This morning I woke up with several painful white bumps on my tongue. When I look at them in the mirror they look like an infected taste bud or something like that. Well, they have been giving me some really bad pain so i keep biting my tongue where they are just to try and get the pain to go away (obviously not smart). Later that day I come to find out that I have two more of these bumps on my tongue that hurt just as bad.
I have the really painful whit bumb on the tip and sides of my tongue. I assumed it was from acid or drinking too much soda or something but when I looked it up everywhere i looked it said it could have something to do with STD's or herpes or HPV and its really freaking me out! I got them about three days ago. I think I recall getting something like this before but I'm not quite sure. I'm not having any other gum pain or mouth pain its just the bumps.
In the last few years I have had tiny white bumps appear on the tip of my tongue and my tongue appears swollen. In the past I have taken benadryl and that has taken care of it. They seem to come more often now. I keep up on my teeth cleanings and fillings if needed. I also suffer now from hypothyroidism due to the irradation of my thyroid due to hyperthyroidism. Could that be the cause?

I remember, while visiting my family and friends, I began to feel an immense pain emanating from the sides of my tongue, but there was no physical sign of any ailment. Then, I found a white cluster of tiny bumps on the tip of my tongue a few weeks later. It was slightly painful, but the sight of it was more alarming than how it felt. I have had this recurring problem for the past couple of months that involves a period of about two weeks where I have no issues, then the rest of the month i have either small white bumps on my tongue, that are quite painful, or one large one that is raised. my mouth has been swollen and white bumps have appeared on and under my tongue. i have also sores of some sort now on my bottom lip. my throat is very sore with red bumps in the back and its painful to eat or drink anything. i dont kno whats going on and i am very nervous what it could be..can you please help?
In case it wasn't clear in my original post above, I plan to tell my partner what's happening with my mouth. Should he go on Valtrex just in case he's been exposed to HSV through me, whether orally or genitally? Would it even help him? I feel so guilty that he might get this even though I thought I was being careful and honest. What can I do to make it better? Is it too late? Ughhhh :( Really sad.
I have these weird, raised, and various sized bumps on my tongue towards the back and on both sides of my tongue, on the lower half. My tongue feels swollen on both lower sides of my tongue towards the bottom... It is somewhat painful... Just very irritating. Please, someone tell me what is wrong!! I am a very paranoid person in nature and the slightest oddity of my body stresses me out. All I can say for sure is that these bumps are not normal and werent there in the past.
there are usually 2 noticeable veins that run down the underside of the tongue. on one of my veins at the tip of the vein, i noticed a small red bump/flap. it lay flat down but you could raise the flap up. It is not painful when i don't move my tongue or touch the bump/flap. but when i do touch of move it, it is very painful. i'm only 15 so do you think this is anything serious?

For the past 2 months now, every so often I have little white bumps (they look a little like cankers) that flare up on the tip of my tongue. They are not painful but just irritating and a little sensitive. Sometimes many bumps flare up and other times, maybe one or two flare up. Along with the bumps, I will get a bit of a scratchy throat. It does not hurt but like the little bumps, it just feels a bit irritating.
In addition, my tongue has a white coating. (Nothing to unusual about it.) I had oral sex about 8 weeks ago. They showed up about 2-3 weeks later. The doctor does not seem to be to concerned about it but it is really making me worried if it is HIV. I keep reading that HIV is very highly unlikely to be transmitted via oral sex but everywhere else I read that you REALLY need to be tested for it. What else can it be?
