my index finger keeps twitching

My nerves seem to be going crazy too. My right middle finger twitches sometimes then it takes several days off from twitching. Then my left arm (on the in side near my eldow) begain to twitch also. sometimes I think it's from playing the basss guitar because a play so hard I get blood blisters on my right index and my twicthing finger quite often. I get restless and some anxiety at night.

thank you for considering my question i have regular twitching in the index, middle and ring fingers of my left hand. it started abt 10-12months back with only my index finger twitching , and abt 2-3 months back , my middle finger started twitching, and from the last few days it has started in my ring finger also. the fingers start twitching randomly wenever left lose .and continue for upto 2-3 minutes. the amplitude of twitching varies from 0.4cm to about 1.5 cm and the frequency varies too .

My left index finger developed a strange twitch stop and starts again been maybe almost 2 months now.....it's really annoying so i sometimes turn my hand into a fist so i wouldn't get that twitch again...i work all day in front of a computer for over ten yrs now...and don't know if it's due to the way i position my hand on the desk...or it's a sign of something more serious.. i'm right handed, by the way.

Twice now in the last month I have gotten a twitch between my thumb and index finger. Both times the twitching went on for hours on end. But what really bothers me is that afterwards I have had a bruise show up in the area of the twitching. Does anyone else get bruises for their episode of twitches?

There is no pain when it happens and it will happen any time of the day and twitch uncontrolably for anywhere from 10 minutes to over an hour. It seems to be twitching inbetween my thumb and index finger in that groove and on the inside of my thumb. What could be causing this?

I have some issues with my neck and the other day my right pointer finger twitched uncontrollingly all that day. Its stopped now but I've never had my fingers twitch like this before. Related? Who knows, keep me posted.

The closest thing I get to what you are describing is a tremor/twitching of my left index finger. Like with your thumb it only lasts for a short while (minute or two) then goes away for hours or days even. It is because of this repetitive movement that I refer to it as a tremor. I tend to think of spasticity as a singe movement (tightening) of a muscle like with my MS HUG and my leg cramping.

Hi, I have been having painless twitching between my thumb and index finger for over 30 days. I can see it clearly under the skin. I am very concerned. I have convinced myself I have ALS. I do not think I am experiencing muscle weakness. My right hand for years has been a little sore that does seem to getting worse. For example, was sore while tying my son's skates at hockey.

It pretty much goes away when I am not flaring up, but each flare brings it on stronger, and this time around it is including my middle finger, and occasionally my index finger and thumb. The tremor is NOT there when my hand is relaxed (for example, hanging at my side or with the fingers curled). However when I stretch my hand out/straighten my fingers, they start jumping around wildly. It is like they have a mind of there own.

However, tonight while I was holding a piece of paper in my hand with my thumb and middle finger, my middle finger just started twitching uncontrollably. My deepest concern is that the twitching has progressed throughtout my body- the back of my head, my neck, back, my limbs, abdomen, and just recently my fingers (mainly my right index finger and thumb). I would get random muscle twitches (eye, lip, leg, thumb, index or middle finger, etc) most of my life, but recently, my left middle finger would twitch for a month. Hi, I'm 4 months postpartum and I'm not sure if maybe thats why this developed. I definitely have trigger finger, my Dr is very busy so I'm self treating. My joint at the bottom of my index finger clicks (this is after several nights of waking up with my finger bent). Luckily it's not painful. I've been wearing a splint at night that keeps my finger straight so it can't keep bending and making my finger worse.

Why does my daughter get a twitching and burning sensation of the left hand.

Well I started biting down on my jaw (left side only) and now the muscles on jaw and in my neck on my left side twitch. Of course I have the jaw pain and ear pain associated with the biting down on my jaw. But I have never had muscle twitches in my neck. Anyone have any answers?

The twitching does not happen when my hands are busy, but when my hands are just resting, my thumb and index finger jump back and forth. I thought it was maybe a sign of low vitamin levels. I began taking daily multi vitamins but the twitches have remained. I'm eating healthy and getting plenty of sleep, but the twitches are just as strong as ever. I have not thought a lot about these issues up until the last two weeks.
