1250698 tn?1371351279 This is my first month on Lutera and I've been taking it faithfully. I started taking it the last day of my last period on a Sunday. I guess Sunday is like the holy grail of days to start the pill. lol I was off of birth control since March prior to starting this and I have had a normal period that whole time. I usually get it between Day28 and Day30. I started getting sharp pain in my right ovary (Day24) which lasted for 3 days.
Avatar f tn Hi well I just started lutera birth control and this is currently my 5th day on lutera. On my 5th day I had unprotected sex but he didn't come inside me I was wondering if I could get pregnant? Should I worry?
Avatar n tn i am just starting to take a low dose of topamax at 50mg a day and not going to increase to more than 100mg a day and i am wondering if this will interfere with my lutera pills?? i have read that it lowers the effectiveness but i have also read that it doesnt happen until you reach doses of 200mg or more. i have also heard that by increasing your birth control dose you can help the effectiveness and my doctor specifically prescribed lutera because it has a higher dosage than most BC.
Avatar f tn Okay! My brain glands don't make much ACTH, as in, 0 to way below the entire normal range at all time of the day. After having fired my Mayo endo doc and still being held hostage by his decisions and not being able to get a CRH Stim test to determine WHICH gland (Pituitary or Hypothalamus) isn't working, my PCP and I have decided to go the with the "shotgun approach" to treat my lack of ACTH production, since the treatments are the same no matter what. YEAH!
Avatar f tn Like with any other birth control pill, Lutera Birth Control, can also cause clots in any part of the body. If this happens in lungs, then this can cause progressive breathlessness and can be dangerous. You must get a CT scan of chest immediately. Other than that, the pill also causes bloating of abdomen. This can also cause breathlessness. I suggest you first go to ER to rule out clots in lungs. Do not want to scare you.
Avatar m tn ve been off the t3 since wednesday and i have cut my patches in half (dr approved). I feel much better. It was just too much for me. Maybe I can work my way up to one patch. It will be interesting to see if I gain weight now that I'm off t3. That would be wonderful! I may move back to oregon. It depends on work factors. Thank you for being a life line. I wish I could do something to return the favor.
Avatar f tn Thanks for the info, for I went on his website and mostly everything on there has to do with breast & ovarian cancer in regards to the BRCA gene. I could not find anything in regards to oral contraceptive use over a long period of time and links to breast cancer. I do agree that there are good and bad.
Avatar n tn I take lutera but I don't take it at the same time everyday. I take it when I wake up. last week my boyfriend came in me and a couple days later I started feeling nauseous and cramps and can barely eat anything. my period is irregular so I can't wait for that cause idk when it'll come. what are the chances I could be pregnant? when can I take a pregnancy test?
Avatar f tn So I then switched to Lutera, about 2 months ago. I was suppose to get my period on Jan. 6. Instead I began what I thought was my period on Jan. 4.which really turned out to be 4 days of dark brown spotting with a few drops of blood. I was experiencing cramping and hot flashes two weeks prior to this till today. I I decided to get off my birth control pills and I have not spotted at all since jan 8. I have also been feeling very nauseated and laying down almost every afternoon for a week.
Avatar n tn It is hard to attain adequate Vitamin D just from sunshine and I don't know how much D you are getting in the cod liver oil, but you do need to consider supplementing with about 2000 IU daily of D3. Another potential issue is your ferritin level. Unless you are taking supplements to raise your iron level. your ferritin of 244, right at the top of the range, indicates that you need to do a full iron test panel of serum iron, TIBC, % saturation and ferritin from the same blood draw.
Avatar m tn I'm on my second month of lutera bc pill and I have started having slight cramps and sore breasts for the last couple of days. I had sex on Feb 9 during my first month of pills, I'm just not sure if this is a side effect of the bc pill because I don't believe that I am pregnant.
Avatar m tn I was trying to learn more about if there was dangerous effects of eating to much dairy. Mainly butter and how much hormones like estrogen were in say a pound of butter. I only ask because I did something stupid last week and I ate a pound of butter in one sitting after seeing others do it on youtube.
Avatar n tn I have heard that men wanting to either reassign their gender or simply to dress as women can take estrogen and that it minimizes the male genitals after a while, but have never heard how much. The only man I ever talked to who was into dressing female, looked great (in other words, you would not be able to tell he was anything but a very striking woman) even in a swimsuit, and although he was doubtless taking hormones, he had not had an operation.
Avatar f tn I also produce too much estrogen. My body regulated on its own. How were you diagnosed and what symptoms are you having?
429647 tn?1249753429 my ttumor was tested and it was estrogen positive i am on an estrogen blocker.. how about asking your doc if the tumor was estrogen positive or not.
Avatar f tn My doctor put me on birth control after my 6 week check up. Its called Lutera, its generic for Aviane Tab. Its a low dose. She said my first pavk would give me a period but didnt say when & everyone I know has said that im not suppose to have one until the last week of the pack. At first I was spotting red blood but then I was bleeding brownish, like old blood. Online says spotting is normal but now its like a period type. Should I call my doctor monday or is this normal?
Avatar f tn I was on Amoxycillin for a couple weeks because I had Bronchitis and then right before I was supposed to get my period last week I started having yeast infection symptoms. I've only ever had one before but I went to the doctor that time and it was a different kind of infection so I'm not sure what to expect. My sister said the Monistat 1 usually works for her so I tried that and close but no cigar, I wasn't sure if my symptoms were gone because I started my period.

Avatar n tn I have been taking lutera for three almost four months now, and and have been experiencing constant breakthrough bleeding. My doctor said this is normal however the last week in march i had a problem getting my birthcontrol for four days and finally when i got it that friday after bleeding terribly for the four days i took my usual dose.
Avatar f tn Taking St. John’s Wort pills or extract reduces the concentration of both hormones (estrogen and progestin) in the pill by about 15%. For women taking the pill—especially a low-dose pill (20-35 micrograms of estrogen)—this changes the dose enough to make breakthrough bleeding more likely, but we don’t know exactly how this affects the risk of pregnancy. If you take St.
587083 tn?1327120262 Soy and estrogen: I've read much conflicting information about this, but what I believe we can say for sure is that soy products (soy milk, tofu, edamame) supply a weak form of estrogen from plant sources, called phytoestrogens. With menopause your body stops making estrogen. Eating soy products seems to boost the estrogen a bit, but is that good? I was a regular consumer of soy milk, tofu, edamame and flax seed after menopause.
Avatar m tn I take lutera birth control. After my period, I took the first pill of the cycle at about 3 pm on Sunday. The 5 following days, I took it at 7 am, my regular time. On Friday (6 days after late pill) my guy accidentally came inside of me. Am I protected? Should I take plan B? Also-- according to the internet it is my ovulation period. Please help thank you.
