flexeril

604266 tn?1236358985 I relaized the muscle relaxants might help because as soon as I started ambien my pain decreased some. I know ambien and muscle relaxants are not the same but I'm assuming since ambien does relax the body that maybe the MR will too...hopping anyway. She said it will sedate me a bit and I will probably have no need for my ambien. But I hate being sedated and was hopping someone had some expereince with it and could tell me if it just makes you a little sleepy or knowcks you completely out.
Avatar f tn Ok I have not taken an opiates for 11 days. I have been on soma 4 to 6 a night for 12 years to get to sleep. I do not sleep at all without them. Well new dr took me off and put me on flexeril that does nothing. I will never sleep again! Oh and how I do love to sleep. My body craves sleep and I can't wait for bedtime. I even took an ambien one time and it did nothing. Nite time OTC meds don't work. Will I ever sleep again?
Avatar f tn I need to go see a therapist as i stopped my aftercare too soon and didnt have the right fit of a therapist. I am going to taper the ambien down to 5 mgs a night for a week or 2 and then maybe 5 mg every other night for a week or so. I was wondering what to expect in terms of side effects from quitting.Anybody out there been through this? I think i see now why the addiction psychiatrists wont prescribe ambien.....my gp doc did that, and yes she knew about my addiction to the pain meds.
Avatar f tn If u could answer about the roxycodone...
Avatar m tn I have hashimotos By the way. I am asking because i am hanving jaw tension and pain now and want to take the flexeril but i am afraid it might trigger my hyop tyroidism.

3795221 tn?1348159475 The Rheumatologist prescribed Flexeril, Ambien and told me to go to a psychiatrist. I made an appointment with a psychiatrist a week ago and have since researched him online. Most reviews talked of how they were strong-armed into hospitalization and put on Suboxone, which seems to be his cure all for his pain clinic. He is also said to get a lot of kickbacks from the pharmaceutical companies for that particular drug and he has his own floor on the psych unit.
1460652 tn?1340248730 then i was involved in a car accident and was prescribed flexeril 7 days ago. the palps started 30 mins after the first pill. i just thought it was stress from the accident and "oh great, the skips are back"...until they became debilitating, and my bp dropped to 90/50, where as it is usually 115/75.i went to the dr. AGAIN and he said to go see a cardioloist AGAIN.
1386457 tn?1279652083 ve been on klonopin for a year now and to be frank I am just tired of taking medication. I am currently taking celexa, klonopin, ambien, and flexeril. I dont know if I am ready I will just have to see and find out. I am taking .5 a night instead of the 1 mg I was taking everyday. It is day three and I just feel a bit larthgic and had a nightmare last night that was quite vivid. Anyone who has been or is in the similiar situation as me please describe when I should expect symptoms.
Avatar m tn My big fear is epilepsy Oxy use to make me shake and bite my tongue but since i been on 200mg Lamictal it has stopped I read Flexeril may cause seizure but then I also read the opposite. Even if I am not epileptic I like to play it safe as my Doc is out, and the pharmacy worker never seems to know anything. So does Flexeril increase seizure risk or is that just for (diagnosed) epileptics? I don't want to add it to the oxy and have a attack.
Avatar f tn I been taking flexeril for years because of muscle pain due to Lupus and for the last 2 months have been being treated for severe indigestion as a side effect of the med Verapimil. I was wondering if the flexeril could relax the sphincter muscle that is involved in GERD? Please give me any ideas or info you might have regarding if the flexeril would be contraindicated due to the GERD situation? Thanks, God bless!
1415174 tn?1453243103 Hi again has anyone tried Flexeril (muscle relaxant)? Any bad side effects and did it help pain , I have I guess myofascial pain. Any trouble with withdrawal gettnig off of it?
232328 tn?1207090071 I used flexeril for back pain, and to be honest it did nothing...The doctor told me it was going to make me sleepy and it did not...It is a muscle relaxent... I ws on the 10mg dose.... So then he switched me to zanaflex, and i can only take it at nite because it makes me knock out....I don't take it all the time, only when my back is hurting as i think that one can be addicting i am sure others will give you their experience on it!
Avatar f tn My back is really bothering me!! Hurts so bad and can't relax for anything!! I'm 35 weeks and really want to! Has anyone taken a muscle relaxer or even a half of one?
1415174 tn?1453243103 m going again tomorrow to perhaps get off of flexeril and maybe get a monitor to take home. Has anyone had this happen to them when on Flexeril? I noticed that the skipped beats got worse with the supplements i'm on too but don't know if these should cause such an event.
Avatar f tn I've had bad lower back, tailbone, and pelvic pain. My doctor prescribed flexiril and pain meds. I take them as needed, I usually take half of a muscle relaxer though cause they make me so sleepy!
Avatar f tn See if a doctor can write your friend a prescription for some Requip for restlessness, Neurontin (gabapentin) for anxiety and malaise, some Flexeril or Soma for a few weeks for muscle spasms and maybe some Seroquel low dose, for sleep and Klonopin which will be helpful for sleeplessness and anxiety. It will make his withdrawals easier. Valerian and Magnesium is sometimes helpful remedies over the counter. The residual symptoms of insomnia and depression can last another few months.
Avatar n tn a little more info but the short answer is yes with a prescription and yes if it is available in the home and yes from friends. Do you take flexeril? Who suggested it? What does your child need it for? I ask this way because of the ongoing epidemic of Prescription drug abuse by children who get it at home or from friends who get it at home etc. And you did good asking but better to ask your doc. So fill us in and put your pills in a secure Secure place! Looking forward to hearing from you.

Avatar m tn Hi, my husband is disabled with chronic severe back/leg/hip pain from multiple failed surgeries and and one of his pain management meds is Flexeril, that Clean mentioned. He too gets wicked muscle spasms and takes the Flexeril for that. It helps him. I am an opiate addict (for effect) but do get bad lower back pain at night, probably from carrying 60 pounds on my small frame during pregnancy...and I am getting older.
Avatar f tn You are right, certain medications particularly muscle relaxants and antichlinergics, interfere with the results of EMG like baclofen and flexeril or cyclobenzaprine that you are taking. It would be prudent to apprise your neurologist of all the medications you are on, so that the EMG results are appreciated in that light. Muscle biopsy can be taken up after an EMG. Consult your neurologist for his preferences and expertise. Take care.
Avatar n tn Ambien will help you get some sleep so yes I would say it is good. I worked for a Dr. before and the highest dose I saw given was a total of 12mg. So if the tab was 6mg then the patient could take 2. Taking 2 10mg of ambien seems a little high to me.Maybe someone else could answer better than me. I am one of those people that ambien doesn't work. I have tried Ambien cr, Lunesta (sp?) and regular Ambien and still couldn't get any sleep.
Avatar m tn I went to see my pcp and I also got blood work done. It appears my wbc was decreased. I researched the web and found that Flexeril and Benadryl, two meds I’ve been taking since I started working nights and my back pain became unbearable can cause low wbc. I’ve stopped taking both and I am starting to feel better but not back to myself yet and it’s already been 2 weeks since I stopped. I’m guessing this meds are still in my body. I plan to repeat my lab work in a few months.
