Avatar m tn Then, I moved my head back and forth about once per second for 15 seconds, then up and down for 15 seconds at the same cadence, and finally back and forth for 15 more seconds all the time while focusing on the letter on the wall trying to keep the letter stationary. I did this for about 3 days. After 3 days, I performed this action twice per day, the second time the pace was quickened and the head didn't move as far. Similar to if you shook your head to indicate "no".
Avatar m tn I have looke up side effects for all my meds and the only one that shows excessive sweating is Effexor. Do all antidepressants have sweating as a side effect? Any time I am up standing or walking, even in the winter, I sweat buckets. Even in air conditioned stores. My hair gets dripping wet. Any info you could give me would be so helpful. I do get exercise by riding my bike 5-6 miles daily. I can't walk due to pain in my back, legs, hips....also weakness. Thank you!
Avatar n tn I will try to cut wheat out of my diet. The scary thing is I have been buying wheat bread for the longest time. I will have to break that habbit. I have had oils that my Mother gave me two years for my Birthday. I think it's time to take the time to read that over. I have also started to see a chiropractor. I went yesterday and today I already feel some relief. I have an EDG test scheduled in January and I'm still waiting to hear back from my Doctor on the catscan of my abdomen.
242516 tn?1368227505 Some researchers disagree with this kind of process, saying that it's very difficult to control for confounding factors in the separate data sets, calling into question the validity of the results. I'm expecting the drug companies to be fighting these studies powerfully, and be curious to see how they try to disprove the results.
Avatar f tn I have problems w/ADHD, Anxiety that I take medication for (dexadrin and fluoxetine) and assumed that the symptoms were probably associated w/it. i also have problems w/severe menstrual cramps,, hair loss, and hair breakage. The list goes on. However, while searching for info on the profuse sweating, I found that I had symptoms of hyperthyroidism. My symptoms of ADHD have worsened and now I wonder if it isn't my thyroid. What do you think? And........what should I do?
Avatar n tn SueYoung55 is correct that tamoxifen is usually used in premenopausal women with hormone-receptor positve BC, who are then switched to an AI when they complete menopause. But you are also correct that it can also be used in post-menopausal women, esp. when they cannot tolerate an AI. Here is a summary of the current recommendations of the American Society of Clinical Oncologists: "To lengthen disease-free survival and lower risk for recurrence (i.e.
924711 tn?1290270157 Of course I am depressed due to all of that going on, all diagnosed since menopause a few years back. The hep C has been dormant for at least 20 yrs, has to have been that long since exposed. Got any suggestions for me? Besides a gunshot to the head? Nah, just joking!

Avatar n tn Tosca, Funny you should mention Prozac because I was on that medication years ago. After five wks. on it my sleep quality became poor & quit the medication "cold turkey". I can't remember if the jerks started right after that or not. Sometimes I wonder if it had anything to do w/this condition I now have. I have been told it does not because people who have never taken Prozac have hypnic jerks. I know anxiety certainly makes a person have isomnia.
Avatar n tn Thank you very much for replying...I am so grateful for your taking time. I am in the UK too J...I haven't seen the results from September's test...I've been feeling so low that it is difficult to even stand up for myself and the GP seems so disinterested...in fact when I said my hair was falling out he said it wasn't because I have no bald patches.
Avatar n tn Bezielle Phase 1B gets + Results for BC Mets Date: August 05, 2009, 14:12:15 (about 1 hour ago) FYI – Phase 1b mostly is done to determine dosing (including maximum tolerated dose), side effects, absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion of the drug. However, in oncology, it’s also possible to gain some response/efficacy data because unlike other drugs (where Phase 1 is done in healthy patients), these are done in patients with the disease. Avatar m tn It can help you finally enjoy your day to day life instead of suffering with anxiety which may be raising your BP. The SSRI is for long term use and may take 1 to 4 weeks to work its way into your system and prove effective. It is a very popular choice for treatment. Xanax will work within usually a half hour and last for about 6 hours but it is highly addictive and designed for short term use only.
Avatar n tn Just as aloe vera gel is used topically for burns, the type you drink cools down the body and removes toxins and also helps the digestive track and is great for colon activity. A good one to try is Lily of the Valley. Just follow the dosage directions and store in the refrigerator. The taste is tolerable and it is also good for your skin. I also use all natural progesterone cream several days out of the month for hormonal support when my progesterone levels dip.
Avatar n tn You should not use the cortisone for longer than 5 days because it may cause additional irritation and damage to the skin if used for longer periods. If you can not control the itch with the over-the-counter cortisone, you should see your doctor. Your doctor may prescribe a more potent topical cortisone drug or other agents to treat the cause of the pruritis.
Avatar n tn These little nerves are part of the relax controller for the pelvic floor, the peritoneal area, the lower bowl, the sphincter and bladder sensation. They fine tune the innervation of these areas also ruled by other nerves descending from further up the spinal cord. When they've been injured or destoyed the coordination of the whole network gets confounded and a lot more complicated. The harder you push, the tighter it gets instead of relaxing.
151263 tn?1243377877 It takes some looking around to find it but the presentation basically says that two types of psyh meds are often required for those undergoing Hep C treatment. One for the depression and one for energy, i.e the ritalin, adderall component mentioned. The presentation was by a doctor with many years of experience treating interferon-induced depression in cancer patients. As to the milk thistle, are the GI's mentioned prescribing milk thistle during treatment.
Avatar n tn Diabetics need insulin what is the difference. I am going to give the fluoxetine another week with the lorazapam if it does not work I am just going to stick with the lorazapam. Good Luck to you. Try to learn now how to control it so it does not get out of control like mine did.

Avatar n tn Every article on the internet has to do with Strep B in prenatal women (when it is very dangerous for the baby) and nothing about Strep B for regular women in their 40's like me :) Thanks, I'd love to hear from anyone who has ever been treated for this disease or any doctors out there.
Avatar f tn This is such an annoying, painful problem! Drs don't have answers for it either. I am betting on the pudenal nerve that affects the genital area. I have not found a cure of any kind yet and I've tried all these things listed. except the chapstick one!
Avatar n tn On the positive side, Effexor is an amazing antidepressant, I tried wellbutrin first and it didn't help compared to the Effexor. Everyone is different, Effexor is know for having the worst withdrawl so you need to make sure the DR. takes you off it slowly. Good Luck!
Avatar n tn My phantom odor smells like an ashtray. I keep thinking maybe someone is putting their cigarettes out nearby and I'm just not seeing it - but it's happening both at work and at home. Should I be worried?
