Avatar n tn The problem is I feel severe pain at the back of my knee any time I try to walk. Can any medication help alleviate or stop this pain. What can help me wriggle my right toes again?
Avatar f tn There is no pain on touching just when I walk.. pain lessons if I walk more on my full foot. Pain worsen in the am. Yes I understand that why not just walk on your hole foot. But I can't yet, I'm just not ready and my knee is at a slight bend. I can not fully straighten nor can I fully bend it yet. So should I be worried?
Avatar m tn I juts had a synvisc one injection 2 days ago. i went for a walk today and started to experience pain at 15 minutes into my walk. Pain was worse than before I had the injection. My doc indicates that my pain is not severe enough to have the knee replaced. Maybe it hasn't been long enough for the injection to work yet, however, I wouldn't expect the pain to be worse. Anybody had similar results. FYI I am 67 years old.
Avatar f tn I hate to read you are suffering. A knee replacement is suppose to improve your function and it does not sound like that has been your experience. Have you talked to your doctor about your symptoms? Has he/she given you any feedback? I have not had a knee replaced but hope someone here who has will write to you. You might also post in the orthopedics forum as I know they talk about joint replacements there as well.
Avatar n tn ago I started having knee pain. I twisted my knee at work, and had to kneel for a long time behind my class who were performing on stage. Well, over the last couple wks the pain has gotten worse and worse. Today I CANNOT put weight on it and it is swollen. The pain originates on the inside of my knee, not in the soft spot next to the patella, but outside that. At this pt. the pain has spread all over my knee, but to touch it is super tender in that inside spot.
Avatar f tn I am having a similar knee pain problem. After walking a long distance 3 days in a row on a trip my knees began to kill me. Now nearly a month later my right knee is fine and left is still having pain. Like you I am only 24 and don't won't to have to spend money going to a doctor. Did your pain ever go away? Did you ever have your knees checked out?

Avatar n tn Three weeks before Chiari surgery could not walk due to pain in his right foot and knee. After surgery was fine, could walk without pain. Three weeks after surgery hit a bump in the road, almost immediately right foot and knee pain could not walk again. What is new is now when tries to stand on left foot has terrible pain in the back of neck. MRI's show nothing that could relate to what is going on. Also no one can touch right knee, right foot, or any part of his back without servere pain.
Avatar m tn Hi, I am 40 years old. Basically, it's like this...the longer I sit, the more it (my left knee) hurts. If I stand after sitting a long time, I just can't take it, and have to walk around for a couple minutes. After I walk around for a couple minutes, it feels absolutely fine. I feel as if nothing is wrong. And if I walk around all day I'm completely fine(No Pain). I can go up and down stairs just fine.... it's just the sitting ... if I sit too long, that's what kills me.
Avatar f tn Was having pains in my knee when I walk so I took MRI and was told I had a partial tear but my doctor told me the knee is stable after examining it but I feel sharp pains when I walk later I was told it's anterior horn of meniscus that is injured , what are some of its symptoms
Avatar n tn Last thursday I had my right leg crossed over my left with my knee leaning against the edge of my desk while sitting. A coworker thought it would be funny to hit my knee. They hit me really hard right on the Vastus Medalius Muscle. It was originally just a little sore but over the next day or so i didn't feel any pain. Over the weekend I started to get more pain below my knee right on the Pes Anserinus Bursa that makes it painful to walk and run alot.
Avatar n tn Forget running or even a quick brisk walk. I limp still and question whether the long term results are worth all the pain and suffering to have the TKR. Very happy for those who it worked. i would love to not live with this daily pain. Don't give up getting answers. seek 2nd and 3rd opinions if need pain. Pain is very debilitating. Good luck to you!!
Avatar f tn 51 yo F, diagnosed with Runners Knee, have been in pain, swollen and limping for 7 months. Dr. says to just keep coming back for cortisone, but it really does nothing. I can hardly walk, I am in pain, do I have to live like this? Is my doctor on the right track? Maybe I have meniscus tears??? It affects everything... walking, sleeping, working. Help!! Also, I have had xrays only. Shows no arthritis. In both knees, although one is worse than the other.
Avatar f tn 15 months ago I had total knee replacement, now I have pain there. There is a sore spot on either side of the knee, sometimes the pain wakes me. My ortho did x-rays last wk and cannot find any reason for the pain. Have any of you had this same experience?
Avatar m tn I felt no discomfort then, but each day afterward for about a week I felt first pain on the lateral side of the knee, then the pain moved to the medial side of the knee, now the only discomfort is on the posterior portion of the knee in the soft tissue with my leg straight as I walk. It was bad enough last week that I was limping, (almost ready for a cane) but it was intermittent. What happened to my knee and what should I do to heal it and for how long?
Avatar m tn His left knee can only bend about 20 degrees before sharp pain sets in, while his right knee can bend about 60 or 70 degrees before feeling pain. He's been seeing a physio but the severe pain and limited range of motion in his left knee bothers me. His knee feels stiff and sore and he struggles to move the left leg. I'd like to hear from an orthopedic expert, are there any obvious "mistakes" that can be made during this kind of surgery?
Avatar f tn i fell at work off a 4 step ladder in feb 2009 hit head on sink and then hit the floor i have a doctor workers comp. i was fired 5 days after fall, initially my back ,right leg ,pretty much right side of my body would hurt and stayed sore i have had 34 sessions in physi ...

645800 tn?1466860955 Let's see it was about 3 weeks ago I was sent to see about braces for my knees and AFOs for my drop foot at the VA. Evidently there is a new type of AFO available that doesn't rub my ankle or side of foot like the others one they have tried in the past. So now with the aid of these I can walk normally, at least on level ground.
Avatar m tn Hi, I have pain in the tibia of my left leg, which I think is below the knee cap. The pain started when I was 18, after I got an injury during a basketball game. Now I'm 20 and I still feel the pain only when I engage in physical activity. What's wrong with me. Could these by osgood schlatters disease?
Avatar m tn Hi can somebody help me with this? I have been suffering from this for around two months now. I feel pain in and around my knees in the mornings mostly the pain is around most of the time but it's really hurts in the morning or after sitting for a long while in the office. Its also hurts a lot when I sit for a long while in an air-conditioned place that’s why at office I take a walk every half hour out side in the sun.
Avatar f tn My knee is stiff and painful today underneath the knee cap where the pes anserine tendon inserts and to the inside of the knee cap (medially). I also have pain in the middle of the back of the knee, is especially sharp if I push into it. In terms of comfort and daily activities, I am having no trouble walking except that my knee will get a little swollen (very slight) and stiff if I walk a lot.
Avatar m tn and was given a few strecthes and leg strengthening exercises to help with my knee problems. Well, after a solid two weeks of performing these exercises, my knee feels strong and well. But whenever i have to stretch and put my left knee into my buttox the entire knee feels an incredible amount of pain. Also, whenever I try and sit on my ankles, I am in HUGE amounts of pain just in the left knee.
Avatar f tn I had total knee replacement surgery 10 weeks ago and am still experiencing significant knee pain, consisting of stiffness and alot of pain in the knee. The pain wakes me up at night. I am going to Physical Therapy 3 times a week and I still do alot of therapy myself at home. I walk, and try to go about my daily routine, but the pain is still there,, some days worse than others. I also had a three disc fusion done in January,, 2007.
Avatar m tn Hi! About 9 days ago I got a MCL (medial ligament) sprain on my left knee, doing sports, i'm in my mid 30s. Minor swelling and some pain to knee. The knee started feeling around 80% better about 3 days ago. I wore knee brace every day even to sleep, 2 days ago I changed to a more comfortable brace with those metal hinges on sides, also slept with it. My current issue/question, is 2 days ago I woke up with a swollen ankle and pain when putting leg down to walk.
Avatar n tn In the beginning of august I had a bad fall. I was put in a knee splint. After an MRI it looks like I have a grade 3 MCL tear. Prior to that, I've had habitual dislocation of the patella. Today, the doctor said I might have never had a connected MCL since my knee would "travel" with every step (and I could walk and function completely normally, before the injury).
Avatar n tn I now have mild swelling legs below my knee. I still can feel sharp pain going up or down staircase. I cant even squat as the pain is sharp and I just don't like it. Any one who can tell me if this is normal after the arthroscopy ?
