anti anxiety drugs celexa

My doctor has advised me to use the klonopin until the anti. kicks in. I have been on 20mg of celexa now for a week and he would like me to go up to 30mg soon. Does anyone know how long it takes for this stuff to kick in, I'm just wondering if I should hold off with upping to 30mg for awhile and see if the 20 mg is enough. I hate feeling ansie all the time, and the klonopin does seem to help with that, but isn't it pretty addictive? My dr.

I have been taking 20 milligrams of generic Celexa for about 4 months to treat anxiety and depression. I was apprehensive to try Celexa because I had heard so many bad things about it. However, within a short time after taking it I noticed a huge improvement in both my depression and anxiety. I am very happy with the Celexa. One problem I am having though is that I have changed as a person and I suspect it is from the Celexa.

Sorry did this doctor get his medical license from a crackerjack box? If Celexa is making you high then he does not need to prescribe you 2 anti anxiety meds he needs to take you off the damn Celexa !!!! I have no wonder that youre losing memory im not surprised at all.

m not a huge fan of anti-psychotic drugs for depression or anxiety.

I was diagnosed with fibro a year ago but have had it for 12 years, and have been on celexa for yearS, it didnt help one thing! I switched to Cymbalta 60mg 4 weeks ago and have much less fatigue and anxiety. They are in the same family of anti-depressants SSRI which increase "feel good" hormones in your body, but i feel cymbalta works much better!! Im hoping to also start Lyrica as well. Hi, I have never heard of serotonin syndrome except in reference to the over use of extacsy drugs. I have been taking many psych drugs over the years including anti-psychotics, anti depressants, mood stabilizers, and even klonipin and trazodone. The only problems I have had is sometimes, on certain anti depressants, I throw up a lot. But then I get off that particular drug and am ok. It sounds like you have a lot of anxiety over this issue.

Ok i was prescibed a anti deprs pill and it has anti anxiety in it the doc says its not addictive but he also said ultram are addictive and thats what i got screwed on so my question is having that anti anxiety pill making it addictive and will i be ok that im taking while geting clean from everything

I am taking klonopin and I never really understood that anti-depressants have an anti-anxiety component too. Anyway, I just started on Celexa last week and will slowly up the dose per the instructions. Last night was the first night I took a whole pill. This morning I woke up with a dull headache which is not normal for me. Still have it tonight. Is this just something that the drug is causing but will go away?

Some drugs are important to taper off first. I lost weight on Welbutrin but it seemed to make my anxiety worse not better. As for whether or not you should be off drugs all together, that is a personal decision that you need to weigh pros and cons about.

Celexa is an excellent anti depressant/ anxiety med. I take Celexa and Klonopin. You should be able to slowly change from Xanax to Klonopin. I switched from ativan to Klonopin with no problem. That's the first change I would make.

My question is how important are anti-depressants to treatment survival? What drugs are working best for people? And when to start takeing anti-depression meds in order to be effective against depression in persons with HCV? And what's working to help people sleep, stop the mind from racing and get the rest so crucially needed to deal with fatigue. Not yet on treatment and already experiencing sleepless, walk-around the house, sit in the chair and worry like hell nights.

If someone can take a daily anti depressant why cant they take a daily anti anxiety med?I personally cant take antidepressants im to sensitive to their side effects and they make me worse than the horrible generalized anxiety that i already suffer so horribly everyday from or believe me i would take them and yes ive tried several and gave them all enough time to build up or do something besides make me 10 times worse.

However for the past 3 months I was prescribed Celexa 10 mg to curb general anxiety and anxiety during sex. It has done a good job in curbing my general anxiety however performance anxiety during sex has only seen moderate improvement. However it has taken a big toll on my LIBIDO...I can't get a second erection easily after the first one and if I do it is generally weak. I was told to downgrade to a 5 mg celexa which has not been a big help either.

t take Lexapro with triple tx w Incivek, so his hepatologist switched him to Celexa and it worked fine for him. The anger, irritability, anxiety, and/or depression that these drugs can cause is very real. Please tell your wife that I completely understand. I encourage you to take her with you to your next appt with your hepatologist, so she can share her concerns. That's what my hubby had me do, and I think it helped.

I wanted to share with you what I JUST learned from my Neurologist (I see a Neuro because I have Multiple Sclerosis) The drug Lexapro is not only an antidpressant, but also has anti-anxiety components in it. I never knew that. So if depression AND anxiety are an issure for you, maybe Lexapro would be the ideal drug. This might be something you can talk about with your doctor. Better to take one pill, than many.

I have used this in the past and it is a type of medication grouped into SSRIs (Zoloft (Sertraline), Paxil, Prozac, Lexapro, etc. These affect people in different ways, so it is sometimes hard to say how each individual will react. I am a big proponent for these types of medications COMBINED with talk therapy. In my opinion, there is no 'magic pill' that will 'cure' you of anxiety or depression.
