fluoxetine with nyquil

Doctor diagnosed me with Obsessive compulsion disorder and depression. Along with this I had thyroid disorder also and taking 100 mcg thyronom daily. My depression is since I was 20 years old , it can be say 20 year old depression . I have been on medicine for some time on and off. Now I started to took medicine continuously. Doctor has given me fluoxetine 80 Mg per day morning (4-X-X),Clomipramine 50mg (X-X-2) Respiredone 1 mg at night .

I really dislike getting sick on the weekend because I can't call the DR. Can I safely take nyquil? There is liver warning on back but that's also on tylenol. Hoping to get some help with sleeping and fight this cold. Liver stage 1-2 and not yet on triple treatment. I haven't taken any meds at all today, if that matters. Thanks everyone!

My brother went to a psychiatrist and he prescribed him fluoxetine and xanax. He said that my brother should take one 20mg tablet of fluoxetine for the morning and 0.5 tablet for xanax for morning and night for 14 days . He said to take the 0.5 mg xanax tablet half in morning and the other half at night So, my brother took the fluoxetine and xanax for 14 days and then again went to the psychiatrist. My brother has not felt any improvement for his ocd or depression from the tablets.

Have you tried I think it was mucinex?

Is there a possibility that lamictal may help? Anyone with experience on this? Should I up the fluoxetine, up the bupropion, switch bupropion for lamictal , add lamictal, up bupropion? Thoughts?

I've had depression for some time and was prescribed fluoxetine a few months ago. In the second and third week of taking it I experienced what I can only describe as mild euphoria and a sort of agitation- not being able to sleep, restlessness and the shakes- which was not unpleasant because of the euphoric feeling that accompanied it.

Is anyone on this? I have been on it for a week and i did drink some achohol with it and i know i shouldnt have. Now what? Im not feeling very good and i have not had a drink in three days. I dont sleep well how long will this take to kick in?

m posting this here as well as in the anxiety forums, in the hope that someone may answer. I am taking Fluoxetine 20mg for anxiety and depression, and have been taking it for just over a week. How long before I begin to see any benefits? Also, two more questions - they may seem trivial, but they are bothering me - is it safe to break open the Fluoxetine capsules, as I can not swallow them? I'm not a doctor but this is my take on it. Inositol is a vitamin and the way it helps is thought to be by affecting certain neurotransmitters in the brain. Your fluoxetine is an SSRI so it is affecting Serotonin. The last thing I would want to see is you going through serotonin syndrome, i.e., too much serotonin. So before you start this I think you should just check it out with your doctor first. It could be that an increase in your fluoxetine may help with the skin picking.

In my research I also see that taking it with anything that inhibits liver enzyme CYP2D6 (which both Fluoxetine and Duloxetine do) can cause the levels of the medication to build up in the body essentially behaving like you have taken more than you have. My question is, would it be safe to add a very tiny dose, say, 3 mg as a sleep aid to my medications. If it builds up enough to mimic say 6 mg or 10 mg that wouldn't be too bad.

Ive been to the doctors and they put me on Fluoxetine tablets. One a day until they tell me to stop. However I've had two so far but want to stop. I know you have to slowly come off of them but if I've only had two can I just stop? Please help!

I'"ve taken both seperately without any problems I had an ECG when I was taking 100mg amytriptyline and no probelms excerpt hypertension with the amytriptyline (I take 10mg of atenolol daily and have done for some time) On Fluoxetine my BP is 120/80 - just wondered if I can combine safely the drugs smller dosage for my dysthmia.

Hi Shanna. Thank you for your reply - that is reassuring. I had read about the side effects of increased anxiety, but it helps so much to know that I am not the only one. Initially, the panic of the increased anxiety sets everything off gain, and after the first week I really thought that things were just getting worse - however, I will certainly continue to give it a try and hope that in another week or so the anxiety will lessen.
