The closest thing I could find is if you think of your knee joints like a door. In cold weather, it shrinks. In hot weather, it expands. Do you think you have arthritis? For some people, they really do react to either cold or hot.

Thanks runningmom and jaded sweetheart I appreciate the feedback .Jaded the weather here in Ky is pretty hot and humid .It's sunny and pretty today .I don't think it's weather related .I am doing the RICE thing .Do ya'll think it would be OK to take an 800mg ibuprofen? I take lortab 10/500 3xday . I just thought the ibuprofen would help the inflammation.

I have been having alot of knee pain that burns and feels hot to the touch. It is about the same in both knees. They are not swollen or red it just feels like they hurt and burn on the inside. Any ideas what may be causing this? Thanks in advance for any information.

I am 1 yr post op and I do feel weather has something to do with the pressure in my head. As it get's cooler, I have more pain. At least I'm blaming it on Chairi. :) Having pain issues every day makes it hard to actually put a finger on it. I am so glad to hear your feeling good ther wise. I can't wait for that day to come.

I do not know if this applies to you however you can tell when your knee buckles that the sharp pain is due to the tearing of the ACL. This does not only happen in sports but it can happen in normal daily activities. Why? Because it takes a certain position and a certain amount of strength, and the criteria for it doesn't necessarily just apply to sports. Also in terms of suggestions, you have to be aware that cold compression is worse than hot compression.

I tend to be okay (meaning in not as much pain) then in a few hours time I am in agonizing pain. I often cry because nothing stops this pain and it's just too unbearable. I was wondering if anyone else noticed this....Usually when the weather is terrible I will get a sharp deep deep pain in my left knee. Well this morning I got it again, yet it's 60 degrees outside. I'm not a super active person, however I do do things. I was just cleaning up my bedroom this morning, and noticed the pain. I was nearly to tears. When I touched the back of my knee around the tendon, it hurt significantly more.

Im 22wks 5days we went to an outdoor flea market and walked around for awhile it was really hot I was really sweaty I live in tx but anyways all of a sudden I got super lighthea,nauseous, and dizzy and I couldn't see clearly I felt like I was about to faint has this happen to anybody do yall think it was just the heat or could it have been something more I drank a bottle of water and sat down for awhile and felt alot better but I was to the point were I wanted to cry

The weather in houston is super hot it tried to rain a bit earlier but since then its just been cloudy I love the rain its cuddling weather :)

I have a hot feeling on my right knee, but it is not hot to touch it feels like I have a heater on it half the time. It comes and go often but only lasting for 1 minute or less. It doesn't hurt but is very annoying. Anybody else had or have this problem.

Hi there. Well, I'm not totally sure what you mean it radiates to your knee. You have pain all the way down to your knee? I'd say that is unusual. I've had super uncomfortable menstrual cramps in my life as well as a cyst on my ovary that eventually passed (very painful). I did just weather through with ibuprofen. It does work well for me for relieving pain and discomfort. But if you are concerned or if the pain is super bad, then it might be wise to check in with your doctor.

You may have arthritic problems now in your knee. The numbness in the foot could be from referred pain from your knee or lower back, inappropriate footwear or nerve damage. Apply hot, or cold packs to the knee. Use the one that helps the best. If the climate is hot and you work out a lot and sweat, you may require more than the 3 litres of water throughout the day.

I have bad arthritis in my right knee, and am starting to have pain in my left. I have been told I am too young for a knee replacement. My doc & I have tried numerous arthritis medications that upset my stomach, ie diarrhea. glucosamine and chondroitin supplements>can’t tell any difference. It felt as if the joint pain was moving, started in right elbow with a deep sharp pain and next was in left knee then left ankle tendon. Both calves hurt as if by vigorous exercise and were tender to the touch. By the weekend of March 10th it was in right ankle and shin bone-then right knee. Joints and muscles remain weakened and mildly achy even after the sharp pain subsides.

Hi there, what wonderful cool weather that sounds like! I too am in the deep south and the only relief is the occasional brief gusts of wind off the gulf. It's hot, warm and muggy here night and day. I'm in love with our A/C! and I stay inside where it's cool! I'm a bit like Quix though, and I don't like all that air blowing on me, so if you could see me now you see me in sweatpants trying not to freeze.

The doctor said he would get chewed out if he sent us to a specialist and told me to stop obsessing about his knee. I us very upset and told him I am not one of those types of parents who don't care about my child! He said he is knocked kneed and the pain is nothing serious since everything cam back ok. I have mild to severe pain in my left leg. Sometimes it's from my foot to my knee, sometimes from my foot to thigh. On really bad days my left hand will ache as well. It's a dull constant ache and is agitated by rainy weather/ pressure changes. I'm 23 now and I vaguely remember it when I was around age 7....it may have been before then. Im 33 yrs old male.Since last several years i feel pain in winter in knees.Pain increases when knees remain bent for more than 30 minutes nd when i stretch legs pain shoots up nd disappears in about 1 or 2 minutes.Then if i bend legs pain starts in same way.What should i do what should i eat nd what should i not?
