The crater that you describe is the space created by removal of the mole. This may decrease in size and intensity over time. However, it may be difficult to say if it would go away completely. Any scars or injury marks, do decrease over time, however, they may or may not acquire the appearance of a normal unhealed skin.

you can ask about laser treatments to get rid of it....though I doubt it's really "bad". we tend to see things as HUGE when really they aren't so bad. I have a nine inch scar on my leg and had been made fun of a lot as a kid. but once I stopped caring, so did everyone else.
