Antihistamine and mucinex at the same time

Common Questions and Answers about Antihistamine and mucinex at the same time

antihistamine

It could be a combination of things... perhaps cigarette smoke and/or dust? I know someone who has the same problems every year when the heat is turned on in her home. Since it sounds like you don't have health insurance, I would experiment with over the counter medicines. One that comes to my mind right away is Mucinex DM. There is also Mucinex that doesn't have a decongestant added and is just the expectorant/cough suppressant along.
I also get alot of shooting pains in my head mor at the top on the side, it goes from one side one day and the other, and at the same time i get pains behind my eyes, down the side of my nose feels bunged, around my eyes feels bunged up, and when i touch my nose and face it makes it worse like i have been punched. At times i can be sat and also feel like im moving. Ringing in my ears and at times pain in my jaw, and then it all goes and comes back its driving potty, i feel like im goin potty.
Pinch your nose, slowly bend all the way down again, release your nostrils, and wait 5-10 seconds. Slowly stand all the way back up this time. Close the left nostril and blow out the open right nostril. Open the left nostril, close the right nostril, and blow gently out the open left nostril. Rinse the schmoo off of your hands. Wash your hands with soap, just to make sure they are clean. Step Three: Tilt your head back slowly, and fill both nostrils with saline solution for the third time.
It is good to read that some of you are having the same sort of thing because at times i feel like i'm going crazy and nobody is listening. Anyway, I hope everything gets better for everyone and any input would be much appreciated. Thank you and God bless...
Also, we have had a humidifier going in the living room and the bedroom where we both sleep going at all times. Still no progress. Yes, the breathing treatments do produce some good coughs with sputum, but it is minimal.
My first thought was- what the heck is going on- I have this bad sinus infection , on meds for that for 20 days- it never goes away- was told to take celexa- (which I took at the same time as the anti-biotic)- and then started having attacks, tingling in my fingers and toes, and then I am being sent to a pyschologists? for anxiety or panic disorder.??? I really hope you get better and I did go to chiropractor ( I have not been in a few months though)...maybe I should go back for a visit.
This Pranayam will help with the ear problem and relax you. The benefit is gradual, so allow time to feel the difference. Build up your timing gradually. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume after 1 minute.
He gave me 875mg of Amoxicillin-twice a day for 10 days along with ZyrtecD and Mucinex. I finished the antibiotic and one of the others at the same time. Two days later, I was still coughing--post nasal drip. I had finished all the meds so I bought some more Mucinex and started that again. In another 2 days I was still had post nasal drep so I started Claritin. I have been taking the Mucinex and Claritin for a week now and still can't get rid of the post nasal drip.
At 8pm 2/16/14 I started my quest to kill this insidious virus that has been running free since 1974-75 busily turning my health blood infused liver into a solid chunk of overdried pemmican where blood flow is suppressed and fibrous bridges and walls impede the journey of cleansing toxins from my body.
Other antihistamines and decongestants can work including Allegra-D and Zyrtec. There are also over-the-counter antihistamine and decongestant combinations that help with sinus drainage. These medicines, however, would have no direct effect on COPD – the medicines you are already taking are treatment for COPD. Question: I have emphysema and struggle with shortness of breath this time of the year due to allergies.
I have had ear pain for about two years now and finally get to see the ENT doc. It was off and on at first but now its every day, I also have ringing, hissing and when the pain is bad purring (its the only way I can describe it).The pain goes from a dull pain to a sharp stabbing pain which also increases with a headache and I also have the vertigo sometimes too. Last time I was at the doctor's she told me I had fluid in my ears and finally is sending me to the specialist.
I have searched and searched the web, but this is the first forum (let alone actual information) I've found that addresses this issue. I also have this issue. For the last several months, it has been a persistent problem. Before that, the problem was intermittent... felt like a problem in my jaw, and applying pressure (massaging) to the main muscle on the jaw seemed to help the pain. Now, as the problem is persistent, as I am feeling more and more "sluggish" by the day.
They work by stopping the spread of the virus and if you take the antiviral too late, it's too late to stop the spread, it's already happened. Here are some guidelines on helping differentiate between run of the mill colds and more serious bacterial infections: When do I need antibiotics for a cold, as an adult? Never. Are you sick with a runny nose, sore throat, cough, possibly even goey green and brown stuff coming out?
After a trip to the ER, it was assumed that I had an alergic reaction to the medicine. I stopped taking the medicine after only 3 weeks and needless to say, I am still breaking out in hives and have joint pain. I have been tested for allergies and that was negative. I have had bloodwork done and it was negative. Just wondering if anyone else was experiencing same symptoms. I am going insane trying to deal with this!
It sounds more like one of the two viruses that are making the rounds right now in the U.S. and the U.K. It starts with a sore throat and and flu like symptoms with cough. It also usually includes sinus headaches and ear pain (due to the eustachian tube getting clogged between the sinuses and the ear). Now the bad news, even after the flu like symptoms are gone, the cough and mucus want to stick around for weeks (sometimes a couple of months).
You should try steam inhalation, saline nasal drops and oral antihistamine medications for your complaints and see if it helps with the symptoms. You should see your doctor and get a clinical examination for a diagnosis and to evaluate if any investigations are required including blood tests, chest xray and CT scan of the sinuses. Are you allergic to any specific substances or have had allergic reactions in the past? You could read the following link - http://en.wikipedia.
I suspect this is a matter of balance in my system at this point since there is a flare up at the same time the last three months. I'll keep you all posted as to what I find out.....
I was getting one every night for about a week and at the same time i had the usual winter cold. Then i woke up with Tinitus and pressure behind my ears and nose, stiff kneck and shoulders, heavy head. Which spurred on more anxiety. I have completely changed my diet and reduced my weight by 11kg.
He did a CT Scan and determined I had an deviated septum. I had the surgery and It didnt work at all. I still have all the same symptons. I'am going back to him on Friday. I'am going to have him refer me to an allergist. I feel so much better reading everyones story. I was convinced for awhile I had some sort of brain tumor. Because of this I have had anxiety attacks. I was perscribed Zanax. When I'am feeling really bad I take one. Wish me luck at the ENT.
It causes me to have spasm coughing and if I cannot control this to 3 or 4 coughs my windpipe closes over making it hard to breath in or out. The last one about 2 years ago stopped me breathing in and out completely for 10 to 15 seconds and I thought I had bought it. The spasm cough causes it all and when it goes away (usually 4 to 5 days) things are relatively normal although a normal cough stays with me for weeks after.
(I've also got a 'torus' or bony lump on the roof of my mouth which appeared at the same time as the initial PND). I also agree that posture is a factor (like a previous contributor, I find that neck position can be critical, esp. at the computer). And stress certainly doesn't help - but then we all 'tighten up' when we're under stress, including the stress of a PND 'attack' ! Some of the neck/shoulder strengthening exercises my physio gave me (shrugging, stretching, shoulder rotation etc.
hello ladies, it's been a few weeks since i've posted but i've been reading posts almost daily to keep up with everyone...just need some advice at this time about safe over-the-counter medication for a REALLY sore throat...i leave for a cruise within the next 12 hours and have woken up at 4am and can barely speak due to sore throat (plus my nose is stopped up so it's harder to breathe)...
If you screw up, you have to work EXTRA hard to figure out WHY, that time, and how it could've been prevented. Yes, at first I was made fun of by the alcoholics, heroin addicts, cocaine addicts, crystal meth addicts, prescription pill addicts. At first, there was embarrassment and shame. Quickly, they realized I was in as deep as them. Except I wasn't. They realized I was in even deeper. I should have 38 days sober. But I have about 77% of that.
You're in the right place if you want off the Tramadol! You can do it! I believe in you!
I don't know what you have but I have the exact same symptoms. The spaced out part and the nausea are the worst! Sometimes it makes my heartbeat more irregular also (PVC's). Let me know if you figure out anything.
Also, we have had a humidifier going in the living room and the bedroom where we both sleep going at all times. Still no progress. Yes, the breathing treatments do produce some good coughs with sputum, but it is minimal. At day 17 I decided to change directions and stopped with the expectorant and went with suppressant (robotussin for me and Dimetapp for her and they both had exactly the same ingredients so I ditched the robotussin which tastes awful and switched to the children’s Dimetapp.
I know when I take a certain supposedly non-drowsy antihistamine it puts me straight to sleep! Utahmomma is onto a good thing with the zinc and vitamin C. She is right on the money. But it won't treat your cold/flu symptoms, just decrease the time it takes for your body to fight the infection.
I just have my meal at 830p and take the pills at 9p. There is a lot of natural fat content in some foods that do not also have the sugar that ice cream has in it (avocados for example). The combo of dairy and sugar made me sick so I had to give up the ice cream. Btw, at first I put on a few kgs but I have been slowly losing weight over the past few months and am now lighter than when I started tx. I think it all evens out and you should just eat what your body tells you.
