Common Questions and Answers about Estrogen vitamins

Avatar f tn I did a hormonal imbalance test and it turns out my estrogen level is at 203. The doctor told me to eat healthy, no carbs and no sugar. They also say irregular period is due to stress. I did my research stress leads to high estrogen. So I am guessing that is what causing it to be high. But I also read eating foods with lots of vitamins (ex. Selenium. Melatonin, vitamin b, magnesium, etc.) helps reduce it. But all this time I've been on a diet and I have been eating all of that.
Avatar f tn I had been reading online that it is possible to help facilitate regrowth by taking prenatal vitamins and bromelain tablets and green tea extracts as well as low dose aspirin and eating estrogen enriched foods as well, so I started taking the prenatal vitamins, the bromelain and green tea extracts and eating flax seed pumpkin seed and other estrogen rich foods. Now after just two weeks I am having spotting and am experiencing cramping.
Avatar f tn It's really the pregnancy. The estrogen prevents hair loss. It make it healthier though.
Avatar f tn Causes of estrogen dominance include birth control pills, estrogen replacement therapy, stress, poor diet, obesity, xenoestrogens (excess estrogens found in anything from pesticides to plastics). Estrogen dominance can affect conversion of T4 to T3 as well as increase thyroxine binding globulin (if there is too much thyroid binding globulin, thyroid hormone is bound and unable to get into the cells).
Avatar f tn generally aspirin is known to thin the blood and enhance blood flow to the heart, it is also belived similarly that it will improve blood flow to the uterus and hence better absorption of all ur meds, the progesterone, estrogen, folic acid and even ur vitamins. Folic acid is a must for baby development and with all this treatment ur immunity may be compromised so definitely that ur vitamins.
649848 tn?1534633700 That includes key hormones like estrogen, along with fat-soluble vitamins and any organic pollutants that found their way into your bloodstream as you gained weight. Adipose tissue’s tendency to store things is an unfortunate side-effect, because often we need those things to be circulating, not sitting around. Take hormones, for instance.
1258539 tn?1293840202 I take it in an estrogen form. My estrogen absorption is not doing very well. My level is now at 18. I have severe anxiety/depression/depersonalization. I went to my doctor yesterday and he said that my numbers for estrogen are low because I have so much anxiety/depression that my body is using up the estrogen where it shouldn't be. He said that if I got my anxiety/depression under control then my estorgen would go where it should. Has anyone ever heard of this?
Avatar m tn How do you become estrogen dominant if your progesterone levels are normal? Does estrogen just keep overproducing after a past spike in estrogen due to depleted progesterone? I'm wondering why this imbalance between progesterone and estrogen remains and why my body hasn't corrected it after so long. Can a serious bout of stress really do this? Yes I've upped my B6, C, and B12 and all my other B vitamins. I take multivitamins and have always eaten healthy.
Avatar f tn So I have taken 5 rounds of clomid with each round preceded by prometrium to induce af. on my last cycle af never came, apparently my lining was too thin to have af. my doc wanted to put me on bc for a month to build up my lining but I can't take birth control (the high estrogen makes me grow precancerous lumps in my breasts). So she put me on flaxseed oil, she said it is a plant estrogen which might help with my lining. Has anyone done this?? Did it work?
Avatar m tn I have tried many multi-vitamins in the past and always find that something within them makes my stomach upset. Not sure if it is the iron or zinc but when i take the vitamins like B,C, D and Omegas I feel ok.
Avatar f tn Anyone knows any good vitamins to natural regulate cycle and strengthen fertility?
Avatar f tn First off, please don't tell me to see a doctor. I can't right now. I want to treat with vitamins and herbs anyway. I'm pretty sure I'm either estrogen dominant or deficient, but I can't be sure which. It seems that I have most of the symptoms for both, and not just the ones they have in common. I'm obviously leaning toward dominant because it's much more likely being 27 years old.
Avatar f tn I am not sure what you are describing comes from low estrogen levels. The wrinkles sound more like dehydration from the night sweats. Talk to your doctor and get some blood drawn and see what is going on with your hormone levels, don't let him or her fob you off with "it's normal." Be sure you are taking all your vitamins, as many as when you were pregnant or more, including iron especially. And get over to your doc! Good luck.
Avatar f tn Estrogen can give quite a headache, and estrogen levels increase a lot during pregnancy -- try vitamin B 100 and magnesium (be sure to take the magnesium only a half pill at a time or it can give you stomach cramps and the runs).
Avatar m tn The vitamins and calcium with D3 are a good start. However, in order to absorb the Calcium and other vitamins she needs to make her own estrogen. I take Siberian Eleuthero (Ginseng) and Magnesium glycinate to help me make estrogen and build my bones. I have osteopenia also. For her stomach problems, I think she should be taking acidophilus and enzymes. I stopped taking PPIs and started taking Gluten Cutter from Walmart as it contains over 10 different enzymes.
1660049 tn?1326089018 I am currently ttc taking metformin wondering if prenatal vitamins or folic acid will cause harm?
7843530 tn?1395009668 I was expecting to hear that I had too much estrogen, not too much testosterone! Are there herbal supplements or vitamins that encourage a decrease in testosterone? I don't have insurance so beyond what the walk-in clinic already told me, I'm kind of on my own in terms of trying to fix this. I'd appreciate any further feedback--I'm really tired of skipping periods for no apparent reason!
1112615 tn?1258650318 Nurse called and confirmed that my estrogen level was low and that is why I have been suffering. They had me on the vivelle but it did not work plus the terrible side effects. They wanted to put me on Enjuvea which is another synthetic hormone with basically the same possible side effects. I told them I was going to try the phytoestrogen therapy vitamin with isoflavone and the progesterone cream because it is a natural approach. What td you all think?????????
Avatar f tn If you are experiencing hair loss, it is most likely the result of fluctuating estrogen level. Your physician may be able to check your hormone levels and, if necessary, prescribe additional vitamin or mineral supplements. At the very least, she can reassure you that some hair loss is normal. Reduce your anxiety. Stress plays a big role in your body's overall health, including the health of your hair. Feeling stressed out can actually increase the amount of hair loss. Eat well.
Avatar f tn So, while our estrogen levels fall by a certain percentage, our progesterone may drop far more. That may leave us estrogen dominant and adding more products that stimulate estrogen can lead to things like a thickening of the endometrium which, over time, can lead to precancerous or even cancerous situations. Estrogen and estrogen like compounds can be stored in fat while progesterone can't (especially if we are already overweight).
6882875 tn?1385743698 So sorry you are sick and unable to get a diagnosis! You might want to try some B 12 sublingal vitamins. There are two types of anemia, iron and B 12. For the chronic cough, you might want to try taking Elderberry capsules. They cut phlegm and stop the hacking cough. the night sweats might be from menopause - try taking Siberian ginseng to make your own estrogen.
Avatar n tn This is going to sound like a ridiculous question, but it's bothering me. I'm a 40-year old male and mistakenly took two female hormone pills (unsure of the exact active ingredients, perhaps estrogen) thinking they were vitamins. I don't know the exact dosage. I'm very concerned I'm going to have some permanent effects from this -- decreased testicle size, or breasts, or something -- and it's freaking me out. What can I expect? Have I done serious damage to my body.
Avatar f tn I will update once i have an actual print out of levels, but i was curious about natural ways to treat hormone imbalances. My testosterone is extremely high, estrogen extremely low, and progestrone is low as well. I may be jumping the gun here without actual numbers, but I'd just like to get started on taking some kind of herbs/vitamins/supplements as soon as possible. Not sure if this is useful in anyway, but possibly worth noting--my Vitamin D, B12, and Iron are all extremely low.
Avatar f tn I would get some milkthistle vitamins that help detox your liver so it can better process out excess estrogen. Cysts are beyond painful, they are horrifying. I hope you can find a good gynocologist to help you.
Avatar f tn i am taking various menopausal vitamins and supplelments, but those have stopped working and again the flashes are back. i am now beginning to wonder if the hot flashes are related to the thyroid and not menopause. Would taking a brand name rather than a generic drug help? I do not take any other drugs and don't have any other medical issues. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn Your estrogen levels are way too high. Total estrogen normal reference range: Day 1 - 10: 61 - 394pg/mL, Day 11–20: 122–437 pg/mL; Day 21–30: 156–350 pg/mL. High estrogen leads to excessive production of thyroid binding globulin (TBG). Although there are enough thyroid hormones in the blood, they are not taken up by the body's cells as they are inactivated by TBG. In other words, thyroid labs are in range but you have signs of low thyroid function.
Avatar f tn I would look into that, also be sure that you are eating healthy and exercising, also keep taking the prenatal vitamins. My husband and I tried for about 8 months until we finally got pregnant.
