Avatar f tn Can stress cause the vagina to itch and legs to itch and burn if there is no present infections of any kind?
Avatar m tn I went through a serious bout of stress from my job a couple of years ago and ended up leaving. My hair thinned, I started getting fat round my waste and on my chest giving me the dreaded man boobs look. The stress and lack of sleep got so bad at times that I often forgot what day it was and could not sleep or stop my hands from shaking. Now the problem remains and I can't get rid of it. My DHEA is fine and so is my testosterone.
Avatar m tn If this goes on for long enough a man (yes, and a woman) can become oestrogen Dominant (too much oestrogen relative to Testosterone). By lowering stress and thus.. reducing cortisol, my progesterone levels should return to normal levels. If that is the case then why wouldn't it counter the extra oestrogen in my body automatically and remove the effects of oestrogen dominance? Why would I continue to suffer the symptoms of oestrogen dominance?
Avatar n tn ) After the Dr left, the nurse practitioner was there and she told me its probably my hormones. Something about rising and falling estrogen and progesterone. Im 40 and she said it could go on like this for 12 years! Anyone heard of hormones causing these PVC's? Thanks for all of you for your support and replies....it has been GREATLY appreciated. Happy new year!
Avatar m tn A LSIL Pap usually means HPV but it could also be a Pap that was not read well. This drives me a little crazy and this is what increases health care costs, you did not need a Pap and now they will want to do more testing (and expensive testing) for something that is probably not needed. This is when too much testing can cause harm. They will want you to have a colposcopy just to make sure there is nothing wrong.
Avatar f tn They also say irregular period is due to stress. I did my research stress leads to high estrogen. So I am guessing that is what causing it to be high. But I also read eating foods with lots of vitamins (ex. Selenium. Melatonin, vitamin b, magnesium, etc.) helps reduce it. But all this time I've been on a diet and I have been eating all of that. Does not explain why it is still high. What is a normal estrogen level. And what can I do to lower it? I have been eating less carbs, no sugar.
Avatar f tn Hello~Your hormones (estrogen and progesterone) could be out of balance, as could your thyroid. If possible, I would see your doctor and have him/her run some tests to see if you have a low/high thyroid and what your estrogen/progesterone levels are. Also, if you are under an abnormal amount of stress, you may have issues like this.
Avatar n tn 1 When absorbed, DIM promotes estrogen metabolism to produce healthy and cancer-protective 2-hydroxy estrogens,2 and minimizes the activity of pro-inflammatory enzymes,3 thereby reducing cellular inflammation. Activating these pathways encourages remarkable weight loss and hormonal balance and provides many other benefits towards healthy aging.
1142929 tn?1271622835 m so dry and my once normal clear discharge is now completely gone, I was wondering if perhaps all the medicine and maybe stress of the whole thing changed my hormones? I mean how can I get back my normal discharge? Is it possible that these medicines have caused my hormones to change and that it will take a while to get back to normal? I think if my discharge came back, that would be my vagina getting back to normal and I wouldn't feel so dry down there.
Avatar f tn It could be the estrogen, but in my experience estrogen doesn't make you fat. For me, it wasn't until the progesterone that I felt bloated. It could be stress, making you eat, too.
Avatar n tn They say stress can effect your period....
Avatar n tn Just make sure that testosterone is part of the regime (not just progesterone and estrogen, as increased estrogen without it will actually make the problem worse). Testosterone levels are directly linked to a keeping your meibomian glands functioning properly.
Avatar n tn It is not unheard of for athletes that do not get their period to have osteoporosis or osteopenia and stress fractures because their bones are not getting the estrogen they need for good bone strength and development. I highly recommend that you see your gynecologist to make sure the only reason that you are not getting your period is that you are underweight and if there is no other reason then that to get on some sort of estrogen replacement or birth control pills.
Avatar n tn Also from my doctor, I learned that one can be both estrogen deficient and estrogen dominant at the same time if progesterone and estrogen are low, and due to our exposure to estrogens & phyto estrogens in environment and foods. So alot of balancing is required and diary your symptoms for your doctor, and balancing your doses of the creams based on your symptoms, always start low and work up, also know that with estrogen, the symptoms of too much and not enough, are the same.
Avatar f tn I've had a bit of yeast since December. And ever since I've been having irregular period. The doctor said it was hormonal imbalance because my estrogen level was high. Apparently he was wrong. Another doctor said it's due to stress, but I haven't been stressed for a while. And all this time I've had a yeast infection that doesn't go away. So I wanted to know if that is the reason why my period is irregular. I saw my gyn. They did tests and nothing is wrong with me.
Avatar n tn i would go and get all your blood levels checked, and see what they have to say. with mine, it was that my progesteran was higher and estrogen was lower and my blood sugars were all off wack. so i had to change my diet and soon enough they were all back to normal and i was getting my periods regularly again. i went over a year with all that craziness after getting off the depo, same as my cousin. although our bodys just werent made to take any kind of birthcontrol, (pill, depo, ring, mirena).
Avatar n tn Then with that --- levels of progesterone and testosterone are unbalanced with the amount of estrogen and cortisol building. So now instead of a sluggish thyroid disorder holding you back - Almost your whole endocrine system is out of whack. Then insulin falls and spikes then organs start to be harmed. Symptoms can alert a person of these changes happening.
Avatar f tn I am in my early teens. My period is late by about two days, and it is often quite irregular, but I believe this is due to the immense amount of stress I have been through this past month with school and personal issues. I have been having weird nipple darkening, excess white/clear sticky (and thick) discharge, and I often feel quite sick. To induce my period, however, I have been taking large doses of Vitamin C (3,000mg-4,000mg) for the past week (to help increase estrogen levels).
Avatar n tn I am extremely depressed and am suffering with hypothyroidism, low testosterone, too much estrogen, high cholesterol and low Vitamin D what is wrong with me? I originally thought that everything here is linked to depression from stress and anxiety so I started taking Lexapro for the depression. But my wife thinks that maybe all of these things are linked to a health issue. About 11 months ago I was diagnosed with high cholesterol and low thyroid, so I am taking red rice yeast and .
Avatar f tn I have been on the pill for over 5 years now. I had unprotected sex 5 days ago (thursday) but he did not ejaculate inside of me. My last day of active pills was Friday and my period has still not come. I have been getting bad back cramps and brown discharge. Should I worry? I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. I'm thinking my period is just late because of the stress I have been under. Thanks for any answers, I've just been worried!
Avatar n tn Hi, I'm not sure about ADD in adults who have not been diagnosed at an earlier age, however this is something you could "google" and research. I would also mention this to your Dr. and see what he/she thinks. As far as the not sleeping at night, ok you said you were diagnosed with insomnia and anxiety? Was this diagnosed from a Dr ? If so then i would say that your tiredness through the day would be partly due to the lack of sleep your getting at night and anxiety.
Avatar m tn no other symptoms this is actually for my mom she is going through menopause and works 12 hour days shes a counselor and has stress along with the job
Avatar n tn I am having very bad hot flashes, mood swings, and fatigue, sometimes insomia. I have been on estrogen since Oct.2008,my O.B. wants me to take Effexor 37.5mg twice daily to help with the hot flashes and mood swings. My concern is that I was previously on Zoloft 50mg. and it gave me real bad headaches raised my blood pressure and sent me on a emergent run to the hsp. emergency room,,I am concerned about starting this medicience that it will cause the same problems or worse. My O.B.
Avatar f tn The cysts can grow, depending on what you eat and your stress level, as well as how well your liver is filtering out excess estrogen, around a cm a month, maybe more, maybe less, in diameter. They are 'fed' (grow) by excess estrogen. I am not a total expert, but I have recently learned that my habit of eating lots of soy products (soy milk, soy meat, etc) mimics estrogen in the body.
405855 tn?1217100767 What is the correlation of estrogen and follicles? What should the estrogen number be before ovulation. Can this number be affected if you are taking Femara. On CD11, I had 5 follis - 20, 15, 18, 17, 16, 12 but my estrogen was only 23, is it possible? My lining was so think 4 mm only.
Avatar f tn I remember that prior to starting treatment in Sept 09, I read somewhere that being post menopause would be a negative strike against me but I still opted to NOT take estrogen. I have been in surgical menopause since 1996, I took estrogen for 10 years and then quit because of the increased chance of breast cancer after taking estrogen so many years. I finished treatment (without taking estrogen since 2006) and I achieved SVR.
