Avatar f tn Hello All, With interest growing in obtaining generic Sofosbuvir and Harvoni from India there is a concern, whether justified or not, that the drugs received may not be genuine or may even contain harmful substances. To address this concern it would be great if there were some facility where a sample pill could be sent off and tested, both for authentication and for contaminants.
Avatar m tn A retrospective study was carried on Jun 1st 2001 to Feb 28th 2002 at a tertiary care liver speciality hospital located in south India. The previously enrolled viral hepatitis patient medication records (PMRs) had been perused, out of which 830 patients had taken the combinational drug (chloroquine, intercalating and anti-viral agents) treatment for CHB. These 830 patients were included for our study and called for clinical, biochemical investigations and follow-up.
Avatar f tn ************** depends upon treating the underlying depressive illness through anti-anxiety or anti-depressant medicines. In addition, try to rest in a dark & quiet room, meditate, have a balanced diet, regularly exercise and avoid taking unnecessary non prescription drugs to avoid recurrence of symptoms. Hope this helps!!
Avatar n tn I am currently taking tamoxifen and am about to get various innoculations for a trip to Chennai in south India (tropical climate). These will include anti-malaria drugs, hepatitis vaccines (A, B & C, I believe), polio and MMR vaccines, and I don't know what else yet. I heard that certain anti-malaria drugs (including chloroquine, pyrimethamine and quinine) interact with tamoxifen. I have several questions: How do these drugs interact with tamoxifen?
Avatar m tn Okay, now I think I know what you are taking, sertraline, which in the states is Zoloft. Plus your Xanax equivalent. These are medications that are often prescribed for OCD, anxiety, depression. The sertraline can have side effects. What are you feeling like? I don't want to list side affects because I don't want you to start looking for particular one. :) How much Sertraline are you taking and how much alprazolam do you take during the day?

Avatar m tn re in India. Whenever someone comes on this website from India it seems they are on a lot of drugs and a lot of odd drugs for what they're going through. Often their problems seem more suited to therapy than medication at all. I'm not a psychiatrist and your psychiatrist is, and I'm in the US, not India, but quitting clonazepam (what you call lonazep and we call klonopin by brand name) is one of the hardest meds to stop taking.
Avatar m tn t have to worry about any pharmacological difference in the two countries. He could also easily find out if there WERE differences in the drugs make-up and also if there would be difficulties getting perscriptions filled from a different country. Good luck and have a great time in Germany. It's a great country!
1243543 tn?1269124022 I agree with Paxiled in that one can become dependent on anti anxiety meds and SSRIs. I also agree that we have to be careful about generalizing about these kinds of meds. Blanket statements like.....'be prepared to be on them the rest of your life," and "to completely rid yourself of anxiety you must do so without medication" are extremely short sited and can be 100% wrong for some people to follow.
Avatar f tn s doctor is likely waiting for the Gilead drugs as there is much going on in India regarding using these wonderful drugs. The only thing to really know from an ultrasound is that your mom has no lesions (masses or tumors) in her liver. That is a great thing but it doesn't tell you much about her hep C. Only a biopsy or fibroscan can give more information about the stage of her disease.

Avatar n tn Or any knowledge whether anti-inflammatory drugs, in general, can cause palpitations or AFIB? Any feedback would be appreciated...thanks!
Avatar f tn ve learned it all passes no matter what in my PERSONAL experience. With or without drugs... anxiety passes. I personally think drugs make things worse for some people, like myself. That's why I'm staying clear and just doing talk therapy. Talk therapy has taught me a lot about UNDERSTANDING anxiety and how it works, and how the body works. It makes all my symptoms if I ever do go through anxiety, feel like they are nothing but just sensations. They can't harm me..
Avatar m tn After the visit to a CSW in My 2011, after few weeks i started feeling flue, cold and was coughing a lot. Visited a doctor, she gave me anti-biotics for flu. It subsided and again came back in a month. It got worse. My cough increased. Once or twice i coughed up blood. This scared me, so i decided to visit a good doctor. This docotor did my CT Scan, X-ray and found out i had enlarged Lymph nodes in my chest. The lymphnodes enlarged are left hilar and mediastinal.

It hurt so bad after taking them I just prayed it would stop. Is this why some can't take them?
Avatar n tn A NON REACTIVE result implies that no Anti HIV 1 or Anti HIV 2 antibodies have been detected in the sample by this method. This means that either the patient has not beem exposed to HIV 1 or HIV 2 infection or the sample has been tested during the 'WINDOW PHASE' (Before the development of detectable levels of antibodies). Hence, negetive test result does not exclude the possibility of exposure to or infectrion with HIV 1 / HIV 2. Recomendation: 1. Post test counselling between 9.
Avatar n tn Hi, I posted a while back about having PVCs and flutters. After a 30 day event Moniter I was told that I have PACs, PVCs, and about 6,000 a day. That seems like a very scary number to me, but my cardiologist said it was still a low number. I have a lot of anxiety about this, and he prescribed me an anti-arrythmia drug to take as needed since I mentioned I'm feeling long runs of the palps happening on and off for hours sometimes. I'm already on a beta blocker.
Avatar n tn I am a US citizen in India on business. In the States I had a prescription for Lisinopril 20mg. Unfortunately, my stay got extended, and I am about to run out of that medication. Since I can't reach people or the doctor back home, could you advice which of the three I found online - Nivant 20mg, Zestril 20mg, or Lisoril 20mg, I should take. The rest don't seem to have the 20mg dose, although I could also double up on the 10mg dosage.
