Avatar f tn In this cause treatment of the XMRV infection may do little to relive you of most of your FMS symptoms, unless other infections are also considered and treated accordingly.
Avatar f tn One common finding among autoimmune patients with positive ANA and RNP as well as fibromyalgia syndrome is that over 75% have chronic bacterial and viral infections. I suggest that you consider testing for some common infections found in these conditions. A list can be found on our website under Clinical Testing (immed.org). If identified, these infections can be treated (see information under Treatment Considerations on our website).
587946 tn?1240925653 Since the surgery I have had 4 more infections, one of which my gynecologist did a culture for and it was positive. I took and antibiotic and felt better, but I constantly have a slight burning. I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Could that be the issue? I have an appointment to see another urologist in May. I just dont know whats going on.
Avatar n tn According to leading experts on Fribromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue such as Jacob Teitelbaum, M.D, "many studies have shown immune system dysfunction" in fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue disorders. These include viral infections, bacterial infections, parasites and various bowel infections. Yeast overgrowth is the most important infection to treat for. Due to the initial infections, the immune system has been weakened.
434278 tn?1324706225 We previously proposed that many and perhaps a majority of these patients might be suffering from mycoplasmal and other infections that can cause, in part, their complex signs and symptoms. Systemic chronic infections (caused by bacteria such as Mycoplasma, Chlamydia, Borrelia, Brucella, etc. or viruses such as CMV, HHV6, EV or enterovirus, etc.
Avatar f tn I have multiple leasions on the brain, vision problems, balance issues, fibromyalgia, memory problems, I can hardly walk at times, the list goes on and on with no diagnoses but fibromyalgia agoraphobia reverse shoulder replacement cataract surgery at 48. Extreme fatigue. I have issues swallowing food and choking.
Avatar f tn t think that you are in immediate danger, but your extreme fatigue and Hashimotos thyroiditis are probably linked. Often in such cases chronic infections are involved. One product that should help with the fatigue is NTFactor (see NTFactor.com).
Avatar f tn Intractable jaw infections are infections that often involve the bone and are particularly difficult to treat with systemic approaches, such as antibiotics. Unfortunately, successful treatment often requires that the infected bone be ablated. (I went through this procedure myself several years ago, so I have an idea of what you are going through). Until that is done, if that is the problem, then the infected bone becomes a reservoir of infection that keeps re-infecting the body.
Avatar f tn Those 2 labs have outdated and inferior criteria for proper Borrelia and co-infections now know to be infecting deer ticks and humans. Lymes doctors are finding this sexuallly transmittable. do some research.
Avatar m tn 49 AM A study published on September 25 in The International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Medicine found that Fibromyalgia (FM) “prevalence was found to be as high as 25% in a single study of hepatitis B virus (HBV) carriers (1).” polyDNA recommends Gene-Eden-VIR to help the immune system target the latent HCV and HBV. Rochester, NY (PRWEB) November 28, 2013 Patients with life-long infections of the hepatitis B and hepatitis C viruses tend to develop Fibromyalgia (FM).
Avatar n tn That's great that you PCP tested you for lyme disease. Sorry that you have it. It's also important to get tested for the co-infections. I hope you will be getting treatment for lyme and co-infections; if you have any. It's my opinion and many others that fibromyalgia is a stage or a symptom of lyme disease and co-infections. If you would like some sites where you can find more information about this, please let me know.
563571 tn?1232491190 I have chronic severe ITP (Immune or Idiopathic thrombocytopenia purpura)-- diagnosed 10 years ago. I have finally been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia after years of severe pain and fatigue. My pain is so severe now I have begun doing more research. I just found this site and read some posts on the connection between clotting and FMS. Can someone explain this connection more clearly to me? Do most most of you with FMS have ITP also?
470168 tn?1237471245 t the brightest in the world, but they care about their patients and actually spend time with you instead of trying to kick you out the door in 15 minutes or less. Oh, and I am on both a lupus med and a fibromyalgia med... I am taking Lyrica for the pain, which has been recently approved for fibromyalgia. It knocks a lot of pain out, but I warn you if you aren't on it... it makes you gain weight if you don't watch what you eat.

Avatar f tn Is there a connection between fibromyalgia and the ability to manage dental pain during procedures? I had to have some cavities taken care of last week - the dentist had to do four rounds of novacaine in addition to the topical analgesic and it had no effect on the nerves. He even gave me the maximum amount that could be administered. I'm also curious if there is a link between tooth decay and fibromyalgia.
Avatar n tn not only covers the mycoplasma infections in CFS and autoimmune conditions, but it also covers borrelia burgdorferi, as well as the often seen co-infections of babesia microti, human monocytic and granulocytic ehrlichia, and the many and varied elusive human herpes viruses. It is a natural treatment and homeopathic, but I'm thrilled that I'm responding well to the treatment. In fact, a member here in MedHelp just sent me a PM letting me know that she's making progress.
Avatar f tn Hi I'm new to the group, I've just been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and i want to know how do you get it, what brings it on and how is it diagnosed?
16615961 tn?1454420087 It's been a few months since my last labs and I never actually got to see my results. GP just told me everything looked normal. I go back at the end of the month but I am just so tired of getting sick. This year alone I had a really bad UTI that turned into a bladder and kidney infection and I was sick for 3 months. Not to mention the shot they gave me messed up my leg for months after that. I also have RA since age 16. And fibromyalgia add of the last year.
Avatar f tn s, yeast and bladder infections). I was undiagnosed at the time and so I was being treated with antibiotics and then eventually I found out how to get rid of some of these infections without prescription medications. It looks like you are doing the same and being pro-active when it comes to your health. What helped me with bladder infections was drinking lots of water and cranberry juice.
Avatar f tn Is pelvic adhesive disease, endometriosis, IC and fibromyalgia related in anyway?
