Okay, now I think I know what you are taking, sertraline, which in the states is Zoloft. Plus your Xanax equivalent. These are medications that are often prescribed for OCD, anxiety, depression. The sertraline can have side effects. What are you feeling like? I don't want to list side affects because I don't want you to start looking for particular one. :) How much Sertraline are you taking and how much alprazolam do you take during the day?

Has anyone been on anti depressent for 25-30 years? What about anxiety medicine? Has anyone ever tried to get off of these drugs after that long, by their self?

It sounds like you may have a little depression going on along with anxiety. Yes, those can be anxiety symptoms. There is such a long list of them. I can't tell you what to do, but you might want to think about a longer acting anti anxiety med. Xanax is great for panic attacks. It can be addicting and it does'nt stay in your system very long. When you start an antidepressant it can take a few days to a few weeks to get over those terrible side effects.

Can anyone tell me if there are any anxiety drugs out there that will not affect the liver? I believe I am in dire need of something, but I don't know what is safe. I am not in treatment yet. playing the wait to see the hepatologists game. vl of 10 mill. ast 95 alt 154 very scared about all this.

I have been seeing a psychiatrist for it but anti-depressants don't touch the panic or anxiety and the only temp relief I get is from the 2x's a day xanax I take but these only last for about 4 hours. Before my numerous hep c treatments I never experienced panic or anxiety and don't no what to do next . I can't live like this. I just found out that ultram combined with anti D's can cause all sorts of problems, seizures being one of them. Fibromyalgia diagnosis this week and my doc gave me a script for 100 with a refill. Pharmacy would not fill it because I am on zoloft. A google search confirms this. So the doc ended up calling in darvocet which has acetaminaphin in which I would rather not take . I did try to get the pharm to fill the ultram as I have a dog that takes it.

If someone can take a daily anti depressant why cant they take a daily anti anxiety med?I personally cant take antidepressants im to sensitive to their side effects and they make me worse than the horrible generalized anxiety that i already suffer so horribly everyday from or believe me i would take them and yes ive tried several and gave them all enough time to build up or do something besides make me 10 times worse.

My wife has had problems with stomach upset, I think it was from the anxiety med, but it could be due to the anti-depression med, I can ask if it would be helpful to you to know. I am sure the anxiety med makes her tired. I do believe that both anxiety and depression medications take time to work, that is they don't make one feel better the first day, or even the first week.

I just read a whole list of drugs NOT to give your dog. My 4-yr old 9 lb Shih Tzu has separation anxiety and my vet prescribed xanax for her. He also said that sometimes, along with the xanax, paxil (human form of both drugs) is given. I have a question for those of you that can't take Anti-inflammatory drugs, my nerve dr wanted me to try them when I first started seeing him, it started with Nap and don't remember the rest and my knee is hurting so I don't want to get up lol Anyway I tried to take them for 3 days and they KILLED my stomache. Hi, I posted a while back about having PVCs and flutters. After a 30 day event Moniter I was told that I have PACs, PVCs, and about 6,000 a day. That seems like a very scary number to me, but my cardiologist said it was still a low number. I have a lot of anxiety about this, and he prescribed me an anti-arrythmia drug to take as needed since I mentioned I'm feeling long runs of the palps happening on and off for hours sometimes. I'm already on a beta blocker.
