Avatar f tn There are many problems that cause vaginal dryness such as hypothyroidism, Sjogren’s syndrome, vaginitis or inflammation of vagina, dermatitis of skin around vagina, or allergy to soaps and lotions. Low estrogen is another cause. It could also be allergy to the lubricant you used. Yes, please inform your gynecologist regarding this. Take care!
Avatar n tn It was actually in a pregnancy magazine and it listed a couple ingredients that are proven to harm the baby... one of them are used for acne..
Avatar f tn Oh ok.
Avatar f tn Lots of people swear by it. I couldn't stand the menthol smell though, it was worse than the itch itself, having to smell that all day. I settled on a lotion called Cera've, recommended by my doctor. Honestly, as a man not used to putting this stuff all over myself (and frankly, I still don't enjoy it) I found this lotion about as painless as it gets. It has absolutely no smell, absolutely no greasy feeling, and one application lasts 24 hours. Goes on fast and easy.

Avatar n tn or rather used a estrogen patch..Estrogen is available in many foms ,,lotions. body mist,,vaginal pellets,,,I like the patch its small acurate and easy to use...Please use bio identical..Premarin the "old-fashioned " estrogen is actually made from horses urine..Bi-Identical is the closest possible at this time to what your own body would make...I recommend Vivelle..Of corse you must discuss with your doctor what she or he thinks is best or you,,and then YOU decide...
Avatar n tn I was low in Estrogen and really low in Progesterone. In a few months it went away. Progesterone converts to Estrogen if your body needs it.
8647560 tn?1415198470 Are stretch marks avoidable? My sister said they are in our genes so don't even try to prevent them.
Avatar f tn So, since about Wednesday I all of a suddenly developed this odd rash on my neck area. I have no food allergies, and never seem to ever be allergice to lotions or perfumes. It doesn't look like a normal heat rash, and if it is then that would be odd for me to get there. Here are the facts: 1. Started Wednesday (thought it was a new body spray, but haven't used any perfume since) 2. Does not hurt, or itch. If anything, just my right side of my neck hurts when I stretch it to look up 3.
Avatar f tn We went to the Caribbean for our babymoon when I was 31 weeks, and I wore a bikini and was religious about putting on sunscreen and staying in the shade during the hottest part of the day and I still got burned. Use a sunscreen that's at least 45 spf and just be aware of how long you're in sun and what skin is exposed and you'll be okay.
Avatar f tn I am a mother of 3 and a nurse and know first hand that all the creams and oils in the world cannot prevent stretch marks, although they are veey good for your skin in general especially during pregnancy. Vitamin E oil is wonderfu. You can typically buy bottles of it at most pharmacies. Our skin unfortunately is a certain elasticity and will only stretch as far as it allows. Best of luck and so willing to answer any questions.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know if it ok to use kingsley house skincare cocoa butter cream in a big tub?

401370 tn?1233324682 I’m assuming you know a woman who has been diagnosed with Vulvodynia (also spelled Vulvadynia), a chronic discomfort or pain characterized by burning, stinging, irritation or rawness of the female crotch in cases in which there is no infection or skin disease of the vulva or vagina causing these symptoms. Burning sensations are the most common, but the type and severity of symptoms are highly individualized, and the pain may be constant or intermittent, localized or diffuse.
Avatar f tn Hi there, I have recently been diagnosed with crohns and had surgery, I am currently not on any medication - I have been itchy on and off for 3 or 4 years my first trigger being the pill, the doctor seemed to think it was the estrogen in the pill that I was allergic to, therefore any food with soy in it would cause the same reaction (soy=estrogen), anyhow I stopped taking the pill and tried to eliminate soy as much as possible (soy is in a lot of foods!
Avatar f tn Hi, You may have to discuss this with your internist.Menstrual migraines should be easily prevented by regular migraine medications. In your case, you have an underlying gastroparesis. You may need to modify your medications. Short term migraine therapy such as triptans may be given 1 to 2 days prior to the onset of your menses. With underlying disease conditions, it is important that you discuss this with your physician.
429647 tn?1249753429 only to find out that her cancer is estrogen postive and probably caused or in some part aided in the growth of her masses. This is a very touchy subject on this forum, and as much as I love and adore Mary, she and I are on opposite sides on this one. Flashes are horrid, I will agree that I have had a really tough time with them as well as the other symptoms of menopause....but, you know what....I am alive. Gather all the facts you can....best of luck.
