Avatar f tn I typically have an extremely high pain tolerance. I have tattoos all over, several piercings, have had laser hair removal in more places than a human should, and none of these processes were painful (ok, laser hair removal was no walk in the park but I did all areas without numbing cream). I know they say there is no pain like labor pains, but does anyone recommend it natural without meds and have any advice to naturally deal with the pain and any possible advice to make labor shorter?
Avatar n tn Hello, There are 5 types of laser hair removal systems. These include pulsed light, Nd YAG laser, diode laser. Alexanderite laser and ruby laser. This depends on the skin type and varies from patient to patient. I suggest you to get an evaluation done from a dermatologist for the skin type and then depending on that, laser hair removal can be decided.

Avatar n tn ve seen different therapies available, but I am not sure which one I should be looking for (i.e. IPL / Fraxel Laser... There were other laser types but I am not sure.) Different places have different treatments and I just wanted to have a better idea what might remove this single flat mole, and cause minimal to no discoloration if removed. Please guide me to the direction and type of professional I should look for.
Avatar f tn The discolored skin turned black after the treatment and flaked off after a few days. BTW, this is the same laser used to remove tattoos.
Avatar n tn It sounds like you might have some hemosiderin staining--i.e., your skin has been stained by your blood. I had that problem following eye surgery. In some cases, this type of staining can be permanent--but don't worry, I have a solution for you. Google "candela laser" to find the company's website. You'll find a small-scale study in which the AlexTriVantage laser successfully removed "permanent" hemosiderin stains.
Avatar n tn Last year I stared getting ingrown hairs in my face pretty much out of nowhere. I really did not have acne problems before this began. I have been using duac gel and it reallt has not gotten much better. I have been told that laser treatment would be a great choice. What is the average price range for the laser removal of ingrown hairs? Avatar m tn I recently heard about a treatment for cancerous cysts that involves laser removal but goes in vaginally vs. requiring surgery. I can't find any details online. Has anyone heard of this? Is it even possible?
Avatar n tn I have used TCA, glycolic peels, hydroquinone, tretioin, kojic, bit nothing has reduced it. Recently i heard that yag laser can be used for depigmenting skin by destroying melanin cells itself, and in a way cause hypopigmentation in these regions. Can I do this. Please advice the type of laser, etc.
Avatar n tn Hi, Needless to remind you that you need to talk to your doctor, a cardiologist. If the varicose vein is in the legs, I understand that laser treatment is possible. Please google for ' laser treatment for varicose veins ' for more details.
Avatar m tn You could also try laser hair removal. It's expensive and a bit painful, but it would significantly reduce the amount of hair permanently. It works best for people with darker hair and lighter skin since the laser looks for the color contrast. If you do laser hair removal, you'll probably use a lidocaine cream 30 minutes before the treatment. It basically feels like a rubber band snapping on your skin. Laser hair removal requires several treatments to work.
Avatar n tn Does body laser hair removal effect the baby if pregnant ? Is it okay to have laser done while pregnant ?
682777 tn?1226687522 anybody using IPL for facial hair removal ? please contact to share experiences.
Avatar f tn I have had a few tattoos placed to cover scars that I've got & the only thing I can say is the normal pain of a tattoo is nothing compared to tattooing a scar... it hurts like hell. A lot of tattoo places won't even try because scar tissue is unpredictable & for some tattoos great, but for others it doesn't take properly & looks worse then the scars themselves. I would try a dermatologist for options & try scar removal options. Bio-Oil may help lighten it.
Avatar f tn The brownish staining from the bruising I got following multiple surgeries on my right eye was completely removed by a single treatment with a Q-switched laser. This is the same laser used to remove tattoos. I had previously been told that the problem was untreatable, since no cream could penetrate that deeply. But I recently found an article on the Candelalaser website describing the use of a Q-switched laser to treat blood staining on the legs and calves. I was referred to Dr.
606433 tn?1220239937 Should I get permanent hair removal surgery? I heard that lasers work good for my problem. I have too much hair, and I need to get it removed.
Avatar f tn Hi, I had a mole on my face and I did a mole excursion, a small brown spot grew back, and I did a mole laser removal surgery to get it remove. However after the laser removal surgery, my mole is not disorted and grown, it doesn't seem to be a tissue scar cause it is dark brown and a raiser lump has occurred. Is this an indication of something? Can I get mole removal again using laser or excision or it would keep coming back? Thanks!
Avatar m tn Various methods used for mole removal are excision and cauterization. Although laser removal has been tried for moles, it is not usually the method of choice for most deep moles because the laser light doesn't penetrate deeply enough. You can get this mole evaluated from a dermatologist and get it evaluated. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
