When i was receiving the depo shot the only thing it made me do was gain weight!! The doctors say that not all women gain weight on it!!
Which is okay when it is not heavy, but I went on the depo shot because a friend had suggested it to me. She said she experienced bleeding after the shot and was prescribed estrogen for it. She took it for 3 days and her periods and spotting stopped completely.
Now, my doctors will not prescribe me anything. My family doctor said he has never heard of this, and my gyno (which is the same doctor who prescribed her the estrogen) keeps saying ignore it.

I have to say, going to estrogen only WILL make you go back to having monthly periods. But at least they will be predictable and easier to live with than month long bleeding and heavy and irregular bleeding.
I am a 15 year old girl who just started the Depo shot in late June. I got my period normal time July 1st but it hasn't gone away it's now August 29th. And my boyfriend think's I should talk to my doctor. Should I?
has anyone taken the hcg shot and had rising progesterone levels and were still not pregnant? the reason i ask is because i took my day 21 levels and my estrogen was 314 and my prog was 16.2. i took the hcg shot and was told to go back 3 days later to see if my levels increased or decreased and they did increase. is there a good chance i may be pregnant?
But I have visual migraines that cause me to. E on a low estrogen kind of birth control, so it was that, pill, arm implant, or iud. I did the pill for a while, but I'm not responsible enough to take it daily at the same time.
I am 10 days post IVF transfer using donor eggs. 2 days after transfer my estrogen was over 1000. 1 week after it was below 600 and 9 days after it was below 400. I am really stressing. My progesterone has gone up each time. I am taking 2 mg Estradiol 3 times per day and am now on the patches changing them every day. Any ideas? Does this mean I am not pregnant?
, then i started estrogen on the 9th day (i need to take this bc i usually do not produce much of my own estrogen and the fertility drug that I take stops estrogen production in my bod) After i took the shot and returned home, I saw the doctor and he only saw a small possible follicle, i had blood work to see if I had ovulated and it came back negative on ovulating. Of course I am sad and confused about it.
I am positive. They told me they needed to be certain I would ovulate, although I think the reason is they wanted to be sure I would NOT ovulate before the scheduled FET. I had my LH surge on a Monday and they scheduled my FET for Thursday. I believe it was Monday night I took the HCG shot. How does it work when you don't do a trigger shot for FET? How do they know when to do the transfer?
Estrogen thickens your lining but it also works like birth controll pills and stops follie development. My RE gives me a shot of estrogen the day of hcg trigger shot.
I'm on my second round of IUIs. The first round was when I concieved my son, and I was told my lining was thin.
4.5 sounds pretty thin but I am very sceptible of the whole lining thing. I would have them monitor it for a couple of cyces before I would decide to have surgery.

I actually had trouble with the pill as my lactation (ugh, really NOT cool when you are a single girl with no children . . . LOL) was due to too much estrogen and many pills are estrogen based. So, you'd have to talk to your doctor to see which pill if any would work in the situation of a hormonal imbalance.
My estrogen was in twice-weekly shots, and when I asked my doctor why they prescribed that I take them Wednesday evening and Sunday evening (clearly not exactly the halfway point in a given week, it was an every third day, every fourth day schedule) I was told there was still residual estrogen from the last shot even by the fourth day. Not so with prometrium, it fades quickly out of your system, they were definite that I had to be pretty much to the hour and minute on those. You're good.
I did clomid 50mg 5-9 ,ultrasound and hcg and estrogen levels on Wednesday I have two follicles one 30 ang one 26 estrogen level 1450 iui in the morning no trouble in past concieving but 36 years old eggs needed help maturing.whats my chances?
