Since the surgery I have had 4 more infections, one of which my gynecologist did a culture for and it was positive. I took and antibiotic and felt better, but I constantly have a slight burning. That's great that you PCP tested you for lyme disease. Sorry that you have it. It's also important to get tested for the co-infections. I have chronic severe ITP (Immune or Idiopathic thrombocytopenia purpura)-- diagnosed 10 years ago. I have finally been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia after years of severe pain and fatigue. Is there a connection between fibromyalgia and the ability to manage dental pain during procedures? I had to have some cavities taken care of last week - the dentist had to do four rounds of novacaine in addition to the topical analgesic and it had no effect on the nerves.
