Lexapro (20mg tabs) fo a week now. I am experiencing some dizzieness and anxiety. If I get back on it, how long will it take these symptons to go away. I will begin either today or tomorrow.My prescriptions come by mail.
i felt like i had this huge wieght on my chest and all i did was worry about everything and think crazy things. So then i switched to Lexapro 10 mg and grad. things got better. i feel normal again but sometimes i feel it coming back. i know lexapro and celexa are similar so i'm SO scared it will stop working like the celexa did. i dont really worry about it to much because i don't want to think negitive ...but its in the back of my mind.
No disrespect, but this is one of the more absurd questions I have read. You are on an anti-depressant (lexapro) and consuming alcohol, a CNS depressant, AND taking another mind-numbing substance (Vicodin). You should be taking Lexapro ONLY to deal with depression or whatever reason you are taking it. Both other meds are contraindicated for Lexapro. Smarten up.
But they want to try SSRIs for blood pressure and stuff either lexapro or Paxil witch u herd were really bad for the heart are these safe with heartrate in the 30s rbbb and nuerocardiogentic
Hello michoy I have seen many questions on here about this lexapro which is something new to me but on there website it contains side effects which it happens to come with .. if your probmelm is lack of seratonin and you are feeling alittle bit depressed there are always natural remedies which can help you i would recomend 5HTP pills which help stablize your mood naturaly with herbs ..
I'm tapering off Klonopin myself. Used daily for 8 months before I started taper. I've been tapering since May and am only down 25% off my original dose. It has been getting increasingly harder. I've been experiencing all the same things you have. I'm also on lexapro which isn't helping. Not everyone has trouble coming off. My personal suggestion is to start a taper now if you are having tolerance withdrawals. Good luck and go as slow as you need to.
In 2006 I had a hysterectomy and my TSH was 0.8. I started on Lexapro a few months later. In 2007, while on Lexapro, my TSH was 1.76. In June 2008, my TSH was 2.56 and my doctor told me that if the level reaches 3.0, he would like to start me on therapy. Not only have I had a hysterectomy, been taking Lexapro, and Spirnolactone (for acne), I have gained 13 pounds. I am still 5'9 weighing 135, but I have never gained weight.

Sorry your wife is going through this, I have a few questions. How long was she on the Lexapro (doesn't sound like very long) and at what dose? Was she tapered off, or did she stop taking it abruptly?
SSRI antidepressants commonly have somewhat of a "discontinuation syndrome", which is sort of a fancy term for withdrawal. They don't call it w/d, because that class of meds isn't considered to be habit forming.
I have a question I have been on lexapro for 3 weeks now and the first week was all good no side effects, I believe i had a placebo effect becasue i seemed happier, but then after two weeks of taking it my anxiety came back worse then ever. I have GAD. I take the lexapro in the evening around 8. I wake up in the morning with severe anxiety that usually calms down around noon, then i have mild anxiety for the rest of the day. After the morning episodes I feel worn out, tired.
