Avatar m tn Hello.I'm a 21 year dude and I've got a problem with some muscles in my left hand. I need to say right off the bat that I masturbate a lot. Once every 2-3 days / Once a day / Twice a day , these three periods repeat. About 7-8 months ago I noticed that my index and my ring finger twitch slightly left and right.I'm really skinny and I can see the muscle between my index finger and my thumb twitch really quickly.
Avatar f tn I have some issues with my neck and the other day my right pointer finger twitched uncontrollingly all that day. Its stopped now but I've never had my fingers twitch like this before. Related? Who knows, keep me posted.
Avatar f tn Hi, I have been having painless twitching between my thumb and index finger for over 30 days. I can see it clearly under the skin. I am very concerned. I have convinced myself I have ALS. I do not think I am experiencing muscle weakness. My right hand for years has been a little sore that does seem to getting worse. For example, was sore while tying my son's skates at hockey.
Avatar m tn There is no pain when it happens and it will happen any time of the day and twitch uncontrolably for anywhere from 10 minutes to over an hour. It seems to be twitching inbetween my thumb and index finger in that groove and on the inside of my thumb. What could be causing this?
Avatar f tn The last week or so I have noticed that while at rest, my left thumb starts to vibrate and move towards my index finger. Very annoying but it only happens a few times per minute then goes away for up to several hours. I have 2 questions, is this from spasticity and does anyone else have it affect their thumbs? Thanks!
Avatar n tn maybe a trapped nerve,if it keeps accoring go to your docter, try to not lean on it as that might be the problem
1184460 tn?1273986230 The twitching does not happen when my hands are busy, but when my hands are just resting, my thumb and index finger jump back and forth. I thought it was maybe a sign of low vitamin levels. I began taking daily multi vitamins but the twitches have remained. I'm eating healthy and getting plenty of sleep, but the twitches are just as strong as ever. I have not thought a lot about these issues up until the last two weeks.
645800 tn?1466860955 Twice now in the last month I have gotten a twitch between my thumb and index finger. Both times the twitching went on for hours on end. But what really bothers me is that afterwards I have had a bruise show up in the area of the twitching. Does anyone else get bruises for their episode of twitches?
Avatar f tn Could it be something I am breathing? My left thumb twitches and pulsates in the part between my thumb and index finger. I have had an EMG (over a year ago) which came back that I had an overactive nerve or muscle I can’t remember which it was on my left side. Nerve conduction studies came back normal. EEG came back normal. I would love to figure out what could be causing it. I do not believe it is stress related.
Avatar n tn Recently the base of my thumb started hurting in the joint accompanied with some index and middle finger tremor/twitching. Finally it became annoying enough I went to my orthopedic surgeon. The thumb base was very sore. He said I had arthritis in the joint but wasn't sure what was causing the tremor. I have to preface this; a few months prior to this I would wake up and that hand would be completely numb. However, it is not doing this currently.
Avatar n tn However, tonight while I was holding a piece of paper in my hand with my thumb and middle finger, my middle finger just started twitching uncontrollably. It only happened when I was barely trying to grip it, when I gripped the paper tighter it went away. So over the past couple years to compensate, like if I'm holding paper, I'll just situate it in my hand without gripping it and let it sit there, or I'll grip it tight so it won't twitch.
Avatar f tn My index finger twitches in a resting position, also my thumb sometimes...I also have a strange knot on top of the same hand, you can see it when I bend my hand down at the wrist. what does this mean? Its been going on for weeks now and I am very scared. I just worry that this is some kind of neurological issue, I have never experienced this until now and it is not going away. I cannot go to the doctor about this until July as I have no medical insurance until July 1st. Please help..
Avatar n tn My right thumb and index finger have been twitching lately. There is no pain involved and it's my right hand only. What could be causing this?
Avatar m tn A few weeks later, I noticed I could feel a nerve fairly easy between my thumb and index finger. Here recently I've had a lot of headaches, muscle twitching and aching pain in my left arm/hand. I've noticed that my pinky finger can move but seems to move like I was double jointed or something. I seem to have a stiff neck every now and then but I feel like I've always had that. When I hold a cup or a glass of something in my left hand I shake really bad.
Avatar n tn between index finger and thumb on my left had has been hurting about 3 weeks. It hurts when I first use my thumb and seems to die down but has intermittent flares with continued use. I chalked it up to texting thumb. So that's where I am right now. Scared out of my mind wondering if I have initial ALS symptoms. 20 years in the service with no fear (not deployed to the gulf so I think I'm sheltered form the higher risk).
Avatar f tn The twitching is noticable every couple hours when I am sitting still at the computer or nursing my baby. I have twitches mostly in my calves and thumb and index finger on both hands and twitches in my ankles and thighs sometimes. Usually it is calves and thumbs. I am a nervous wreck - I spend all day on the computer at work looking for symptoms of ALS. I am wondering if it starts with twitching or if that is a later symtom.
1468406 tn?1286489142 It pretty much goes away when I am not flaring up, but each flare brings it on stronger, and this time around it is including my middle finger, and occasionally my index finger and thumb. The tremor is NOT there when my hand is relaxed (for example, hanging at my side or with the fingers curled). However when I stretch my hand out/straighten my fingers, they start jumping around wildly. It is like they have a mind of there own.
Avatar n tn I could still see the redness on my cut on my thumb after having sex with her. I fingered her with my middle and index finger but didnt do anything with my thumb. I am afraid that I acidentally touched my cut on my thumb with my index finger which had her vaginal fluids. Also, I kissed her after she put her own vaginal fluids in her mouth. So, what are my chances of contracting HIV from her vaginal fluids on the cut on my thumb and on my chapped lips? Thank you so much for your answer.
Avatar n tn It started off with just twitching in my right thumb/index finger, now over the last few weeks the twitching has spread throughout my body and in my face as well at times. I've recently gotten a fever as well although I don't feel nauseous, I feel weak and achey along with these twitches I've become pretty concerned at this point. I've also noticed some head pressure when I do certain activities that require labor. I'm just wondering what this could be?
Avatar f tn My deepest concern is that the twitching has progressed throughtout my body- the back of my head, my neck, back, my limbs, abdomen, and just recently my fingers (mainly my right index finger and thumb). The twitching has become more frequent and is most noticeable when I am trying to sleep/relax. There are times when it feels my whole body is vibrating (again mainly when I am trying to sleep). There's not a day that goes by that I don't have muscle twitching.
Avatar f tn I would get random muscle twitches (eye, lip, leg, thumb, index or middle finger, etc) most of my life, but recently, my left middle finger would twitch for a month. It's recently started to lay off the twitches, but it twitched a few times today. During my research on this, I am still not sure how hypot. would have anything to do with muscle twitching. I know stress is often a trigger, but I don't feel stressed despite working two jobs.
Avatar m tn However, recently, I have developed considerably greater tremors, particularly in the thumb and index finger of my right hand and even more so in the thumb, pinky, and index finger of my left hand. Usually at rest nothing twitches, but under contraction or when trying to execute a movement or task, the twitching/tremors often become extreme. I also feel tight and maybe tingly on the top of my forearms and a sort of almost bony ache in the fingers of each hand. Anyway have ideas?
Avatar n tn m 44yrs old and have had a muscle spasm very close to nonstop in my right hand inbetween the index finger and thumb for over two years. I mentioned it to my doctor about a year ago and was told that it is probably just stress related. Granted, I've been under a lot of stress in the past year and nearly as much the year before, but most of my life has been stressful. I've had MRIs done for headaches (ruled to be some sort of migraine) and there was no indication of brain issues.
Avatar f tn The symptoms just started three months ago, twitching of the web between my thumb and index finger, twitching of my eye, soreness under my knee and muscles, now my arm is really weak and sore. I'm really happy I found this site and hope I get some answers or advice. This discussion is related to Twitching, joint/muscle pain, fatigue.
Avatar m tn s no swelling. My wrist pops easily. The central knuckles of my index finger, middle finger and ring finger all hurt. The index finger also hurt a few days at the base, but stopped. I have a doctor's appointment on the 7th. Sorry for the repeated posts; just a little worried and the appointment seems so far away. If you were me, what you lean closer to? Arthritis or tendonitis?
Avatar f tn If this is short term it may be relieved by rest and proper sleep. If it continues it may be due to median nerve or ulnar nerve related problem. You have to go to a neurologist for examination. Take care!
Avatar m tn My thumb and index finger are sorta peeling around the nail and I wonder if I am at risk of getting HIV.
Avatar n tn thank you for considering my question i have regular twitching in the index, middle and ring fingers of my left hand. it started abt 10-12months back with only my index finger twitching , and abt 2-3 months back , my middle finger started twitching, and from the last few days it has started in my ring finger also. the fingers start twitching randomly wenever left lose .and continue for upto 2-3 minutes. the amplitude of twitching varies from 0.4cm to about 1.5 cm and the frequency varies too .
