I have sharp pain under and on the outside of my right breast. I haven't seen an ob/gyn about it as it just started today (wed 25th) so not sure if I need to yet. It doesn't hurt just when using the muscle or lifting. It hurts on and off. It gets really bad when laying on my right side so sleeping is hard. It eases slightly when laying on my left but not much. Is this something that I should get checked immediately or is it just muscle pain?

Hi, For almost two weeks now I've had this strange pain in my chest - under my right breast and armpit. The pain worsens when I inhale, sneeze, cough, laugh or move in a certain way. I started getting this sharp localized pain in my lower right chest area. Right undermy right breast(I mean right where my breast ends).It is so painful. It started out just hurting when I coughed ..but now it hurts all the time. It is the worst when I sneeze, cough, breath deeply or move in certain positions.But it is a constant pain..it doesn't go away at all. Luckily I'm hardly coughing at all anymore.I'm also getting very light headed especially apon standing .What could this be??

I am 21 years old and I just recently discovered a lump on the underside of my right breast, it is on the inner side like right against my chest bone. There are no signs of a lump on the outside no redness or anything like that no sign at all, and it only hurts when i push on it. The lump only feels like about the size of a dime and is hard. I just finished my monthly period. I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not. Can anyone help me?

My pain is dull and constant in the URQ, sometimes it feels worse (more sharp) right under my ribs on the right side, close to the center. But the dull pain is there always. Blood and urine came back ok but I was petrified to go for scan. Three days ago,(this has been going on for 2 months I got up some courage and went to the E.R. I didn't tell the er doc that I saw a doctor previosly. He also ordered blood, urine and sonogram of URQ.

It was very strenuous, The next morning I noticed the right side of my chest hurt. Right under my right breast. If I push on the area it is sensitive and when I breath deep it hurts, and if I get up from lying down it hurts. I am able to move around but it's a constant aching. I was told if I pulled a chest muscle it can take up to 6 weeks to heal.

I am not yet diagnosed, but I get it with different type sensations i.e. right rib discomfort, sharp right rib pain, sharp right chest pain, and also the sensation where I cannot get my breath, like something sitting on my rib cage. Also when I am walking for exercise sometimes I get to the point where I cannot catch my breath. Sometimes also after going to bed at night, I will notice that I cannot breathe in and out with a full inspiration/expiration.

Hi, About a week ago, I had trouble sleeping on my chest my right breast was very painful to lie on also at the same time a felt a funny tingling pain in my right foot on the inner side. Since then my breast pain in more promenant and the other day I had tingling pains in my arm and my leg and felt a gland in my groun come up. Now im just getting pain in the the right breast. Im really worried now as think it is all conected. If i press under my arm I can fell a small lump which hurts to press.

I have been experiencing a dull pain and tightness on the side and under my left breast. At times I'll get the slightest sensation of being out of breath. I've been suffering for about 4 months now with pain on the left side of chest under the breast. The pain comes on suddenly very sharp, then it dulls to when I take a breath. I am 40yr.old female. Pain on left side of chest (just under breast) began 1yr ago, sporadically, not necessarily during exercise (sometimes middle of the night), lasting for minutes to hours. Progressively more frequent. No significant SOB or fatigue. Edema in extremeties also comes and goes. Recent ultrasound revealed 1) Hypokenisis of left AND right ventricle, 2) mild pulmonary hypertension and 3) mitral regurgitation.

Pain killers actually do NOT take the pain away and its miserable for years now, finally after 2 yrs new symptoms have came into play and it almost seems as if something is just attacking the whole right side of my body?

To make it worse, I have pain in my right hand side rib, just under my breast. When I cough or lay down or move my right hand side, my rib hurts. My stomach pain and nausea has reduced but the pain in the rib is still there when cough to clear throat or moving. Can you please advise.

Hello, When I am at rest I constantly have chest discomfort….Left side under breast. Pain does not travel anywhere else. Parked right there. I have been to the ER on more than one occasion and they seem to dismiss the discomfort as non cardiac chest pain after running the standard ECG, Chest X-ray and blood work. Even had a stress test a year ago (nuclear) and that too came up fine. Here’s where things get weird….When I exercise I do not have any pain whatsoever.

I'm having the same pain in my left side under my breast. I will get the pain out of nowhere. Sometimes when I'm laying down or sleeping, others when I"m walking. I have never before had a serious health problem and It scares me that something might be wrong. By any chance would anyone know whats wrong and if it is serious?

the pain was more under my right ribcage, but radiated up to my shoulder....also i had a really bad muscle spasm one time where i thought i had a puntured lung becouse everytime i would breathe in i would get a really sharp pain, it turned out i had a deep muscle injury from doing gymnastics on the parrallel bars!

I was so happy to come across this board because the story of Jane I believe it was sounds exactly like mine. I am 25 years old and have been suffering with pain in the left side of my chest right under my breast for about 3 years now. The pain is absolutely horrible and almost unbearable at times. I also can only sleep on my back at night. I have been to many doctors and physical therapists who either dismiss me all together or try to send me to psychiatrists.

I too have side pain under my lower ribs on my right side. I've so far taken acid reflux meds , an Ultra Sound, and an Upper Endoscopy. The Acid Reflux meds didn't help/hurt the pain, the Ultra Sound came back normal, and the Upper Endoscopy came back normal as well. The pain started after I got Mono and Hep A (caused by the mono, and has now cleared up) about 7 months ago and has been getting worse every month.

How old is ur DD?...Were u breast feeding her? I am only guessing but could it be something to do with breast feeding or a result of not doing it....something u should try asking ur OBGYN about and see if it could be related.....

around my second trimester i started to feel the pain more sharper and experianced lymph nodes pain under armpit,under breast and at the sides of it.then around the 3rd trimester it came back much stronger and including pain at the neck,back and sholder..now and i have this pain all over my left side from head to toe(head,behind ear,neck,shoulder,arm,joints,knees,chest,abdomen,back) i had an ultra sound but the doctor told me i have normal breast tissue and no lumps even under the arm..
