I am 45 year old male with constipation and mild right side abdominal pain, i also have experieinced pretty significant lower right side back pain but recently have moved so i do not know if the back pain and constipation are related. I had a colonoscopy 2 years ago after a postive FOB test and only one small polyp was found that was benign. My appetite is good and other than the change in boewl habits during the last few weeks i have no other symptoms that could be considered colon cancer like.
I am 22 years old 210 lbs, 5' 7" overweight. I exercise rarely (yes I know I need to lose wieght) and don't eat healthily. I have been having pain in my lower back, just above my hips (it also migrates to my hips, lower legs, and mid back). When I was in the 8th grade, I thought it would be fun to jump from 12 feet. When I landed I felt a ripping feeling in that area of my back. I thought I had ripped my pants till I tried to stand.
A very large fibroid can cause similar problems but you'd be having very heavy periods too. I would insist on a transvaginal ultrasound to look for an ovarian cyst. That is an easy one to rule out and the symptoms definitely match.
Ovarian cysts can cause bladder and bowel problems. In my case it was due to the size of the ovarian cyst and the pressure it was placing on other organs. In my daughter's case, the abdominal pain with the ovarian cyst was severe and caused nausea. By the time we discovered that an ovarian cyst was causing the pain, she had become constipated, which added to her irregularity and discomfort. Like MarieMichele, before my ovarian cyst was removed, I had to eat very small amounts.
For some time, I have been having problems with leaking stool and pain in my right side. For the past couple of weeks I have been having episodes of feeling like gas is going to pass and then I have an explosive dark watery diarrhea. Afterwards, I will have lower back pain throughout the next 12-24 hours. Could this be Crohns, colitis or cancer?
m really wondeing is if insomnia can really cause all of these symptoms, or if I should be worried about something deeper, like drugs or serious health problems. He has had a host of health problems, including an enlarged heart and even early colon cancer (which was treated). He also has had a past history of using steroids.
I would appreciate any kind of insight I can get, even if I need to post this question elsewhere. All of this is really starting to worry me.
I think it would be wise for her to make an appointment with a GI specialist. While colon cancer is very rare in people under 40, it's not uncommon. Those symptoms can be a sign of things other than colon cancer such as IBS, Crohns, or ulcerative colitis. The bump on the abdomen definatly should be checked out. Keep us posted on how she's doing!
about a half a dozen times in the past 6 months blood is always in my urine but they say they cant find the cause ..now my lower right side front and back has stabbing almost labor pain ..and I can't control my bladder ..I aldo have severe pain in my thighs and hips the E.R. never gives me answers ir even really try to find out ehats going on because I dont have insurance !! What do I do have 3 kids and I feel like death warmed over...
Hi, I just remembered something else that sounded a bit familiar to me. I also had severe bloating because I had developed cysts on my uterus, benign fibris cysts years ago, which caused a great deal of pain in my abdomen as well. I'm sure female problems can cause swelling due to water retention. I hope you are feeling better...
I'm having pain down the right side of my body in what seems like the whole of the ascending colon. It's hard to explain, there's also a pulse like pain that starts around my hip bone or the end of the ascending colon that travels up the ascending colon. I'm very uncomfortable after a meal and I can feel a little relief after I been to the toilet.
i can only share some thoughts..having an amoebae bears the same symptoms..u can feel pain in terms of bowel.but u yes,u should worry..for as cancer is genetic..should care to go to doc.and have serious examination..anyways,if something found on ur colon,it can easily dis appear through technology.good luck and wish there's nothing really serious on it...
Unfortunately after a few days I experienced a bad blockage in the small colon not far from the stoma, it was established that the cause of this was the stitching put in during the repair, which was not allowing the waste to flow freely - my surgeon had been trying to make it as tight as possible to avoid any recurrence of the hernia. I was never told, nor did I ask, about what happened to waste caught up in the blockage.
I had a 24 hour episode of the most intense abdominal pain in my life, although labor pain was similar. The feeling of extreme pressure and stabbing type pains radiated throughout, front to back. The pains were even present in my vagina. I am 68 so it had nothing to do with mentrual pain. I had a CT scan and colonoscopy and the only possible cause was a 8" narrowing in the colon. I also have Diverticulitis but Dr didn't think that caused the pain.
