Avatar f tn It would help if I had a list of foods to go grocery shopping for, and what I could or couldn't eat.
7110266 tn?1392136011 I hate going to the grocery store while pregnant, everything looks so flipping good and I can't just stick to what is on my list. I spend way to much money on nothing. I need a personal shopper!
Avatar f tn If a certain food spikes you up say over 140 you might try a lesser amount of that food or just eliminate it from your diet. It is not really possible to make a list of foods to eat and not eat because we are all different. But a diet of protein and lots of fresh vegies, small amounts of fruit and small amounts of carbs should do best.
1536593 tn?1292557199 (I got tired of labels, so I started eating the whole foods type of diet that looks a lot more like stuff our great grandparents and great, great grandparents recognized as food. Much of this is in bulk foods section--no labels involved there. It's an option that is a healthy option that actually simplifies shopping and, thus, simplifies life. You don't have to do this all at once, but it really is worth it for folks with Tyramine Intolerance and other food intolerances.
Avatar m tn More info: i'm using the diet diary app for google chrome.

Avatar f tn Many types of diet sodas contain aspartame which is very bad for you. Diet sodas also make you want to eat more sugary type treats. Do they make you fat? Well, not directly, but they can contribute to weight gain by making you want to eat more food. Personally, I've given up all types of sodas, even gingerale which used to be one of my favorite sodas. I drink a lot of water instead of pop. Some fruit juices , coffee and tea. That's it.
Avatar f tn I am having a problem with following any type of diet...Not sure what to eat. I pretty much eat whatever I want eventhough I know I have to change that. Can anyone give me a briefing on what you eat? Do you have to eat all organic? What type of sugar, is equal ok?, Do I reallyy have to give up coffee??? I don't like this part at all!! Does anyone have a basic quick list to refer to for me??
Avatar f tn I have been looking into this blood type diet myself being a blood type O but recently I have become concerned if I suffer manic episodes or am bipolar. Certain periods in my life become notably amazing. Usually when Im relatively lean I find myself with too much energy than I know what to do with! My social life improves dramatically! I quit 2 different jobs during these periods of "high". I almost become contagious during these periods wishing I could feel like this forever!
1026267 tn?1257591273 I don't know if almond or rice milk have the iodine in them or not, but there is one other thing that might be of help here. I found out that people with type "O" blood should not use coconut or palm anything, even the healthy extra virgin kind. I also found out that dairy isn't really good for type "O" people either.
Avatar n tn I love this question. I also can have a fixed grocery budget which I means that I have to be careful how I spend. It's important to have a list when you go to the grocery store. Food companies spend a lot of money on marketing and place things just so at the grocery store so that we are tempted. I fall for it very easily myself and spend money I don't need to. You can look at your weekly ads for the grocery store or two you are most likely to go to.
230262 tn?1316645934 s another Q for you guys- do you ever lose your grocery list and then end up in a panic in the store trying to remember what was on your list?? or worse yet, you still have your list but your handwriting is so bad you cant read what you wrote and walk around looking like an idiot trying to figure it out??
Avatar f tn There are many people who swear by the Swank Diet as a cure for MS. So I would add that if it truly were a cure, most of us would be following it closely. We know there is no cure yet, but following this type of diet can't help but be beneficial to our health if you have the personal strength to be that rigid about what you eat. As always, before you start any type of diet you should consult with your doctor and make sure it won't do you any harm.
Avatar m tn s forum, Dr. Handsfield indicated there was a low risk for a child drinking milk at a grocery store with blood on it. I assume there is a difference here? I sincerely apologize again, but parental instincts/fear set in.
1303999 tn?1279581926 I did a search for drug interactions and found that hypoglygemic agents (metformin) and insulin may be diminished by certain drugs; there's a whole list of them, but thyroid hormones, is one on the list, that's why your instructions said you might have to alter your diabetes med. 898_1 -- that's interesting about metformin suppressing TSH if one has TPO antibodies.
