I have ammonia smell in urine and have had a bad headache for a week. One of the meds I amon is coumadine a blood thinner. Could I have thinned my blood to thin and now have ammonia in my blood? What could cause the headaches? Is it serious?

I have the same problem with the ammonia smell in urine? All tests and color are fine. I don"t drink water. Tea and diet soda's. I have no insurance to go to urologist. Is there anything over the counter for cure? It is terrible.

I'm almost positive I'm pregnant i would be 4weeks tomorrow but I'm gunna take a preg test in 6days but i noticed a few days after I most likely cocked I've been having really odorous urine it smells horrible :/ like there's ammonia smell to it have any of you ladies had this same problem in early pregnancy?

Old urine for me means ammonia, an ammonia smell which the body can release for several reasons. Maybe see a GP first and have some blood test done? And if you’re taking any fancy supplements try not to for a bit?

I have heard of this and it isn't safe at all nor remotely accurate. Urine has ammonia in it and when ammonia and bleach mix it releases a very toxic gas, and almost always when urine hits bleach it will fiz or foam that's what creates the gas. I had a friend who tried this once in high school, (just for fun, she wasn't pregnant nor did she want to be) and she ended up in the hospital from the gas it created. Sorry didn't mean to scare you just stating the facts.

Lately when I urinate, it smells very strongly, but not of ammonia or of any of the other common complaints; more like animal urine (a very strong urine smell). I drink a lot of water, urinate regularly, and have no other symptoms. What could this be, should I be worried?

Get a little bit of bleach and put it in a cup and take your urine and poor it inside the bleach if it foams and fizzles it suppose to mean girl if it does nothing at all it suppose to mean boy.

Urine has ammonia in it. Ammonia mixed with bleach makes a VERY toxic gas.

Kitties just have ammonia in the urine and while it smells super nasty it won't harm the baby because its not concentrated enough. Breathing is safe, touching not so much.

Every morning for the past two months my urine in the mornning smells very strong. The smell is almost similar to the smell of stale urine. You know that smell when urine sits for awhile.. kinda like that. And it's only really strong in the morning. It doesn't hurt to pee or anything... so should I be worried?

t know if this will help but I would try using a biological washing powder on the carpet - I know it works with animals where the ammonia smell is really strong so perhaps it might help on human urine. With regard to a health risk I would assume not (although don't quote me).

The ammonia smell is in my nose and nowhere else, not not urine, not my skin, Its strange. And I drink 8 - 10 glasses of water a day.
