Bumps under tongue treatment

Common Questions and Answers about Bumps under tongue treatment

bump

I have red bumps under my tounge and two that are behind my lower bottom teeth on the gums, when i went to the dentist 4 months ago they took a picture of one of them behind my lower teeth, now im starting to get them under my tounge, he didn't say what it was though. I heard you can get warts in your mouth, but they dont look anything like the pictures online, what could they be?
I notice red spots that come and go under my tongue, called the ventral area. they look like red spots. nervous and dont know what they can be. i have around 3 spots now and one of them look like it was irrirated. i was at the dentist yesterday and noticed it when I got home.
Long story short- I found a doctor who finally treated me for Lymes with Doxycycline and I low and behold, I got better and consequently--no more orange tongue (it's been a year since treatment). The orange, I believe to likely have been from one of one of the bacteria I had contracted from a tick bite. As I grew more and more ill, my skin under tones also changed to orangish/copper like color (enough to have had to change the colors of my makeup).
it work for awhile still I stay with soft foods.Off treatment little over 2 months peg.and rivb.Brushing my teeth is the worst because of my tongue I keep changing toothpaste.I'll have to try that magic mouthwash.
I had only a little bit of white coating early in tx, but have always gotten a very sore tongue, with horribly painful bumps, from the interferon/ribavirin aspect of tx. Try to drink even more water, and carry water with you at all times. My dentist advised using Biotene mouthwash and it helps a LOT. In some stores they also carry Biotene chewing gum, which is great to have with you when you are away from home (but be sure to carry your water bottle too). Good luck!
I used 1% hydrocortisone on my lips and that has made the bumps smaller but my tongue condition seems to be getting worse. What can it be? And who should I visit: doctor or dentist? Someone told me it could be an infection trying to get out of my body. Could that be true? Could it be a vitamin deficiency? What can it be related to? I'm an otherwise healthy 25 year old that eats right and exercises. Thanks for your help!!!
And my tongue swells randomly when it rains and under my tongue tends to swell as well. I take zyrtec everynight but it does'nt seem to ward off these horribe sinus infections. I even have to use an inhaler the first few days of the sinus infection. I try to be healthy but I keep getting them.Im only a junior now but I cant deal with these infections anymore.
I did get a few of thoes bumps you get on your tongue also. It also got sore like when we were kids and got thoes giant sweetarts and licked them til our tongue was sore LOL My dentist called in some magic mouthwash. It works ok, it taste nasty and it doesn;t last very long. Then I went in to see the dentist to get them cleaned.I said my mouth hurts in the corners he said you have a fungus---yeast infection. He said I know this sounds gross but rub some monistat in the corners of your mouth.
i am a little nervous because of what i have read...........i have previously taken the ribovarin/interferon treatment with no success. I am ready to try again, but would like to hear more about the side effects others have dealt with on the inciveck.............i understand not everyone goes through the same thing but all feedback is welcome. Thank you.
I have small ball-like growths under my tongue. They are tiny and I've not noticed them before. I also have 'bumps' in my mouh which appear to be white and my throat feels narrow. I have a tongue stud but i've only just seen these things so I doubt I'm having a reaction because of the stud. Any suggesions of what it could be, who to get tested by and any treatment ?
Finger-like projections on the surface of the tongue (papillae) may be lost, causing the tongue to appear smooth. Tongue color changes (usually dark "beefy" red). Some Causes: Poor hydration and low saliva in the mouth may allow bacteria to grow more readily. Disorders such as iron deficiency anemia, pernicious anemia and other B-vitamin deficiencies. I do have elevated TgAbs (thyroid) but am not on treatment due to doctors thinking a TSH value of 3.70 doesn't warrant treatment. (Others would disagree but I am not their patient.) I'm wondering if these things are associated but if not, what these lumps could be? I googled this and it seems relatively common.
I noticed a small white spot on the side of my tongue, about halfway between the tip & base of the tongue. It appears to be under the skin, unlike any canker sore I have ever had. There is some pain that is similar to a canker, but not as prevalent. If I run my finger over it, I can feel that it is slightly raised, but (again) not as much as a canker. I've attached a photo. It is kind of hard to see, but this is the best I could get. Thank you for any information.
my symptoms how now changed to a tingling burning sensation under my right tongue that is constant. Also the feeling of swallowing and ear discomfort and around that area. I have been told it is viral, irritated by weather and acid reflux. I have had all my blood work done, ultrasound on my neck and endoscopy. All have been cleared, I am apparently healthy apart from the acid reflux. I feel I have been incorrectly diagnosed.
also on the same side, there seems to be 3 or 4 bumps on my tongue about 1 cm away fromthe bite. There is no puss coming out though. Is my tongue infected? Also, I bit my tongue while having lunch, then at night after about 10 hours I felt a pain in my neck under the jaw on the same side of the bite...The next day I woke up and the pain in my neck/throat was worse and I couldnt swallow easily. Now it is easing a bit. Is this related to the biting incident?
I started out with an area on the side of my tongue that had a burning sensation, then it spread under my lip and cheek area and across the palate. I have bumps across my palate that do not seem to go away. Some days seem worse than others. I have had basic labs done, a colonoscopy, endoscopy, and swabs to test for thrush and bacteria. Everything comes back normal. They keep saying that it is geographic tongue. I disagree, because my mouth and gums burn. Please give me some advie!
I always thought that this was a symptom of herpes (even though I was suffering pain - and pain does not usually accompany herpes outbreaks). My tongue symptoms are worse when I was under stress, and after I ran the Chicago Marathon my tongue broke out with about a dozen such white "spots" that were very painful indeed.
One common cause for white bumps on tongue is yeast infection. In this condition white bumps may appear more like white patches that are painful when touched. White little bumps can also be caused by an inflammatory condition called oral lichen planus. The best treatment for this bump on the side of your tongue depends on the underlying cause of this problem. If it is due to inflamed papillae and lichen planus it may heal on its own otherwise you may need antibiotics or oral antifungal agents.
I keep getting these small bumps that can only be felt by my tongue. They are under my tongue in the corners at the base of the gums and on the inside of my "Lower" lip. The worry is that it is some sort of cancer. I was a closet smoker (one pack a week or less) over the years, on and off, and occasionally burned a little reefer. If I put some rubbing alcohol on in it go away like magic but the skin feels a little puckered afterwords, that doesn't bother me.
I've had a swollen tongue, and little bumps on my tongue, which after a few days, went to not being able to taste anything what so ever and I'm worried that it might be an infection or something. I went to the doctor's and they took some cultures, but I want some kind of assurance until I get my results back.
My biggest complaint was I developed tongue ulcers from the peg and a terrible skin rash as well that I'll probably have forever (the tongue bumps went away as soon as I stopped the peg). I'm only telling you all of this because inevitably - as hard a road as it was...I was diagnosed stage 3 and did NOT have time to wait and see if easier things might come down the road. That is why we all sort of stress having a biopsy - it really is important to know where you stand on things.
-White tongue -Bumps in the tongue (front part) I have been diagnosed with oral thrush :( Have you had an oral swab to confirm if you have oral thrush or not?
My siser has a 3 1/2 month old son. She discovered that he has developed tiny white bumps on his gums. At first she assumed he may be teething however the bumps are not where you would expect teeth to sprout. This seems to make him colicky and he suddenly is waking every two hours again. At first I thought this may be thrush but she said that the bumps are hard. Anyone have any ideas?
They said they had a patient who had them so bad that he had to STOP treatment. They are VERY common and caused by the IFN (I thought it was the Riba) They told me to mix equal parts of Malox and Children's Liquid Benedryl and put it on the tongue with a q-tip. Since I have tried every single thing on the market I didn't have much hope at all. I did it for two days. The sores that would NOT go away, even putting on straight peroxide, are GONE. Been gone for a week!
it sounds like a nutritional defiency. people often lose theyre bodys vitamins afte taking certain medications . and when under stress. i would say to everyone take a multivitamin with good doses of ALL b-vitaamins (prefrably 50mg+ ) and to take a good seperate dose of vitamin b-12 ,folic acid and iron . and if need be ask your doctor for b12 defiency tests and maybe injections.
However last 2 months I got these little white bony gum bumps on gum on my lower jaw. They havent gone away. Anyone have this?? Im 6 weeks post tx. They dont hurt but they are raised and feel uncomfortable and sometimes depending what I eat it feels odd?? If anybody had this please let me know. OK, I have kissed and performed oral sex on about 3 women in the past 2 months. I now have a bunch of small bumps on my lingual frenulum (the part under my tongue where the spit glands are). They look like a bunch of spider eyes. They are painless and most of them are the color of my mouth. They were a bit red yesterday, but not firetruck red. They haven't secreted anything, yet. I'm not sure if they ever will secrete anything.
I have red bumps all on my chest, back and neck on the front. They usually are only under my clothing. Thought it may be from my detergent so I switched to unscented but no luck. I finally went to the doctor and he sent me to walgreens to buy this lotion called AMLAXIN XL. It burns for a few minutes but their usually all gone within an hour. The tube of lotion is $29.99 but well worth it. It keeps my skin moist and for the most part, bump free. I use it twice a day. It works soo good!
It's not like a rash, there's no redness except when I've scratched, the bumps aren't red, they are skin colored - it just looks like little fever blisters or something. When they break they are just filled w/ clear fluid and stop itching. They seem to itch more when my hands are warm (my hands are ususally cold - I have raynauds) like while I'm watching tv all covered up. Actually it started a few weeks ago w/ my big toe on top.
I first had a reaction about a month ago. Small, clear bumps that itch like crasy on my fingers and palm. They are very uncomfortable and I, like a lot others, tried to pop them hoping for some relief. This only made the areas sore. The bumps started on my middle finger under a cheap "gold" fashion ring that I had been wearing before spreading to the others and my palm.
