I bought an actual microscope set- slides and all- rather than the little ovuscope. It allows me to dry both samples at the same time. It ran me under $100.00 and works wonderfully for this! I have emphysema. i use advair twice a day and spiriva one a day. The biggest problem for me is that I always seem to havemucus build up in the mornings. My doctor has told me to try mucinex, but that doesn't seem to work all the time. So i try using albuterol in the morning to help loosen up the mucus so that I can breath better.

Mucinex just thins the mucus...an antihistamine will help prevent the mucus from being produced in the first place. Try another antihistamine...they each work differently and another one might work better for you.

He gave me 875mg of Amoxicillin-twice a day for 10 days along with ZyrtecD and Mucinex. I finished the antibiotic and one of the others at the same time. Two days later, I was still coughing--post nasal drip. I had finished all the meds so I bought some more Mucinex and started that again. In another 2 days I was still had post nasal drep so I started Claritin. I have been taking the Mucinex and Claritin for a week now and still can't get rid of the post nasal drip.

You are supposed to use mucinex but the one that ONLY has Guaifenesen--nothing with an antihistamine. I used it and I did get pregnant, but it was a chemical pregnancy--age related, nothing to do with the mucinex. Good luck!

The gurgling sounds like infection, unless it is due to the mucinex. Anything with menthol or eucalyptus in it is good to sniff and or drink if it is in tea form. Also moist heat packs on chest and back is of great help. Stay away from dairy right now. If you do need to go to clinic try to make it a neat fun experience for your daughter....peak her interest so she doesn't feel your stress and react to it. It sounds more like one of the two viruses that are making the rounds right now in the U.S. and the U.K. It starts with a sore throat and and flu like symptoms with cough. It also usually includes sinus headaches and ear pain (due to the eustachian tube getting clogged between the sinuses and the ear). Now the bad news, even after the flu like symptoms are gone, the cough and mucus want to stick around for weeks (sometimes a couple of months).

It won't hurt to start taking it now, and you should take 1 pill a day. :) You can also take Robitussin, but it's pretty much the same thing in liquid form, and you have to take it throughout the day to get your 600 mg, and it tastes rotten, so the Mucinex is the way to go. I used it with my first pregnancy and it worked!

I nursed my last bottle thru 2 cold seasons finally cutting open the plastic bottle, and literally licking the sides of it clean. The stuff is amazing, and for some reason, this type of antihistamine doesn't bother me like others do.

I am 37 weeks and i itch all the time. I can't sleep bc i itch or feel like something is crawling on me. Anyone else have this problem?

, and Feb.. The results of the bloodwork, suggest my thyroid is over produceing. T3 and T4 are high...and TSH is low. He discussed the results with my endocrinologist... and they decided to start me on 10 mg. of Tapazole. (2x/day), and increase my Toprol to 75 mg. That same bloodwork, also suggested I'm very Anemic, and we don't know yet what is causeing that. My question is... can the anemia be related to they thyroid issues... and are the headaches, as well.

I went to the doctor few days back but he prescribed me the same antihistamine which I have been taking and it hasn’t helped much. I have been conscious of what I eat and have had different categories of food just to know if one of them is causing it butto no avail.

Take tylonal cold/flu and vitamin c, and drink Orange juice and get as much sleep as you can. That's what my doctor said bc im 38 weeks and had a cold for a week. I don't know if robitussun is to good for you while your pregnant.

Ironically me and my bestfriend are expecting at the same time, people think it was planned but it really wasnt. Were across country from each other but people still seem to assume our pregnancy was a set up, we just want ppl to stop questioning things and be happy for us !

Ok, so I had my thermal shift today, and I think I O'd right on time (did trigger on Tuesday evening) on Thursday/Thursday night. I was feeling horrible cramping (someone on the forum said it was probably my follies about to rupture) and then by 8:00 pm Thursday night I felt MUCH better. So we BD that day at like 2:30 (used pre-seed for the first time), we BD the night before (wed. night) and Tuesday night. Do you think we will still have a chance?

Hi rello.. it could be the antihistamine.. it gives me the jitters.. from everything I have read about those you should not take it for more then 3 weeks without a break. a lil vics would help with the sinuses.. as for sleep maybe a nice warm bath and good book with some sleepy-time tea.. You should take some steam inhalation, saline nasal drops and oral antihistamine medications and see if it helps with your symptoms. If your symptoms still persist it would be best to consult a doctor and get a proper clinical evaluation done. You would need to rule out the other causes of breathing difficulty including asthma, chest infection, sinusitis, etc. Let us know about how you are doing and if you have any other doubts.

There are some over the counter products that can help with your symptoms until you body gets an upper hand on the virus. I will give you the branded names of the products here in the USA and and the generic name when possible (not sure if branded names are the same in UK). First product you want is Mucinex D (guaifenesin and pseudoephedrine).

I take the mucinex orally once in morning and once at night. The mucinex D is the decongestiant kind and it is for drying up the mucus where just plain mucinex has the same ingredient as robutissin and it is an expectorant. It has just the Guaifenesin as the only ingredient.

Her itching increases during the night time and it has been severe since the past 2-3 weeks. Only now we started giving her antihistamine and are concerned about the side effects. Is there any other way to stop her itching.

Now all the pollen is out and my eyes are really itchy and red and I have a hard time seeing at work. I tried taking Atarax last night to see if that would help more than Benadryl. Big mistake since I woke up broke out in bad hives. I had to wait to get home to take benadryl since I am not 100% certain that Benadryl does not give me hives. Also, I figured out I cannot even take some pills like Pepcid for heartburn because they cause hives all over me and are very itchy hives.

but my allergies are horrible at the moment. All the sneezing is not helping with my morning sickness. During my last pregancey my symptoms actually went away but not this time... my question is can i take my antihistamine? Is the box over corsous or will they harm my baby?

Mucinex and Robitussin have the same active ingredient. Mucinex just has more mg. per dose. Or you can just get the store brand. Its all the same active ingredient. Guaifenesin is what thins the mucus. I even found some at the Dollar Tree. I am starting on Clomid this cycle. TTC for a year on our own. The Dr. is putting me on 100mg. I am a little nervous. I am also on metformin. Any info on how Clomid affected you or sucess stories welcome. Baby Dust to All.
