Flomax ejaculate

Common Questions and Answers about Flomax ejaculate

flomax

Avatar m tn maybe Flomax only helps if you have a UTI though to better flush infected urine out? it seems though that the semen will empty into the bladder then and be flushed out of your system instead of going to the urethra so I don't know if that is good or not? I've read of long term loss of STRENGTH on Flomax and possible sexual dysfunction.
Avatar m tn While taking Flomax or Proscar, does this have an effect on getting HARD.
Avatar m tn This will increase the volume of your ejaculate. YES, Flomax seriously reduces the amount of ejaculate (to almost zero, in my case). Skipping one day will cause much more come on the following day (check with DR. first).
Avatar f tn But, shortly after starting the Flomax, I discovered that I did not produce any ejaculate! Not that sex is a big thing with me (staying upright while standing takes precidence), but it is still an important part of life (if only rarely). Needless to say, I found this to be disconcerting, and discovered (through onling research) that a decrease in semen production was a common side effect of Flomax. But, I kept on using this combination hoping things would improve with the semen.
Avatar m tn My urine is always clean. I was given flomax but refuse to take it because of ejaculate going backwards and might faint. What can I do to solve this? I usually go to acupuncture but this pandemic is closing everything.
Avatar m tn When you have BPH, the flow from the bladder and prostate are greatly restricted and usually force the ejaculate into the bladder. Flomax helps reduce the size of the prostate and permits freer flowing urine. If you discontinue use of Flomax, your voiding would be more difficult and leave residuals in your bladder setting you up for some ugly uti's in the future and you would still have a retrograde ejaculation.
Avatar m tn I have been on this medicine (together with a double dose of Flomax) for the past two years. I have noticed a definite improvement in urinary symptoms (fewer trips to the bathroom, better flow), but it has wreaked havoc with my sex life (no erections, no ejaculation). I would like to quit, but am afraid that the effects of quitting might be worse than the ones I am currently experiencing. I am 69 years old.
Avatar m tn I have recently been taking flomax for kidney stones two days ago. Last night when duing sexual intimacy when I orgasimed there was no semen at all! It feels like I am just busting off a big one but there is absolutely nothing! The same thing happend tonight. Me and my girlfriend are getting kind of worried. Is this a normal side effect? And if it is how long does it normally last?... I mean its not something that can cause serious or permanent damage is it? PLEASE HELP ME!
Avatar m tn My urologist prescribed Ditropan, which I took for about a year, which helped at first. Flomax was added the following year, which again worked for awhile, but the symptoms returned after 6 months or so. The Flomax caused retrograde ejaculation, which bothered me because in the past, I had always shot a fairly substantial load when I ***.
Avatar m tn I did not associate it with flomax until recently. Is it harmful if I stop taking the flomax and is this the cause of my retro? This discussion is related to Retrograde Ejaculation from Flomax......permanent or not?.
1580703 tn?1651904887 I was given cipro and Flomax for pelvic pain and a UTI. the pain was through the whole pelvis and also individual veins or spermatic cord. does Flomax permanently shrink your prostate or reduce testosterone levels? I read one forum where people where saying they had a permanent loss of strength, could not throw the discus as far?
Avatar m tn Flomax can reduce the amouht of seman that you produce. It would be unusual though to have this production reduced down to zero unless the man was ejaculating very often. In general terms Flomax is a useful medication with very few side-effects..
Avatar n tn , where normal for him means slow urination due to long standing BHP, but not as slow, painful, and dribbling as with Flomax. We are just guessing that the way Flomax works by relaxing muscles is causing these effects. (Could the enlarged prostate end up pressing even more on muscles?? I realize these are just guesses: I have looked at a lot of medical sites, but this does not look like to be listed as a side effect!
Avatar m tn light headness after cataract surgery and Dr was told about Flomax of which I am still on 2 years later
Avatar n tn I have noticed that just in the past several years my semen volume has diminished to just a drop when i ejaculate. My penis no longer throbs and my testicles seemed to have gotten a lot smaller. My sex drive is much reduced and my climaxes are almost pseudo. My penis does'nt get all that firm when erect and I don't walk up in the moring with an erection as in the past. Even if I go a month without ejaculating or no matter how aroused I am it stays the same.
1516809 tn?1345082764 I went to a urologist who told me that my prostate because of my age is starting to enlarge like all men, and that I am retaining urine in my bladder per ultrasound. He prescribed Flomax for me to take indefinitely, and told me that the hematospermia will heal on its own and clear after a few more subsequent ejaculations. Recently, I experienced hematospermia again, red blood in the semen again.
Avatar n tn He takes 5 mg blood pressure med and he takes Flomax daily. When he first started taking Flomax; which he needs to be able to urinate or as he says to keep his plumbing working, anyway, he would have dizzy spells. His doctor said this was normal, a side effect of Flomax. But now lately he has been passing out; I think that is unusual for any medication and I'm worried there may be something else going on.
Avatar m tn Can flomax have impact on your sleeping behavior.
Avatar m tn i am having tachycardia, chestpain after using flomax - only second pill how long can take the side effects considering that i stopped taking flowmax 36 hours
Avatar m tn I have been using finesteride instead of flomax for the last 4 month.
Avatar n tn I have been to two urologists and one GP, who have offered me various anti-inflammatories, FloMax, and a bunch of different types of antibiotiocs. I had a few urine tests, and even an MRI. Nothing has come up positive or out of the ordinary. The problem is there more or less every day. It is usually worse later in the day. I do not have pain when I urinate or ejaculate, but sometimes when it is extra bad, the pain makes me feel like I have to pee often.
Avatar n tn I've taken flomax for several years, and want to undergo cataract surgery. What should I expect? This discussion is related to Cataract surgery and Flomax.
Avatar n tn I have been experiencing retrograde ejaculation from taking Flomax and Uroxatral for several years. Will normal ejaculation return if I stop the medication? How long will it take?
