Whilst the Diarrhoea lasted, I had two forms of pain cramps and pain in the mid to upper right side (under my ribs). The pain was dull with periods of sharp pains that lasted between 5 and 20 minutes. I was also being woken several times at night with a pain just below my sternum and on the right side that prevented me from breathing properly. The only way to slightly relieve it was to pass urine but I would wake a few hours later with the same pain.
what i mean is that the same place it hurts in my right upper side chest it hurts on my right side upper back its like the pain is in same place back and front " i have been getting this pain on and off for abt 4 weeks and recently for 2 days i have a sore throat , burning pain in throat and ears and goes down to stomach but no stomach pain ,swallowing is painfull , what can this be and is this something to go to the doctor abt or do i needto go to the emergency room for this .
It hurt to move my neck from side to side, and I had pain in the tips of my elbows and in my chest. I moved into a new apartment almost a month ago, so I think that I might have possibly strained something, but it seems that it wouldn't cause this much of a delayed or chronic issue a month after moving. The doctor diagnosed it as a muscle spasm. It finally calmed down after a few days, and the pain completely subsided within a week. Now, two weeks later, the upper back pain has returned.

Over the last couple days when pains get stronger usually in the evening It feels as those something is contracting or like a strong pulsing in right side back right under the ribs, I can feel this in front of ribs as well but mostly right side and back. I have had upper endoscopy last month and everything was normal. I had a CT about 3 years ago also normal. I had chest X-ray, normal. I had a HIDA scan 3 years ago which was normal as well. I did have hyplori about a year ago but is now gone.
The heart burn and acid reflux was back, the stomache pain was almost unbearable. After the Hida scan I had pain in left and right side under my rib cage. Miserable heart burn that nothing helped and extrem nausea to the point that I couldn't eat.
I will go see this specialist. But to be honest, I have had enough. If he doesn't give me a resonable answer, I will stick to my diet and enough will be enough! I am tired of docs. and Hosp. tests ect...
Im 32w and having intense pain in between my ribs.. like right in my solar plex area. I cant sleep on my back or it gets worse and because of this awesome heartburn I have to sit up. Im seriously having a breakdown from this. I havent slept in a week.. im so exhausted. I think its safe to say im only having 1 kid :/ anyone experience anything like this??
The only think I notice with the back pain is 1)that it is a searing pain in upper back, that radiates from center out, 2) That I break a little sweat (probably anxiety as I dread the pain) 3) Often I have to go have a bm 4) My upper stomach feels pressue, like theres something pressing it out ( off center to the left, between breast and belly button area)
5) when I breathe I can feel the pressure even stronger.

I feel it in my lower back, right groin area, upper right abnomin, right flank, and in my side. I also have some aching pain in my right buttock, hip, and upper thigh area. If it where not for the abdominal pain, I would be almost certain that this was coming from my lower back. It seems to bother me more when sitting. I told him I did not think reflux becusae at this point the acid pain had stopped again and I was expieriencing pain other than that of burning and it was in my back and under my rib cage right side. Well the burning came back 5 months later and I decided to go to another Gastro and she told me to take the Zegerid for 30 dys and along with Fibercon once a day becuase it sounded like reflux.
I have just had surgery for three Kidney Stones and apparently Lithotripsy has left me with the condition of Costachondritis. My upper right side is very tender and swollen. I look like I'm three months pregnant! I have lots of burps and heartburn, some shortness of breath and constant pian. Sometimes the pain is so bad it cuts my breath off. My doctors have told me that due to having 28 stones now and 10 Lithotripsy procedures, the stomach is aggrivated. Could this be Gallbladder?
If it's a contraction, it hasn't stopped in at least 30 minutes, but I'm having a very sharp pain in my upper abdomen that won't stop. It's not gas and the baby isn't in my ribs, but the pain is right under my ribs. Any thoughts?
Keep me posted as to your check-ups. I have been having pain in the right side below the right rib cage for a while now, sometimes a burning sensation. I have had an abdominal scan and an ulltrasound ab done; also a pelvic ultrasound. Everything comes out normal. The liver has small cysts, but they told me not to worry. I am going for an endoscopy on Feb 6th. It is very frustrating. If someone shares similar symptoms, could you please let me know what, if anything, you have found out?
When I am sitting it feels like something is squeezing my rib cage very tightly. The pain sometimes radiates to my back and up to my shoulder blade. When I lay on my back I sometimes feel a squeezing, contracting,sensation. The pain is almost always present it just varies in severity.
After first experiencing the pain for several days, i woke in the night with extreme burning pain. My stomach felt tight and full. No position could ease the pain.
m feeling OK. I still have heartburn, chest and back pain and some vague upper right quadrant pain but not nearly to the extent it was before. I also haven't had any intense acute pain since surgery (had that a few times before).

Hi Jeanie, the radiation you refer to, ductal carcinoma in situ -DCIS, can you please let me know the site and if left or right breast? Although Annie's was ductal invasive, node neg, the site of surgery for br sparing surgery was on the outer rim of rh breast right next to the sternum. However tattoo marks extend over the sternum to the opposite left healthy breast. During the course of radiation Annie told Oncology that 'you are making the heartburn worse, you are burning too deep!
