I am 40yr.old female. pain on left side of chest (just under breast) began 1yr ago, sporadically, not necessarily during exercise (sometimes middle of the night), lasting for minutes to hours. Progressively more frequent. No significant SOB or fatigue. Edema in extremeties also comes and goes. Recent ultrasound revealed 1) Hypokenisis of left AND right ventricle, 2) mild pulmonary hypertension and 3) mitral regurgitation.
Her pelvis is also slightly misaligned on the left hand side, resulting in an increase in pressure to the left rib cage. The chest pain she experienced was actually a result of her spine being slightly curved. Something that unfortunately was never noticed till now and she's in her late twenties. The spine being curved put pressure on her chest wall, leading to it being inflamed and eventually also some ribs becoming inflamed, which was the severe pain she experienced more recently.
Have been in antibiodics for almost 10 days now, there has been no change in the swollen lymph nodes, but about 1 week ago I began having chest pain above my left breast, pretty much radiating throughout the whole left side of my chest. It is not painful.. more of a dull annoying ache that wont go away. I have been severely stressed out over the past year about my health, and it seems no matter how much I try to calm myself down and not think the worst..
For about a week or so, I've had sharp pain in the left side of my chest. It kills me to cough, & hurts when I breath. It also hurts if I push on it. Can anyone help on what it could be?? Should I see a doctor? Where should I go if I have no insurance, but need to see a doctor?
About 5 days ago, I started experiencing stabbing chest pains on my right side under my breast. I am a 56 yr old breast cancer survivor (left breast) of 3 years. The pain is sometimes accompanied with heartburn but not always. It wakes me up during the night and if I roll around onto the other side, it subsides somewhat (but not completely).

Hi, I'm a 28 year old female and offlate (about 2 weeks) I've been feeling this vibration on the left side of my chest. I had a blood test two weeks ago to check my cardiac enzymes, and the doctor told me they were fine. My heart rate runs in the 80-90 range and my bp runs a little on the high side at 130/90. I am 36 yrs old and for the past hour I have been having a sharp, tight pain on the left side of my chest above my breast and the pain goes all the way down my left arm to my fingers. Both of my parents died of heart attacks, what should I do?
because it doesn't hurt nor does it interfere with anything, I can just feel it and I know its there. So it's mostly on the left side, Under the breast and also right above the left breast it feels bruised. I have a pinching sensation that comes on and off around my elbow. The bruised feeling above my breast tends to be there more often then the feeling below my breast. I'm just wondering are these signs that are possibly leading up to a heart attack ?
Hi I have a pain just slightly below my colar bone, just about above my breast on the top of my left side. This is a aching pain which has been then for a few days. It feels like constant heartburn, and when I breath it aches. It not painful just uncomfortable, and makes me feel abit slow.
All came back well but during that testing I developed a pain under my left breast. It came and went, never very sharp but dull ache. My PCP did a full work up, sonogram of my upper ab., chest Xray, spine xray.... all came back well. Then she went on to have a chest CT Scan with contrast (about 8 months ago) and after that a thoracic MRI. She said all came back good except for a slight slipped disc in my neck.... She said it very well could be stress and psychosomatic pain.

I have been getting EXTREME pain on the left side of my chest, just above my breast. I have had EEG and EKG's done for prior medical conditions and they all came back normal. At my last admission my doctor found a slight heart murmur. Could these be related? I need to know for certain what these possibilities could be before going back to the doctor because of my negative tests. I am in so much pain. Please help.
im a 27yr old male. ive been gaving chest pains, pain in left arm, strange twitching is different parts of my body, mild fever, cough, racing heart rate, etc... this all started about 5 months ago and the first symptoms sent me to the ER. since then all the doctors basically look at me like im crazy and all tests come back normal. i went to one cardiologist who told me that i had a "lazy heart valve" and gave me 25m of atenolol.
Hi, I'm 38 female and experiencing short pains on the left side of my chest above the breast, but occuring very spontaneously, twice or three times a day and not necessarily after strenuous exercise. It occured even when I wasn't doing anything. The pain wasn't sharp, but more of discomfort. My family doctor said it isn't heart attack symptoms and can be due to muscular pain. My questions are does muscular pain occur so frequently and what other possibilities besides that?
He looked at me and in an exclamatory voice said You definitely are having breast pain from the muscles in your chest wall!! Then he went on to explain how pain can radiate and how the nerves are affected and how the breasts are included in the whole scheme of things. My mammograms are clear. I do get microcalcifications, had a few removed, henceforth scars, but no cancer, thank God. Have no fear, this is normal for fibro sufferers.
About 4 months ago I was making something for my son's preschool class when I got a sharp pain in my left side of my chest. For the next 6 hours I had pain, sweating, trouble breathing and waves of weakness and chills. I went to my primary doc the next day. EKG: normal / chest xray: normal He sent me for an ctscan: normal, except small nodule on lung. Two weeks later I started to feel the same thing again and I went to the ER.
I just began having a sharp pain on my left side under my breast(not part of the tissue though) and above the rib. It hurts really bad and I can't even breathe without it causing me a ton of pain. Have no insurance and can't go to Dr. Help please.
I have logged on for the first time Noticed a number of comments re problems with left armpit(lump) and pain in left breast. I have had the same problem for about two years. Of recent weeks the breast pain has increased. Last week I was sent for an Ultra Sound, await the results. Over the years I have surgery for the removal of benign lumps and in 1982 had a reduction. With all of these adhesions it was difficult to do a self examination so had regular mamograms. All showed no problems.
Recently I have been having pain in my upper left back and side, and just below my left breast. These pains are always sharp and stabbing. They can last anywhere between seconds and minutes. They leave me feeling exhausted, sometimes makes breathing difficult, and make me dizzy. I have visited a cardiologists who ran an EKG, a stress test and a halter and all results came back within normal limits. Despite this i still worry because the pain is persistent. He said Pots syndrome was unlikely.
it never really went away and is now getting worse that ever, and i have now developed a rash above and below my breast on my left side. have been told today that it is not pleurisy but it a viral infection, but surely this can't be right if symptoms have lasted over a year?
