20868200 tn?1552856578 I am really concerned and scared that it can be a colon cancer or an intestine cancer because i used to back in the days smoke on my empty stomach and fast for 24 hours a day, while i would work out. I don't know if i should do a MRI or a CT scan since i had the kidney stones and giving the contrast or stressing my kidneys with radiation would damage them. Please if anyone could help me it would mean a lot to me.
Avatar f tn I feel Gerd and milk allergy are grossly overdiagnosed in infants. Lactose overload has been diagnosed in breast-fed infants now - and I believe it is also found in babies.
Avatar m tn I think it would be wise for her to make an appointment with a GI specialist. While colon cancer is very rare in people under 40, it's not uncommon. Those symptoms can be a sign of things other than colon cancer such as IBS, Crohns, or ulcerative colitis. The bump on the abdomen definatly should be checked out. Keep us posted on how she's doing!
Avatar f tn Hi I'm 21 and have polyasytic ovaries and when I'm on my period and I have a BM or when I'm just gassy it hurts extremely bad in my colon like a knife is being twisted around. My endometrium increases to 8mm thick when I'm menstrating. Also it is very difficult to put a tampon in I have to push under and around a wall. If u have any information it would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar m tn My appetite is good and other than the change in boewl habits during the last few weeks i have no other symptoms that could be considered colon cancer like. I have a family history of cancer and i am scared. Do i need another colonscopy ?
1361044 tn?1277598308 Honestly, in my opinion, babies are so wrapped up in this new world, all the new things going in for them, that a little cold (virus) hardly slows them down. it could be your baby is behind because she doesn't feel well all the time, and THAT is holding her back. Maybe not, but in either case I would push for them to figure it out. Chalking it all down to a virus is a lazy, sorry excuse. My point is, YOU DO know your child more than anyone.
Avatar f tn Ballooning is done in many areas of the body - including the trachea and the esophagus when people have problems with those tubes. When the procedure is done in skilled hands, it's a relatively easy procedure. As long as you don't have a 'thinner' section than normal that you're dealing with - and you shouldn't based on what you're saying - the stretching should go well.
Avatar m tn I have Diverticulosis in my ascending colon. It's uncommon but does happen. Tricky to diagnose without having a colonoscopy though. In your case, imaging for sure, usually ultrasound ... but a colonoscopy might shed some light on things as well.
Avatar n tn I had a pain to my right side under the ribs over two years. I did all tests, US, x-rays,gold bladder, etc. to find why I have a pain every day. I couldn't slep on my left side due to pain. I couldn't sit longer....Every day pain, pain, pain My pain come in after car accident where I was sitting as a passenger and the crush was from my R side. Avatar n tn To answer your questions: 1) Atelectasis is collapse of part of the lung. 2) This refers to the end of the esophagus having thicker than normal walls. Inflammation in this area can be a possible cause. 3) This means the small bowel is bigger than normal. 4) Thickening of the colon in this case is hypothesized to be due to the fact that the colon was not "inflated" at that point, so it appears to be folded upon itself.
Avatar n tn You have had a coloscopy that is recent and your findings at that time were not such to raise the suspicions of colon cancer then or now with your doctor. Colon cancer is slow growing and that is why screenings are important because it allows it to be caught in treatable stages. The family history you have has already been taken into consideration. I would think a question for the doctor would be if the insurance company was not an issue, would they think you needed a colonoscopy right now?
Avatar n tn Is it possible to have herpes appear in your colon? and if yes would this cause severe lower back pain, bloating, painful air entrapment, diverticulosis and possible severe gi bleeding? Are Herpe outbreaks in the colon dangerous? I have not been sexually active for a long time, and never knew I had herpes and it just began occurring. I had horrible GI problems and sever GI bleeding off and on for 8 years, I had surgery and thank God I am healed, but all of a sudden I started having herpes.
Avatar n tn 3) Pooping and peeing in public will influence how you are accepted by others resulting in devastating social problems that will effect your family, life and career - forever. 4) That this urge to poop and/or wet panties will start to go away as you get older and find the extra time and effort involved is not worth the results. (It can increase if under stress or bored.) 5) And, "By the way, don't spoil our floors or furniture!
1017043 tn?1251234620 does anyone know what could cause circulation problems in feet and hands of an infant? i know this is not related to pregnacy but this is the only place that i can chat with others .my son just turned 1 on the 14 th and when i took him to see the doc for a well child visit she was concerned about how red his hands were and how purple looking his feet looked. she told me that if i didn't see any changes to make him an appt. so i didn't see a change and made him a appt. on mon.
Avatar n tn there could be loads of different reasons for the above and i am sure all treatable but i would think if u have not been a trip to your doc would be in order.
Avatar f tn There may be no problem with having one bowel movement in two weeks. I have one to two bowel movements a day, I take probiotics that survive my stomach acid and make it to my intestines ready to digest food.It took me 5 to 7 days of probiotics to train my digestive system to perform as mentioned.I eat about the daily requirement of fiber a day: 35 grams.
Avatar f tn It is well known that vitamin B12 deficiency causes developmental delay and brain atrophy in infants and children. This has been reported in medical journals and texts since the 1960’s. The medical community (pediatricians, neurologists) is not routinely checking children who present with the first concern of developmental delay for B12 deficiency which is problematic and a clinical error.
Avatar n tn When it cures me, I may request your help in spreading the word to others on this site with colon problems. After all, who wouldn't want to share a cure? :) Thanks for all the advice and help, I'll let you know how the detox program works!
Avatar m tn For the past couple years I have a problem that comes and goes and is really bothering me. I notice I get horrible pains in my bowel which quickly turns into golden diarrhea and leaves me on the toilet in pain for a good 15mins and back and forth to the toilet for several hours. Avatar f tn It will remain in baby's system. Especially if you took them for more than 2 weeks. You need to let your OB know even if it leaves both systems because if you we're abusing them and taking them for a long period of time we can't diagnose the outcome. No judgement, but please for the sake of your innocent baby tell your Dr. You made the right decision to stop taking them. Best wishes!
Avatar f tn Although you are very young to have developed colon cancer, there are cases where this disease has been noted in patients of your (and younger) age and, from the search I suggested above, colon cancer will be mentioned. I'm not trying to scare you - but, in similar postings, quite often the patient asks "could I have colon cancer"?
