My husband has knee pain and his also become very painful when driving or sitting too long. He uses heat on them and also takes Glucosamine to help.

I am wondering if anyone out there had this done ?? What was your experience ?? How long after the proceedure did it take before you could drive your car again ??
I am scheduled for tomorrow 3/16/11 and have to be back here to work (which means driving) on sunday.
So, I ran into pickup on a speed I was driving with and it hit another car. Front damage to my car is beyond any repair. I did not get any injuries, because Tahoe is a strong car and I was not driving too fast. But what worries me, WHY? Where was I for those seconds? I was not texting, talking on the phone; my eyes were on the road. Do you think that's Chiari related? I do have symptoms today like dull pain and pressure in my head. Before that I was driving pretty good.
While driving my knee hurt badly enough that it was all I could focus on. Sharp pain. When I got to school I tried to get out of the car and had extreme sharp shooting pain in my knee. I thought it was broken so I went and had it x-rayed. They said it was fine but the scrape is infected. I waited 1 day to see if it would heal on its own and then went and filled the keflex that the dr prescribed and have had a days worth of doses and just woke up this morning.
My son was around 2 and we got hit by a suv and when I got out of the car that stopped against a curb on the side of the road I was hit by another car driving by. I went flying thru the air and landed on my right shoulder. That was around 4 years ago and I still freak out sometimes especially in the winter. Soon to have 3 children in the car a 7 year old a 1 year old and a newborn and it's scary as all get out to leave the house thinking about doing that with all my babies.
Did you find out anything from your neuro? Have you had any more problems.
I have had a similar problem once, though I'm not sure if it was for the same reasons. I was in a store parking lot on my way out and tried to brake when I came to the end of the aisle. My foot just kept hitting air, which freaked me out. Fortunately, I wasn't going very fast and no one was coming so I turned away from the exit and eventually found the brake. It was a stressful drive home.
Recently I have been so terrified to get in a car or even the school bus. I did get into a car accident 3 years ago (my mom was driving) where we hit a deer and the airbags went off but no one was hurt and I wasn't fazed at the time. Whenever i'm in a car now i feel my stomach clenching and it's hard to breathe. I feel like i'm gonna throw up and it doesn't stop until i'm out of the car. This didn't start happening until recently but it's quite severe.
I think she was feeling a pinched nerve type sensation. When the nerves get irritated, they'll tend to tingle and feel numb...with RLS people, it's a neuromuscular problem, you can see the muscle fibers ripple when it gets bad and the nerves are misfiring all over the place, and some describe it as ants crawling on their legs, so that's what I think was going on. It's just the way she's wired.
This started 3 months ago, Knee pain that started at night worst pain ever / I went to orthopedic and he drew fluid said it was gout . Shortly after mild right side back pain that seemed to make my knee worse.
Went to my Dr at home liver enzymes and cholesterol up . Suggested a low fat diet prescribed anti inflammatories .
Pain in back got worse so went to Mayo Clinic , Ct scan reveled a horseshoe lesion liver . Dr said in his opinion nothing to worry about come back in 3 months .
Intermittent lower back aches, buttock pan especially when sitting too long, pain down the back of my leg, expecially when driving with foot on gas. First noticed in Thanksgiving, six months ago.
Off and on have been trying stretches, ice, not sleepign on stomach, not running (usually I'd go running hafl an hour a day and wasn't sure if that was provoking it.)
It can get painful sometimes (again, especially when sitting for long periods), but not unbearable.
Hi. I am 21 and have Panic Attacks whilst driving. It mainly occurs at nighttime. I feel like everything is tight and i'm almost fighting for breath and to keep my heart from racing too much. I cannot stop it. My doctor put me on beta blockers, i've been on them for months and they don't seem to help. I don't travel in a car much anymore, and I would love to be able to again. What can I do? I've tried driving more to fight it but it never works.
hi ,I experience very similar kind of pains.. especially in the morning and especially in my fingers.. today I was driving my car for a while and I am feeling severe pain in my right feet (which I was driving with).
I am so worried coz this has been over a month now and I think it gets worse with activity ..can you help me ?
My knee never lost all the swelling and pain increases with even mild activity; sitting with knee bent 90 degrees and driving (even getting in and out of the car) are everyday challenges. I am now going through physical therapy and pray this works. I have been told several things such as cortisone flare, bursitis, broken blood vessels or damage to the tendon but no conformation on any of these. My knee is seriously worse now than before the injections.
