Plant Today went grocery shopping with the Mom and got some goodies. Some diet friendly favs. were pickles, Kraft singles, Chobani bites and split packs, Muller fruit ups, cottage doubles and tons of produce! Really feeling the nectarines and mangoes lately...also excited to try some fresh strawberries with zero cal chocolate dip, yumm!!!!!!!!!! Turned down Mcdonald's Mcafe treat for a Rockstar and feeling proud:) Keep up the good work!
Avatar n tn m no doctor, but I am Type 2 and had VERY high cholesterol, but thanks to diet and exercise I currently have my blood sugars under tight control. I do strongly suggest you find a nutritionist somewhere, if even for one visit if you have to travel far to see one (just call and let them know your situation and most nutritionists are willing to work with you, in my experience.

I go to the store and feel so overwhelmed by choices and if there is even a smidge of corn syrup or MSG in something I put it back. We end up with bare cabinets or unhealthy choices. And of course budget is a major part of this, too. SHARE YOUR SHOPPING LIST! I'd love to see them and compare. And if you want to include what's on the menu with your list, please do! Secrets, tips... whatever. I'm eager to eat them all up.

Avatar f tn If a certain food spikes you up say over 140 you might try a lesser amount of that food or just eliminate it from your diet. It is not really possible to make a list of foods to eat and not eat because we are all different. But a diet of protein and lots of fresh vegies, small amounts of fruit and small amounts of carbs should do best.

1536593 tn?1292557199 (I got tired of labels, so I started eating the whole foods type of diet that looks a lot more like stuff our great grandparents and great, great grandparents recognized as food. Much of this is in bulk foods section--no labels involved there. It's an option that is a healthy option that actually simplifies shopping and, thus, simplifies life. You don't have to do this all at once, but it really is worth it for folks with Tyramine Intolerance and other food intolerances.

The military diet does this but its only a 3 day diet, something like this would be good for me so i dont venture to other foods that arent on the list. thanks! -Kathleen Z.

Avatar f tn Many types of diet sodas contain aspartame which is very bad for you. Diet sodas also make you want to eat more sugary type treats. Do they make you fat? Well, not directly,but they can contribute to weight gain by making you want to eat more food. Personally, I've given up all types of sodas, even gingerale which used to be one of my favorite sodas. I drink a lot of water instead of pop. Some fruit juices , coffee and tea. That's it.

I'm afraid to eat !! instead of wheat bread the say white :( it is 25 mg of Phos. Barley 1/2 cup 40mg piece of salmon 279mg. a apple 15mg. this is just a example It is in everything we eat ! we drink ! I have a list of what is bad and what is better for me..but the better for me is in very small portions..
