flexeril for pulled muscle

Today, I was given flexeril for a pulled muscle. I have anxiety issues and a touch of sleep apnea. I was wondering if this medicine would give me anxiety issues? Or just make me calm?

I pulled a muscle in my neck last week and my dr wrote me flexeril 5mg and im 16 weeks, seemed to help alot!

Anyway, i always had muscle spams. Nothing i couldnt handle. I was given pills (flexeril 10 mg) and they used to work. But lately...no matter what i take the pain is overwelming. I cant even walk! idk if my mind is playing tricks on me. If im making it worse than it really is. Dont take me wrong, i believe i can take the pain (hey i had 3 kids...yeah i can take pain LOL) but i dont think this is right. Basically...what can i take or do to prevent or ease the pain.

I went in to the doctors today because my side was hurting so bad it hurt to move. My doctor said my muscle is pulled and straining and he wants me to take muscle relaxers for a few day.. I don't know how I feel about taking them but I'm in so much pain has anyone took them while being pregnant before?

why is he having muscle spasms? I have taken flexeril and soma for many many years..( never that many at a time) I would think if his spasms are severe enough to do that he would go to a dr. or the ER. I hope he is ok....but the guy neeeds help and only a dr can do it....It may be from a chemical imbalance that he is getting the spasms...and no muscle relaxer will do anything for that long term.

No I didnt want to take any pain meds, try a hot water bottle, or a warm bath first if it doesnt help then speak to your doc about what is safe!

i currently take flexiril, i dont think its addicting at all, i actually think it helps alot with withdrawals all the rls and muscle cramps yunno, i was prescribed them for a pulled muscle in my back and they seem to work pretty good

I was prescribed Flexeril (a muscle relaxer) today for my back pain. I am 37 weeks. Has anyone else taken muscle relaxers and did you have any issues with it?

I have tried several muscle relaxers over the years for my shoulder pain and flexeril is the only one that works for me. It helps with the pain and also helps me to sleep. I am really sensitive to medication so I usually only take half of a 10 mg tablet at bedtime. Sometimes when I am in a a lot of pain during the day I'll take a quarter. It helps without making me too tired. Hope this helps some.

I been taking flexeril for years because of muscle pain due to Lupus and for the last 2 months have been being treated for severe indigestion as a side effect of the med Verapimil. I was wondering if the flexeril could relax the sphincter muscle that is involved in GERD? Please give me any ideas or info you might have regarding if the flexeril would be contraindicated due to the GERD situation? Thanks, God bless!

I've tried both Soma and Flexeril (not at same time!) for muscle relaxers (I have fibromyalgia, lupus, severe arthritis). Really the only side effect I've experienced with the Flexeril is that it makes me VERY sleepy, but when I'm hurting and having trouble getting the rest that I need, that actually is a good thing!

My little Staffie who is in perfect health has been diagnosed by the vet with muscle strain he was to have total rest and take anti inflamotary tablets for 1 week but he is no better.Now I have to admit the rest he had was not total he is a livewire. Please advise what I should now do.Should I cage him as I feel he will not like that at all and maybe bang against the cage.If it will work I'll buy one. or if you can suggest anything at all that will help him to get better.

Ok so I pulled a muscle in my back & my OB gave me lortab. I know she wouldn't prescribe anything that would harm me or the baby but I'm still skeptical... Is anyone else like this about doctors advice & recommendations? A first time mother & very cautious!

Otherwise, when you are resting place a warm compress on your stomach area and take an antiflammatory medication for pain.

Flexeril didnt do anything at all for me - you may want to try it though - it might help sleep if taken around bedtime........its not dangerous at least........
