Common Questions and Answers about Fibromyalgia yeast infections

710094 tn?1229312306 I think my worst symptom is the deep pain in my muscles and joints. I have alot of UTI's, vaginitis, yeast infections, headaches and fatigue. I tried to get disability and was denied. Then I got on the fentynal patch for pain and felt I could work cause it helped my pain tremendously. I have also taken Norco for 3 years. I recently went off of my patch due to no insurance. (It's very expensive). I actually feel better. Pain is worse but I'm not as tired and sleepy.

5586759 tn?1370438872 I've actually answered my own question about Apple Cider Vinegar. It's a Probiotics which fights yeast infections. *wink* thanks for that mention! It also helps reduce blood pressure which I did not know. I can see this being added to my morning and afternoon regimen now!
Avatar f tn Individuals with CFS/Fibromyalgia are more susceptible to yeast infections. It is important that we treat all types of infections (yeast, parasite, bacterial, viral). These infections can make CFS/Fibro. worse. I believe there are natural treatments for yeast infections if you search the internet.
Avatar f tn Hi! Some women have an immune system that predisposes them to yeast infections. They just seem to acquire them and not be able to clear them. There are some options that you can try. . . Sometimes a yeast culture can be obtained which shows an organism that is resistant to standard treatments, but sensitivities can be performed and other antifungal agents may be effective. Sometimes long term (6 months) daily therapy with Fluconazole can be effective.

Mycoplasma, Chlamydia, Borrelia, Rickettsia and other pathogens can also directly damage and kill nerve cells in a process called apoptosis, resulting in nervous system degeneration.
Avatar n tn You should be tested for Lyme and Pathogenic Mycoplasma co-infections. For now, an antifungal diet (no carbs,no sugars,no yeast) should help, as the main source of tartaric acid is yeast and fungal metabolites. Just do a search to get lists of the all the foods allowed and the ones to avoid. Consuming Extra Virgin Coconut Oil will help significantly. Check this out at the coconut research website It is a bit tough to follow such a protocol, but your body will Thank you greatly for that.
Avatar m tn Hi. I also have Fibromyalgia since 2005. Struggling to support myself financially since I can't do office work any longer. To sore on the arms. In the meantime I tried D-Ribose but be careful if you have low blood sugar as I do. D Ribose was helping until I got bad headaches. So again, I thought I found something and am too sensitive to its benefits. If you know of anything else that can help let me know.
402205 tn?1230484605 I have both CFS and Fibromyalgia. From the initial diagnosis it appears I have a problem with yeast and low thyroid. I'm a little scared because they told me it would get a little worse while my body detoxifies before it gets better but I guess it's a small price to pay. Any info that anyone could give me and any experiences that you've had that may help me, I'd love to hear.
Avatar n tn First of all Cymbalta is not for anxiety, it's for depression and helps pain. Do you have frequent yeast infections or have you had thrush? Look up Candida. It could be that. It mimics fibromyalgia. If you have true anxiety ask your doctor about something for anxiety like buspar or ativan. Cymbalta isn't helping your anxiety. Also have your thyroid checked. I hope that helps.
1852058 tn?1320162300 By the time I reached 15 I was diagnosed with IBS, and Migraines, By the time I was 18 it was FMS, CFS, Chronic pain, thoracic outlet syndrome, RLS, Mild scoliosis, TMJ, Chronic yeast infections, and after I had my daughter at 24 I was diagnosed with Aura Migraines, and by the time I was 31 I was diagnosed with Stage IV endometriosis effecting the bowels, bladder, ureters and everywhere else.
Avatar n tn I have recurring infections that I think are yeast. I have symptoms of yeast & Bacterial Vaginosis. I always have a lot of discharge, always have. But I seem to get a lot of irritation and redness in my vaginal area (and swelling after sex). My right labia has swollen significantly in the past and been sore, it felt like I had a blood vessel to burst (this was after sex) My discharge never has an odor (which would suggest BV, right?
Avatar n tn These include viral infections, bacterial infections, parasites and various bowel infections. Yeast overgrowth is the most important infection to treat for. Due to the initial infections, the immune system has been weakened. Consequently, many other recurrent infections can also arise - further weakening the body's ability to fight back. In his new book entitled Fibromyalgia: Up Close and Personal, Mark J.
Avatar f tn You are likely referring to thrush or localized yeast infections. When Candida becomes a systemic infection it can weaken your intestinal lining, compromise your immune system and if left untreated, lead to more serious conditions, like CFS, FMS and others. Lyme Disease is notoriously difficult to diagnose and to treat.
Avatar n tn I don't believe everyone with Fibromyalgia has infections, but if they do, the infections need to be treated either naturally or with prescription treatment. If you don't have any obvious signs of an infection, you probably don't have Lyme, EBV, etc. but please tell me if I am wrong. I would have accepted a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia because I do think it is a very real illness within itself, but because I have been deathly ill and have even lost weight since my Fibro.
Avatar n tn Since then I have never been the same - I have had periods (much shorter this time) where the severe/acute symptoms come back again, and have had numerous infections including costochondritis and diverticulitis and even had to get my gallbladder removed after a sudden onset of pancreatitis. In 2007 I was finally diagnosed with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, hashimoto's, IBS, and dormant ebstein-barr and HHV-6.
Avatar n tn I also have hypothyroidism and Fibromyalgia. Since the Fybromyalgia has set in I cannot stay off antibiotics. I have constant upper respiratory infections. I know my immune system is weak. I try to keep it strong and I do see a pulmonologist. I rinse my sinuses and use my pulmo-aid machine . It seems to start in my sinuses. Could I have yeast overgrowth in my sinuses due to frequent use of antibiotics and who would diagnos that.
1550149 tn?1340004330 Unusual infections include viral infections, parasites and other bowel infections, infections sensitive to long-term treatment with the antibiotics Cipro and Doxycycline (e.g. mycoplasma, chlamydia, Lyme’s, etc) and fungal infections. N- Nutritional Supplementation - The western diet is one of most highly processed and preservative-filled in the world which can cause nutritional deficiencies in people, another key contributor to FMS, CFS and MPS.
358486 tn?1294779988 Hey Brandy, Sorry I'm getting back to you so late, between the kids/meds/husband starting the second shift can be ruff. But I will ask the dr. about it, I do deal with yeast infections often and ear infections. I really never brought it up to the dr. because they're so quick to say "it's nothing etc.
Avatar f tn there is an increased risk of yeast infections in patients receiving steroid treatments
Avatar m tn There are a lot of things that can cause that...allergies, pollution, exposure to toxins or mold, systemic yeast infections or other fungal infections, certain bacterial infections (like Bartonella), Celiac Disease, and some chronic conditions, like Chronic Fatigue/Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, Fibromyalgia, and a variety of autoimmune disorders. I have it as part of my Lyme Disease and Bartonella so I know how frustrating it is.

Avatar f tn I chronically have sinus infections, colds and the flu.I often have a low grade fever and muscle weakness as well. I am always run down and extremely exhausted. Doctors have tested me for everything and no one can tell me what is wrong or how to get better. I recently had sinus surgery and yet am right back where I was before the operation. I am so sick and tired of being sick and tired. Does anyone have any idea of what I might try or what could be wrong.

Avatar m tn Do you take any inhalers or have any immune conditions in your family, such as arthirits, lupus, fibromyalgia? Thrush is a yeast... similair to the yeast infections that women sometimes get. I'm sure this is NOT what you wanted to hear.
Avatar n tn I do get occasional yeast doctor says I have a sensitivity to low levels of yeast, hence the vulvodynia. But, any time I have an irritation, I think "this is it!!!! I am dying!!!" If I had HIV, would I have symptoms other than the odd yeast issue by now? Is the oral sex risk really less than 1 in 10,000, making it virtually non-existent? Should I let this go? HELP!!!
Avatar f tn Hi ! With CFS, I used to get numerous infections (sinus, URI's, yeast and bladder infections). I was undiagnosed at the time and so I was being treated with antibiotics and then eventually I found out how to get rid of some of these infections without prescription medications. It looks like you are doing the same and being pro-active when it comes to your health. What helped me with bladder infections was drinking lots of water and cranberry juice.
