257175 tn?1204161973 A mature follicle will have between 150-200 level of estrogen. The normal level of estrogen on day 2/3 of your cycle(after you get your period) is usually 40-60 that lewel increases as your folliclesgrow . That is why they may up your dose.
631270 tn?1224862606 Hi Mary Pat, I know there is a woman who has spoken of taking injections that (I think) included Estrogen and I recall reading her posts on the Hysterectomy site. There is also a woman who answers posts (has in the past for sure, but I have not dropped by that site for a while) about Hormone replacent and she uses Estrogen pellets and I know she uses Testosterone but I cannot recall if that is in the pellet, but I think it is.
1387940 tn?1299097997 I am also on 2x week estrogen injections and will be starting progesterone injections on Monday. Do you have a transfer day yet?
Avatar m tn She gets the injections as part of an infertility treatment. She had the last injection (the third) a couple of weeks ago and since then things began to turn badly. Her eyes soar, her mouth is dry, she developed joint pains, and the worst part is that she cannot focus on the work she is doing (she is simply unable to concentrate). Not to mention the psychological effects. I read that the effects may last very long (months, even years)...
Avatar f tn my follicles developed, but my estrogen stayed very low. So, next is hormone injections. Has anyone had a similar experience with success? I'm really worried that because I didn't respond to Clomid that NOTHING will work! This is so emotional and scary. Any feedback is greatly appreciated - thanks! Hi! I was on clomid for a couple of months. I had some issues with my Estrogen not rising as it should as well!
Avatar f tn He was diagnosed at the age of 19 with Hypogonadism due to a small pituitary gland. He takes injections three times a week of Norvel (testosterone). Today a workmen's comp dr took and x-ray of his wrist and said his growth plates are still open. His current Endo doctor said he would need to stop his injections and take another medication to close the plates. He doesn't want to stop the injections because of the effects it will cause him.
280418 tn?1306325910 I stopped the pill and started Depo Provera injections, and the migraines ceased. Now, 10 years later, they started again. I have had 3 in two weeks. Interestingly enough, I had a couple this summer (hadn't been on the pill in years). I started the pill (Yaz) this Jan. and now the migraines have really increased in frequency. I stopped the pill last night to see if they at least decrease in frequency. Does any research support an increase/onset of migraines with taking the pill?
Avatar f tn I was taking the series of injections up to Friday. My doctor stopped the cycle because my estrogen levels were really really low. I did have some follicles but it would not have been worth going through the IVF. Can you still ovulate with low estrogen? Will the estrogen levels increase? Help!!!
1117711 tn?1296827938 Did they mention the possibility of baby aspirin or other blood thinners? I know those can help with thin lining. (increases the blood flow to the uterus) Frequently IVF is complimented with one of those. I am on a natural cycle now. Starting estrogen today. Started progesterone last week. Been doing natural supplements that thin the blood like vitamin E, garlic, royal jelly, etc. (since I can't take aspirin due to stomach ulcers).
652864 tn?1251750596 Yay, that sounds great! The estrogen should be about 200 per each mature follicle, which means you may have about 6, or maybe 7 mature follicles!! Which is an outstanding response. Consider yourself lucky not to have to do the IUI this month. Assuming you don't have male factor problems, intercouse should be fine! (We are going into our 3rd consecutive month of IUI and getting tired, if you know what i mean.
Avatar n tn ve had 24/7 migraines following a stroke at age 56. I took no estrogen the first year. Then I went on an estrogen patch, then another one with a higher dose, and then another still higher dose and no difference with the migraines which were gradually becoming better from other treatments. So the estrogen may not be the cause. But if I'm even a few hours late with changing the patch, my migraines become severe. Any change in the hormones can trigger migraines.
Avatar n tn Since that time I have gained weight that I cannot lose, my cholesteral level has risen to a danger zone and now take medication also B12 injections. I suffer from fatigue, memory loss, cold sensitivety and other problems. I recently had a FSH test done and was told the levels indicate I am still producing estrogen.
778044 tn?1299542934 I have a question for anyone using the Ortho Evra Patch to help control their endometriosis. It says right on the box that you are exposed to 60% more estrogen using the patch then other birth control pills. Since estrogen "feeds" endometriosis, how does this make sense? I have been advised by my doctor after 6 months of Lupron injections, to use the patch consistantly (not having a patch off week and not getting a period) until we are ready to get pregnant.
Avatar f tn t know why you would be on hCG. Are you certain the injections are not estrogen? Progesterone is to keep you from shedding your uterine lining, and aspirin is to help the embryo with implantation, but if it is really hCG I do not know why that would be. You might check the third one to see if that is really what it is.
Avatar n tn My dr just put me on it after a failed FET, and I have a massive fibroid that has grown as a result of all the estrogen I was on. The LupronDepot injections should shrink the fibroid and we will transfer another embryo.
Avatar f tn im 48 f, i have periods every 2 weeks for the last 8 months, i also have been getting b12 injections, im depressed but my cheeks and jawline are turning brown, i use sun block , foundation wont cover it, i have also noticed that i have some white patches appearing on my torso and my hand, web searches say conflicting info, high thyroid/low thyroid and hormone imbalance, is this the reason why my periods are like they are ?
1054108 tn?1314298660 I was wandering since progesterone and estrogen are hormone injections can they give false positive on hpt?
1031264 tn?1318524241 This will be my last cycle on clomid...hoping for my BFP and I don't have to do the injections but your story gives me hope! Hope you have luck taking estrogen and progesterine! Im feeling pretty optimistic about the end of my TWW....or just because I want it so bad...don't know which. SSBD to all!
Avatar m tn , if so, it can be a source for testo to estrogen conversion. By the way, all is not wrong with estrogen, some desired level is required for the body.
Avatar f tn Progesterone, baby aspirin and estrogen are standard protocol after ivf. Follistim is a drug also used in ivf (fsh drug). Progesterone itself is needed to Help support and maintain your uterine lining.
Avatar f tn Idk why she is giving these injections . It's supposed to be produced naturally in our body during pregnancy isn 't it?
Avatar f tn They thought I might have had a BFN because my estrogen levels got really high from all of the injections. Best wishes on your FET! Do you know when it will take place?
Avatar n tn The only day I missed at work was the day of transfer. Pretty much estrogen patches from cd1 on and progesterone injections from cd13(I think) on. It is really a cake walk compared to stims for IVF.
Avatar f tn Hi I was wondering if anyone experienced negative side effects from the depo shot? Normal birth contrl pills make me extremely nauseous due to the estrogen, and I can't tolerate it. From my understanding depo does not contain estrogen?
Avatar f tn In pre-menopausal women, the ovaries create most of the estrogen, and after primary treatment, taking Tamoxifen will be sufficient to block estrogen from cancer cells. If needed, for young women with estrogen-sensitive breast cancer, ovaries can be temporarily shut down with ovarian suppression injections. For high-risk women, ovaries can be surgically removed (oophorectomy).
1532503 tn?1321323112 They will call me this afternoon with the blood work results and let me know if I shoould start the injections tonight. He said is a "judgement call". Should I agree to start the injections today even though the lining is not where it should be yet? We're paying for this out of pocket and like you ladies know it's a LOT of money. I just don't want to take any chances....What do you think?
Avatar f tn s hard to answer your question without knowing what your full protocol was. Did your RE do assisted hatching? Were you put on estrogen patches and progesterone injections during the TWW?
Avatar f tn I'm not too familiar with Cerophine, but I was on clomid for 5 months, 3 of those being with iui, and every time my lining wasn't too thick. It was around 8 mm at ovulation time. When conception happens, you want as thick a lining as you can get b/c it's what the baby needs to attach to for the pregnancy to continue. The thicker your lining, the better chance of pregnancy.
