Common Questions and Answers about How to stop acne on your back

acne

Avatar m tn I've been to about two different dermatologist because of my acne, for some reason they become VERY swollen and red. I had to change my doctor, because the first treatment I had a bad reaction to the pills he prescribed. My second dermatologist just prescribed me clindoxyl gel. I've been using it for about more than a year now. I should have stopped by after 3 months into the treatment, however I couldn't, and now I feel silly going into his office after all this time lost.
Avatar m tn These scars are somewhat circular, not very deep but visible, and about one tenth of an inch or slightly smaller. I have no idea how to stop them from appearing or to how to treat them. Any help is appreciated!
Avatar n tn Hi, a couple of months ago, as the title of this post sugests ive started to get some acne mainly on my upper back and now also on my shoulders too. Cant believe it how it looks now and how it used to look (i was clear, and even used to make fun of my sister's acne on her back!). Damn puberty... =p What's the best product (cream or natural) that would get rid of these marks and acne effectively?
6868372 tn?1385568674 Back acne means you have acne (zits, bumps, etc.) on your back. Backache means your back hurts.
Avatar m tn s opinion on the effectiveness of Accutane on smaller acne heads. My acne is on my face, neck, back, and chest. There are not very many big acne heads (I have benzoyl peroxide5%, Differin 3%, and Minocyclin 100 mg twice a day). These medications play a big part in my not having many big zits. Anyways, I have lots of little acne heads all over. How effective is Accutane at getting rid of these heads and keeping them off? (from your experience or from official sources) Thanks!
549876 tn?1219952270 So this stands how it did with my previous pregnancies...I am having a girl, and now and with my daughter I have it, with my son I was glowing with beautiful skin! But I've been making sure I clean my face 3 times a day, morning noonish and before bed. I then use clearasil vanishing acne cream. It works good! I have noticed, that the oil from my face gets on my pillow case and if I don't wash it twice a week, I break out more.
Avatar n tn Hi, welcome to the forum, the tiny spots on the skin other than acne, suggests atopic dermatitis which is seen due to allergic background and Contact dermatitis due to direct skin exposure to a substance which can be a allergen or irritant. Anti-histamines with appropriate steroids against prescription will help to alleviate the condition. Identify and avoid the triggering factor which you been exposed to recently. I suggest you to consult a dermatologist for further management.
Avatar f tn *I meant stop laying on your back at 16 weeks, not your right. Sorry my keyboard...
Avatar n tn Hi all, I'm a 19 year old male. Relatively healthy. When I got up this morning I noticed that there was some kind of bump on my back in the left shoulder area. It doesn't itch and is not painful, it looks a little raised but flat surface. It's just there and doesn't look like any pimple that I have had. I usually don't get any kind of bumps or acne on my back so it has me worried. Here are two pictures. Sorry about the quality. Hopefully someone can help!
Avatar n tn There is NO std that would cause a big red bump on your shoulder, back or whatever, nor is there one that would change the shape and color of your lips, or cause acne. I wonder if you have a mild staph infection that is causing all the acne. Do you shave your face with a razor that you might have shaved your genital area with? You should get the acne thing checked out. Ask the doctor about your lips, too.
Avatar f tn isotretinoin also known as Accutane, can be prescribed by a doctor, or contraceptive pills with cyproterone for females with virilization or drospirenone. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acne_vulgaris#Treatments Let us know about how you are doing and what your doctor advises. Post us if you need any further information. Regards.
Avatar n tn hormone related acne is very hard to clear, the best I can recommend is to use retinaldehyde, consistently, spot treat w/ something antibacterial during breakout, Tea tree oil, something antinflammatory,
Avatar f tn Ok so first I'm really thankful that I never get acne on my face during pregnancy. But I always seem to get it on my back. I'm 16 weeks tomorrow and I'm already starting to get them again. I have about 5 small bumps. Anybody know what I can use to keep them under control? Because last time I picked them all the time and they started to hurt. And get really ugly.
Avatar f tn I've had a bad outbreak of acne on my back, and it is unusual because I don't have acne anywhere else. it has appeared a little over two months ago, and I don't know how to treat it. please help!
Avatar n tn Hi, Acne develops as a result of blockages in follicles. Hyperkeratinization and formation of a plug of keratin and sebum (a microcomedo) is the earliest change. The microcomedo may enlarge to form an open comedo (blackhead) or closed comedo (whitehead). In these conditions the naturally occurring largely commensual bacteria Propionibacterium acnes can cause inflammation.
Avatar n tn Hello, These can be due to acne or folliculitis skin. Back and shoulder acne are quite difficult to treat compared to acne on other parts of the body. Thoroughly wash your body everyday, especially the back and shoulder part using a back brush and frequently change your bed sheet, as it is conducive for bacterial growth. Engage in a diet that is low in sugar and fat but is rich in vitamins. This prevents acne by preventing the buildup of excess oil on the skin.
Avatar m tn they started as one or two on my shoulder area but has grown to more numbers and started to appear on my lower back now and my shoulders no longer have them. I dont know where they are coming from and what to do I have never had skin problems ( except for a rash under my armpits from deodarant ) nor have i ever been alregic to anything so y this is happening is a mystery to me.
Avatar m tn First of all, I am a 60 year old man. For about a year now I have this nasty condition on my head from the top down the back and on the sides. It acts just like acne. I've always had acne and still do but never this condition. As I said, this particular condition just started about a year ago. I went to the doctor and he gave me antibiotics and that solved the problem. Unfortunately, one can't take antibiotics indefinately. This condition is painful and embarresing.
Avatar n tn I would like to help you, but I am not comfortable giving advice to someone of your age without your parent's permission...sorry, try the other forums, they may be able to help...but you did get some good advice already....and that is, that masturbation is a normal activity, and how you get control of excess is by making a decision to limit yourself.
Avatar f tn So about a week ago I noticed that I had bumps on my chest that I just kind of dusted off as sweat bumps (they kind of look like goosebumps). Then one time I went to scratch my back & I noticed that I had bigger bumps on my back along with goosebumps looking bumps, they're a little itchy sometimes. I noticed the bigger bumps on my back about 2 days ago. My mom said I shouldn't worry about it.
Avatar f tn well i didnt consider id have a bad reaction to them so when i broke out with acne and then a rash around my mouth i thought it was due just to dry skin. i was wrong. i guess i had an allergic reaction i started them on a wednesday and thursday is when i broke out. my face is the only place that has gotten bad ive been using tea tree oil and its been healing all the acne and even some scarring but the rash is there. its like a lightish red patch. its just dry.
