Avatar m tn It is characterized by loose joints that easily dislocate, muscle weakness and pain, joint pain, low blood pressure, neurology issues and many more. These issues stem from our DNA not making collagen correctly, thus making every tissue in our body weak. It sounds like you have many of these issues. Most doctors don't know about it and so people go for years not getting correctly diagnosed because it doesn't show on xrays or MRIs.
Avatar f tn I strongly suspect I have either arthritis, or osteo-arthritis, or fibromyalgia, does working under "cold" conditions like refrigeration affect what I have mentioned in my questions?
Avatar m tn I was just recently diagnosed with spondylolysis of my L5 vertebra so my back hurts pretty much all the time. I have real bad pain in the back of my neck all the time. And I have severe pain in both of my shoulders that feels like a burning tearing pain. I have pain across my chest in the muscles that feels like I have just done about 100 pushups.
1170694 tn?1285097509 Hello and welcome, This is common with FM and I believe what your describing is called crepitus. It's fairly harmless. Sometimes it can be caused by arthritis in the joints- other times it's just caused by cartilage rubbing on bones or other tissues. I wouldn't worry too much about it. I have it really bad and have had it for years. It's just something you learn to live with I guess. Heat helps the pain when the joints are swollen.
1201433 tn?1328997637 i am having symptons like those of fibromyalgia, is this a common side effect while on tx?
Avatar n tn If you like to eat red meats you should check your uric acid. If its high its could be gout. If the pain is all over your joints in the morning could be arthritis. Need to see your doctor and get blood work done. Hope my advice can help!

Avatar f tn One possibility is fibromyalgia. Apart from fibromyalgia multiple joint pain is seen in hypothyroidism, low Vitamin D levels, Low Vit B12 levels, anemia, Hashimotos thyroiditis, gout (can sometimes cause multiple joint pain), rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, SLE, electrolyte disturbance particularly those involving calcium and magnesium, parathyroid gland problems, chondrocalcinosis and chronic fatigue syndrome.
Avatar m tn For 30 years I have had severe pain in the neck, ribs, low back, SI joints, wrist, fingers and toes. I have had plaque psoriasis, and gutate psoriasis. My index fingers are starting to turn inward along with the toes on my feet in the same digit location as my hands. I gave up on Dr.s years ago as they didn't manage the pain well.
517902 tn?1314715429 What about lyme disease? I had it for a year and a half before they figured out what it was. By then, although I did receive months of treatment, the lyme had done damage that could not be reversed. I have fibromyalgia as a result and some days can barely walk in the morning. Not every day is bad though. Just a thought. Good luck to you. It is horrible to be in pain and to not have any answers.
Avatar n tn why do some of my finger joints and my left wrist hurt only in the middle of the night?
Avatar f tn I take anti-inflammatory (boswellia serrata, turmeric, sea buckthorn oil) supplements for pain and glucosamine with chondroitin for my joints. Juicing vegetables also helps.
Avatar m tn I'm 28 and I have joint pain in my finger joints and I feel it in my wrists sometimes too. And in the digits of my feet (I think). I have no RF in my blood and the doctor said just take Ibuprofen. I am slightly over weight because of bulimia. I've had gluten sensitivity problems (makes me sluggish and hungry). AND labyrinthitus in the past months. No thyroid problems. Not diabetic. Feeling it might be Fibromyalgia ? I'm lost.
Avatar f tn I went thru 48 months of treatment developed fibromyalgia and worsened joint and bone pain. I have lost a lot of dexterity in my hands and fingers don't have a lot of feeling at the tips, but that's from the treatment. Pre-treatment I had a lot of winter arthritis-like pain in my joints and hands. Don't know if this helps, but I'm new to this forum. Wish I'd seen it when I was on treatment.
Avatar m tn I agree with gymdandee. Schedule an appointment with your doctor. Try to remember when this symptom first appeared. Also take note of any other symptoms you have been having, even if you don't think that they are related. There are many conditions that can cause aching joints.
Avatar f tn Hyperflexibility of joints may be the first sign of chronic fatigue syndrome which also could be the cause of sudden painful jolts (like bulgingnveins with pain). Fibromyalgia too needs to be looked into. Hyperflexible joints are also seen in collagen tissue disorders such as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome or Marfan syndrome Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!
Avatar m tn I do think that fibro is a much deeper pain, I have a friend who has it and it is debilitating to her joints. I would definitely look into it. I wish you luck!!!

4861077 tn?1360156139 Your doctor will be able to prescribe an antidepressant and a narcotic analgesic that are effective in relieving the pain in individuals suffering from fibromyalgia. Nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs are also advised in certain instances. Make sure you get plenty of rest so that you do not get overtired. Some moderate forms of exercise like aerobics will also help with regard to the stiffness. Acupuncture, yoga, massage therapy and magnetic therapy may also be useful.
1207048 tn?1282174304 To this day I have the same pain in the joints. My muscles hurt sometimes. I do not have spasticity. No arthritis, osteoarthritis, etc. My "fibromyalgia" symptoms cause me more problems than my MS on a day to day basis. Both cause fatigue so I have a double whammy there. I'm not sure that I believe I have fibromyalgia. A very good neurologist told me he has observed in his practice that persons with fibromyalgia and MS tend to have a less severe MS.
