m on the mini pill (I seem to have a really bad reaction to extra estrogen and hormones since having our twins) and it wouldn't be the end of the world (we want another baby but want to wait till our 2 monsters are a bit older) if I were pregnant but we've been taking the precautions (me on b/c and us using condoms). Well a few times this past 2 weeks I've taken my pill more than 3 hours late. I do take it though and we ALWAYS use condoms.

My friend is having a birthday dinner and i havent given birth yet but if i dont go before getting induced he will be 10 days old at the youngest.. Anywhere between 10 days old and 20 days old, is it okay for them to be in a high chair? Or just sit him in the pram?

So, I have a bassinet in my room and and I plan on having my baby sleep in there in our room for the first while. My question is in the nighttime when the babys diaper needs changing did most mommies have these necessities to change them in your room or would you walk and change them on the change table in their room during the night.....??

My daughter will be here in about three months and I was wondering.....where should she sleep? I don't wanna put her in a crib until she gets a little older but what did some of you ladies do? And also I don't wanna have her in bed with me... Well I do but you know lol.....and my last question is about clothes.....what size should I get them? So far I have newborn and 0-3....any advice would help...

Hey ladies! So this is my first pregnacy and im in need of some tips.. But he needs to be either swaddled or wrapped in his favorite blanket. We also need to hold him until be falls asleep or he will scream bloody murder until we pick him up. What I do to calm my little one is I lay down on the couch and put him on top of me with his head on my chest, and rub his back.He's out within minutes. I'll leave him there for about half an hour just to make sure he's actually sleeping then I'll move him to his bassinet.

The estrogen is kicking in with a vengeance and my poor husband has to just grin and bare it all. I think after this pregnancy he will think carefully before attempting to make number 2. Are you experiencing the same?

Then I went to another gyno who said that recent studies have proved that estrogen only with uterus in tact is safer that in fact it's the progesterone that is toxic. Is anyone receiving the same advice?

Mt Melanoma was "in situ", which I hear is great. But now I am trying to do all I can to prevent it from coming back. I have recently read that both estrogen and vitamin C have been linked to increasing Melanoma. Is this true?

Endometriosis feed off estrogen. The estrogen-dependent endo lesions, if left unchecked, will begin to create their own estrogen. I do want to clarify that the pill or any other form of HRT does not prevent the Endometriosis from growing. The reason it is used is to help stop the pain by stopping the periods. I was on a low dose BCP (Marvelon) for 8 yrs continuously and did help with my pain. However it still continued to grow even after deep excision surgery.

With menopause your body stops making estrogen. Eating soy products seems to boost the estrogen a bit, but is that good? I was a regular consumer of soy milk, tofu, edamame and flax seed after menopause. After my diagnosis of breast cancer (estrogen positive) my oncologist recommended I avoid soy products because even the weak phytoestrogens may stimulate cancer cells. I had IVF implantation on Sunday the 3rd. Today I had blood work done at the Dr's office and my Estrogen and Progesterone levels dropped "a smidgen" according to the nurse. They are having me increase my Progesterone shots from 1cc to 1.5ccs and get an Estrogen patch. The nurse says that this doesn't mean that the procedure didn't take but I am worried. It sounds like a bad sign. My question is for other people who have had IVF. Has this happened to you?

I'm due in christmas day so everything is up in the air for me. I'm planning on gettin her a baby's first christmas ornament to wrap and then I'll probably wrap a couple things up for her but mostly so I can take photos and stuff. Just to kind of be able to show her later on her first Christmas pictures. But who knows. She may not even be here yet.

I have just finished dose dense chemo for 8 rounds, and will be doing radiation in a couple weeks. I feel that my estrogen is already not there, then how can I be sure that taking Aridimex will not hurt me even more and cancer will recur really aggressively. My Medical Onc. wants me to consider Aridimex/Zometa.
