Be careful with the adderall - I know this is hard but that stuff can be quite addicting as well - I'd hate to see you have to go through this all over again (the withdrawals I mean) But congrats for giving up the opiates - they are the WORST. Good luck to you.

I just couldn't take it anymore so I told my parents about a week ago that I had been taking pills for 2 years. it was one of the hardest things ive had to do honestly. I was taking 7 tramadols a day and 20-40mg hydrocodone. id take Adderall when I couldn't find those but it wasn't often. I haven't taken tramadol in 2 days so im super happy about that, but I did take a hydrocodone at two separate times that first night, I took 2 adderalls IR today.

I CURRENTLY TAKE HYDROCODONE FOR BACK PAIN AND KLONOPIN OCCASIONLY FOR ANXIETY IS IT SAFE TO BE TAKEN ALL THESE MEDS AT THE SAME TIME AND IS THIS NEW MED FOR ADHD SAFE.I AM TAKEN 10 MGS TWICE DAILY OF THE ADHD MED AND 1 AND 1/2 OF THE HYDROCODONE DAILY AND MAYBE A QUARTER OF A KLOPIN EVERY OTHER DAY.

Before he started taking it, he was addicted to hydrocodone. The family doctor we both see was very free with handing out the painkillers in the past. My doctor was prescribing me 180 pills of Tramadol a month. The nurse that prescribed them told us they were not much stronger than Tylenol, and she didn't warn us of their highly addictive nature. I don't take them anymore, but I know my father does, and I am so worried about his health.

Yesterday was my 1st day w no adderall. Today I gave in and took only 5mgs. I also ran out of hydrocodone yesterday and today I feel like a mess. I have been taking Lorazepam to sleep. My goal right now is to get through the night without getting more pain pills. I would love some suggestions on things to do to take my mind off this or make it easier. I am finding myself trying to make phone calls to find some and I feel like a basket case.

Part of getting clean is also changing our behavior with meds. You said your sister gave you an adderall and said it was good for energy. Those pills are used for kids with ADHD. I would imagine you wont sleep real well tonight due to taking that pill but like you said a lesson learned.......

As far as I am aware there are no contraindications for methadone and adderal...... but the jittery and non-focused part may well be getting used to the amphetamine dose...could take a couple days to become acclimated......And then again you are basically taking a downer (methadone) with speed (adderal) - - so there could be adjustments to doses made...... I would suggest that you post this question on the Addiction Expert Forum and get an MD's opinion........

This is not uncommon, I have this problem as well. The question is can you live with the extra anxiety if the adderall is really helping you? The problem with taking an upper (adderall) and a downer (ativan) together is that they will counter act against each other and neither one will be as effective in your system. You said that you were just diagnosed? Is this your first add medication? You may want to consider trying a different one if the adderall continues to give you problems.

I was taking hydrocodone for 6 years and wanted to stop but couldn't afford the down time so found a doctor to prescribe subs of which i wasted ANOTHER 6 years on. I am still feeling some w/d and today is 17 days. Going through this w/d sucked and was horrible (for me) but i don't ever want to get where i can't walk, talk, move, speak or think without having to put something in me again! I feel, in my head, like i've forgotten how to do all of these things....

1mg a day, 2 pozac,2 zoft, 4 adderall . I also adha that was what the adderall was for. I had a bad night last night.

ve been reading a whole lot over the weekend and hope to attmept to address my ADD more with diet and less with the drug but I will say adderall has opened my eyes to the possibilities for me.

If she perhaps is taking something else, something that would also lower this threshhold, plan to stay with her is all I can say. I take Adderall and my dr. thought it best (for him) if I went on Ultram. Can't mix the 2! You know what happens? Seizing at its finest!

Go to sleep with migraine and wake up with one. Since I tried adderall, I can hardly remember those heavy duty migraines! It works great for my hypertensives. Adderall should relax people with ADD. It relaxes me. She's basically using (abusing?) speed and dumped her boyfriend for no reason, possibly because her endorphines were flowing like crazy and she thought she didn't need him. She might have a tough time getting off it and crash hard. Plus when she gets offensve about her meds, that's a possible indication of drug abuse. Does her doctor know she also drinks every day? This is not a good recipe.

This is my day 4 with no hydrocodone. I am still trying to kick adderall and Lorazepam, because I cannot sleep. For you who have been past all of this? How do you stay sober and drop the pills for good??!!

How long will it take to feel better. The hydrocodone is probably out of my system since that has been a week. Last Adderall was yesterday, 90mg along with 800 mg Didrex. Today 800mg Didrex and then nothing. I just wonder if and how long it will be until I can feel alive again. I have been burying so much pain and fear all of my life that I don't know if I can even live sober. I just know I can't live this lifestyle anymore. Thanks for any input.

I know this is NOT the way to deal with these problems, just a quick fix that Im going to have to deal with at some point. I just had a doc appointment today to increase my pristiq (my antidepressant) and was hoping to get on something else to help with my severe adhd. My friend takes adderall and I have taken that before which I found worked awesome for me at helping me focus and what not. However, I am having a hard time getting the doctors to understand my issues. You must taper off them or you will have seizures. Maybe someone else can give you a taper plan for them. I'm not qualified really to give you a schedule. My main concern when I saw what you were taking together is to advise you that those drugs together are very very dangerous. The pot I'm not concerned about so much.

For sure you dont want to cold turkey of the suboxone, its best to taper down especially when your still at 16mgs/day. With the adderall, I only have some brief experiences with it, but I never had a problem when I quit. But I know of many people who have had problems, its an amphetamine, so its very addictive. Hopefully some more people come by with more experience with adderall, Im not sure what the safest way to detox off.
