Hydrocodone with adderall

Common Questions and Answers about Hydrocodone with adderall

vicodin

a couple of months ago she admitted to me she had a problem, she told me she was taking 10 to 12 10mg hydrocodone pills a day, along with adderall and somas.....she said she was addicted and still enjoyed the high, even though she knew she had a problem.....supposedly i am the only one she has admitting to having a problem. my question now is when i told her she has to get help, she now tells me that she has be weening off the hydrocodone...
Be careful with the adderall - I know this is hard but that stuff can be quite addicting as well - I'd hate to see you have to go through this all over again (the withdrawals I mean) But congrats for giving up the opiates - they are the WORST. Good luck to you.
I suffered from hydrocodone addiction for around three years when I was sent to jail and suffered through the horrible withdrawal. I have been back home for 8 months and again have started taking the pills for about a month off and on and the past week every day. Already I am having the withdraw symptoms. I didn't know it could happen this fast. When I was clean I told myself I would never take another loracet (hydrocodone) again. Now look at me.
DO NOT stop those suddenly and for goodness sake don't take them and the opiates (hydrocodone) with the adderall.quote frankly taking them together will kill you. I highly suggest you see a doctor to get off the benzoids. You must taper off them or you will have seizures. Maybe someone else can give you a taper plan for them. I'm not qualified really to give you a schedule.
As far as I am aware there are no contraindications for methadone and adderal...... but the jittery and non-focused part may well be getting used to the amphetamine dose...could take a couple days to become acclimated......And then again you are basically taking a downer (methadone) with speed (adderal) - - so there could be adjustments to doses made...... I would suggest that you post this question on the Addiction Expert Forum and get an MD's opinion........
I was diagnosed with MS about 6 months ago. I was prescribed Adderall by my nerologist to help me with my fatigue. Before I started taking the med I couldn't function after being awake for 8 hours and I was missing 2 to 3 days of work a week. Since I started taking it my productivity at work has increased, and I haven't missed any days. I also can have a social life now because I don't want to just go home and go to bed after work.
Is it safe to take the hydrocodone with adderall?
My mind is doing everything in its power to break me, what an *** hole! I'm not going to give that ********* the satisfaction of getting its way with me!
Hello Anni I am on day 4 of no vicodin and am doing better then I ever thought.I seen your post and read where you have adderall and I wanted to share with you my experience this week. I restarted my adderall for adhd last Saturday and then started my withdraw from vicodin on Tuesday morning. I kept having these weird freakout attacks and felt like I was going to have a seizure. It took all my appetite away and speed my heart and then I became dehydrated.
My dad quit smoking cigs about 15 years ago, and if he can stay clean from that, I can definitely do it for this! For some reason I find that adderall really helps to with the energy. The reason this surprises me is because a lot of people have advised against using it saying it only makes the w/d worse. You guys are wonderful it's nice to know that I'm not the only ones going through this!
I have ankylosing spondylitis, which causes a lot of pain in my back, neck and ribs. I think I can manage the pain with ibuprofen alone, and I want to quit the hydrocodone. I'm so glad I found this great website. It's a good feeling knowing there are other people with the same problem. Here's my question - I'm hoping I can taper down the hydrocodone and avoid a lot of the withdrawal symptoms. For a while I was taking 10 Vicoprofen pills at a time.
He hasn't ever suggested any type of NA or AA and now he has presribed him Adderall (with a a diagnosis of Adult Adhd)!! WHY ON EARTH WOULD would you ever prescribe a highly addictive stimulant to someone who is addicted to stimulants?? Now perhaps the ADHD diagnosis is correct (hints the addictive personality, etc.) but EVERYTHING i have read on Adderall says "you should not take Adderall if you have a history of drug and/or alcohol abuse".
I wish you the best with this! I don't have any personal experience with Adderall but there are plenty here who do.... Could you start your own thread which would be more current? I think you'll get more responses. In the mean time, have you thought about a support group, meetings, anything to help you?
I'm sure you've tried ice packs and ibuprofen for your migraines. Does it help? I'm concerned that you like the way you feel with the hydrocodone. It doesn't sound like you're really willing to let them go ... I hope you are. Addiction is a progressive disease. It will only get worse. Read through some of the posts here. Maybe it will help you decide to stop what you're doing. Medicating with someone else's prescription is never a good idea.
i recently changed drs due to moving and when i went to appt they drug tested my urine. she said positive for hydrocodone and asked if i took any loratab loracet, norco.....i have def not. I was positive for oxycodone, xanax, adderall....Those are my rx's . now I do have a rx for viibryd, an antidepressant, and for mobic for arthritis, and a high cholesterol drug......now im outta meds, and dr wont see me until results come back from lab.....what the hell????
that treats me for tension headaches with Xanax and ADHD with Adderall so they somewhat disguise the withdraw but I am hurting like ****! I am allergic to NSAIDS, Ultram, Darvocet and Codeine so I am so limited on what I can take. What can I take to take some of the pain away? I work full time and am a wife and a mother 2 2 girls, one of which is under one. I can't stop what I do and just lie down. I have to keep going but I don't know how when I can barely stand up right!
No one knows what to think not even me.But this chick i was hanging out with told him i was taking adderall. He dont understand addiction enough to know i take it daily. I need to tell him so he can help me cause the mood swings, rage i feel inside is scary. So maybe u should tell him is he a good man? Do u think he would understand? There is alot of programs out there they could help him understand . If u dont want to do that u could cut a pill in half for 3 days or so then cut in half again.
but im taking steps to come off of them. I like hearing about people experiences with benzos...like for how long you took them and how much you took, and how you came off of them and how you feel afterwards. Anyone?
Before he started taking it, he was addicted to hydrocodone. The family doctor we both see was very free with handing out the painkillers in the past. My doctor was prescribing me 180 pills of Tramadol a month. The nurse that prescribed them told us they were not much stronger than Tylenol, and she didn't warn us of their highly addictive nature. I don't take them anymore, but I know my father does, and I am so worried about his health.
I don't anticipate taking the Adderall for much longer. I have sleep apnea which I just began treating with a C-PAP device and now that I am actually sleeping, the narcolepsy should be going away. I agree. If I can't seem to get past the one pill a day thing, I'm just going to go CT. Thanks so much. What a great community of support! I wasn't expecting so many replies so quickly. Grateful for you all and wish you the best as well!
My doctor and I have a long relationship through which I was taking Adderall for ADHD. I have never felt any desire to abuse Adderall and always have filled my prescriptions late so my doctor thinks of me as “low risk for abuse”. I am also disinclined to abuse benzodiazepines and sleep aids. This means it is easy to ask my doctor for Xanax and sleep medications and such. However, I consider myself susceptible to psychological dependence to these drugs, as I am a chronic insomniac.
I am currently taking nothing. I was taking Adderal and Hydrocodone on a daily basis under the care of a Adult ADHD specialist for almost 2 years. I truly feel I was done wrong. After many attempts to get in with my doctor and was told he was "out due to a family emergency" I found another doctor and I told him the situation and would he fill my scripts, he said yes.
When I ran out I frieked out!!!Honestly, however I got a hold of some adderall and took that to help with the withdrawl but I do not want a new addiction. I have been in the program (N.A. and A.A. ) Treatment twice but the addiction is so hard to fight but I think I have reached a bottom and I want to stop wasting my life chasing a high. I am ready to quit and want help.
Subs are usually used for someone using much stronger opiates in very large quantities for a long period of time. Hopefully someone with more experience with subs can come along and give better advice.
I am prescribed Methadone 5mg, Adderall 20mg, Xanax 1.0mg, and Hydrocodone 10mgs. I need to know if I should take all these mediations at once or put timing/space in between taking all these. I have severe back pain from 3 bulged discs, a sciatica nerve on right side and also a shifted pelvic bone also on right side which is causing the sciatic nerve.
Im sorry you feel so bad and sad. Addiction sucks, no matter to what. I have also worked with adderall a little so completely understand the draw however, it is REALLY not good. I know that sounds stupid b/c none of it is but the effects of longterm adderall use can be scary. Not to mention, one wrong night, take too many and dead. Don't do it!! talk to your dr. if you can and possibly find an alternative. Do you truly have ADHD and it effects your work/school/relationships?
I am a 33 yo female. I have been having some problems with my health lately. I am exhausted all the time. Just diagnosed with idiopatic hypersomnia. My blood pressure keeps dropping down to 70-80/40's. Mostly orthostatic but not always. I have tachycardia (usually around 110bpm), muscle pain, I am losing tons of hair, abdominal pain, and nausea. I have noticed that my tears and sweat are not salty anymore I take adderall for fatigue (just increased to 80 mg per day).
Part of getting clean is also changing our behavior with meds. You said your sister gave you an adderall and said it was good for energy. Those pills are used for kids with ADHD. I would imagine you wont sleep real well tonight due to taking that pill but like you said a lesson learned.......
I travelled alot from Houston to Sweden and take 9 meds, three that are scheduled, restoril, klonopin and adderall/conerta and at one time hydrocodone. I never had a problem but was always sure that my meds were in a bottle with pharmacy label on them (with my name of course) My stimulants/amphetamine is the same class as the methadone so I would say, based on my experience, you will be fine. You could always call the airline and ask if there is a special procedure to travel with narcotics.
