How is your hydration? My understanding is being dehydrated will cause there to be excess waste in your urine which creates the ammonia smell and that can happen when we are dehydrated. Bladder stones and UTI's are other reasons. No other symptoms leads me to believe it is likely an issue with proper hydration and I'd try to increase it even if you feel you are currently drinking enough. Is the color clear?

Ammonia odor can be associated with H. pylori. Ammonia can also be associated with urine and fecal material and not due to H. pylori.

I have heard of this and it isn't safe at all nor remotely accurate. Urine has ammonia in it and when ammonia and bleach mix it releases a very toxic gas, and almost always when urine hits bleach it will fiz or foam that's what creates the gas. I had a friend who tried this once in high school, (just for fun, she wasn't pregnant nor did she want to be) and she ended up in the hospital from the gas it created.
