Common Questions and Answers about Allergy symptoms yeast

allergies

It seems I'm having hayfever symptoms (as I used to get it as a kid), but I have had a couple of viruses too at the same time, and have had thrush. I've been taking probiotics and Nystatin and the thrush won't go away either. I went back to the Dr and she looked at my mouth and said it was all clear. But I keep getting these sore patches on my tongue, the back of my tongue hurts too.
Im allergic to yeast. Is anyone suffering ffrom the same reactions or symptoms? I feel bloated 24/7, when I eat anything with yeast in it I feel extremely tired, no energy, sometimes muscle and joint pain occurs. I get stomach pains occasionally. Last month I drank a beer and my heart rate increased, i felt tired and then my foot started to swell!!! another incident was when I ate pizza ( so delicious) and all of a sudden I started getting chest pains and my heart rate increased rapidly.
Hello and hope you are doing well. It could be an allergic reaction, more so if the symptoms have occurred with the consumption of the same food. Maintain a food dairy and note down and monitor your symptoms. This may help to narrow down the search. The diagnosis of allergy is difficult to prove or refute. Clinical suspicion and trial of elimination diets are used. An allergy specialist might be able to help you. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Maybe its not the condom, but the lube that goes along with it. Has she been tested for yeast? If she doesn't have it, she isn't passing yeast on to you. If you don't trust her, why are you sleeping with her, especially without a condom? Symptoms that clear up in a day or 2 aren't yeast.
Could food allergies be causing my symptoms? Is there such a thing as yeast overgrowth in intestinal tract that could cause symptoms? Looking for any help as my symtoms have basically crippled me from ever reaching my full potential in work or in my personal life. I have no clue what to do.
It is common for people to get mold allergy if they or other family members are allergic to substances such as pollen or animal dander or dust mites. The symptoms of mold allergy are very similar to the symptoms of other allergies, such as sneezing, itching, nasal discharge, congestion and dry, scaling skin and reduced lung capacity and difficulty breathing. Treatment is to avoid contact with the spores. Reduce the humidity indoors to prevent fungi from growing.
Is is possible that having a yeast allergy could also be related somehow to Epstein barr virus? I am beginning to think I have a yeast allery. I was diagnosed with EBV several years ago but I am having alot of vaginal/vulvodynia issues and thought maybe they could be related. Also if you have an allergy test done for yeast do you get the results immediatly?
I had a very very strong reaction to candida species and candida albicans but have never had a problem with yeast or yeast infections. I have been on various OTC and prescription allergy meds, currently I take daily clarinex and allegra, and I also take diflucan to treat the yeast allergy. I have also been getting regular allergy shots for over a year. I occasionally take a benedryl also. Despite all of these treatments nothing has really successfully gotten rid of my symptoms.
Hi, What symptoms are you having? Consult an allergy specialist or dermatologist - this could be contact dermatitis. You would be prescribed some medications that would probably help resolve your symptoms if that is the case. If not you would need to ask your doctor what can be done. Till then apply some calamine lotion at the site and see if that helps. Do let us know how you are doing and what your doctor advises. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I was undiagnosed after slews of tests. By accident I discovered I had candidiasis (yeast/fungus infection). This causes allergic symptoms and and infestation with this pathogen is not at all uncommon. What is uncommon is diagnosing it. He can be tested for this. Candida feeds on sugars, starches, corticosteroids and antibiotics.
It's called intoxication, not allergy. None of your symptoms point to an alcohol allergy. I suggest you stay away from it. Why make matters worse? Have you seen a doctor for any of these symptoms? Something as simple as an inner ear problem can also cause dizziness. Allergies can pop up out of nowhere. Did you test positive for anything?
A month ago I was treated for a yeast infection with Fluconazole 150mg tablet. A few hours after I had taken it I began to develop an itchy red rash on the corner of my lips and by the next day it had spread to cover the entirety of my lips. I also felt a tightness in my throat. I called my physician and she recommended I take Benadryl and go to the ER if the symptoms worsened, they didn't and the Benadryl seemed to help with the rash on my lips.
I had been itchy 'down there' for quite a few months, but I had been to embarrassed to tell anyone...I figured it would just go away. The other day my friends were talking about yeast infections and told me how common they were. I have all the symptoms of one and so they took me to get Monistat-1. This past friday I used it and have been feeling better the past two days, but I'm nervous I waited too long to do something about it.
last few weeks i have been getting flu like symptoms such as runny nose, head cold for 2 to 3 days after i drink and smoke a few cigarettes. i thought it was happening to often for my immune system to be down? could i be allergic to alcohol or what?
Have a followup in a few weeks but I get the feeling the the neurologist is running out of things to try on me. Could food allergies be causing my symptoms? Is there such a thing as yeast overgrowth in intestinal tract that could cause symptoms? Looking for any help as my symtoms have basically crippled me from ever reaching my full potential in work or in my personal life. I have no clue what to do.
Present day ( a week of the medication) I still feel the itchiness and am thinking that I have a yeast infection. I've heard eating yogurt can help fight it, but what about dairy free yogurt? Would eating one container of dairy free yogurt help? I have an allergy to dairy, I looked online and found "so delicious" yogurt which is dairy free. Has anyone tried this or know if this would help me? Is it bad if I have one thing of the yogurt while on the doxycycline hydate medication?
For that pls consult an allergy specialist and get skin ***** tests and blood tests for allergy done. If the skin testing is negative, it is likely that you are intolerant to wine and beer. If the skin testing is positive, you should avoid food and drink that contain that specific ingredient. Take care and pls do keep us posted if you have any additional queries.
I started getting odd urinary tract infections a year or so back which seemed to puzzle my doctors, they had no explanation for it,the urinary infections were triggered once I consumed too much sugar and my urine would smell bad. the doctors i've seen haven't been much help for me in diagnosing any of my allergy problems,i'm guessing this is very difficult to test for .
Perhaps hormonal or an allergy. From everything that I read on this forum it really sounded like yeast to me. I got a second opinion from another OB. Upon visual examination she said I obviously had a yeast infection and prescribed me diflucan which didn't work followed by a 8 day course of tetrazole. I also started to take acidphullus capsules, eat plain yogurt reguarly and tried my best to avoid sugars. I felt better, the inflammation got much better but still wasn't 100%.
The less contact that area has with clothing the better. Some yeast infection can be caused by an allergy to certain materials. That may be another area to check out. Good luck. Yeast infections are not fun!
Hello MedHelp community, Few months ago I noticed when urinating it stung/burns almost like I had a cut or something on the glans of the penis it wasn't till a few weeks ago it felt a lot worse. Having phimosis I had no way of identifying if it that were the case. But I did my research online and it just felt like it fits, sometimes there is a bit of clumpy discharge and the other times it itches really, really badly.
There has clearly been a comprehensive GI evaluation already done. Regarding food allergy, the most common symptoms of food allergy involve the skin and intestines. Skin rashes include hives and eczema. Intestinal symptoms typically include vomiting, nausea, stomach cramps, indigestion and diarrhea. If a food allergy is a consideration, you may want to consider a referral to an allergist. Followup with your personal physician is essential.
It's been a month and a half or so that I have been dealing with extremely annoying vaginal symptoms. These include white "sticky" discharge, and intense itching. I thought it was a yeast infection (especially since I had just been on antibiotics) and tried everything to make it go away...applying yogurt to the area, garlic, taking garlic supplements... I used two 3-day suppository treatments. Nothing worked. So I went to the doctor, who prescribed 2 doses of oral fluconazole.
Both were followed with an extreme sore throat, joined the next day by something like a sinus and upper respiratory infection, and then flu-like symptoms. Feels like a bad cold for a week after. I have not been formally allergy tested but am fairly certain it is either a worsening allergy or perhaps something different is being added to sugar nowadays that some of us are more sensitive to. I do not, however, feel tired when avoiding sugar, as you have mentioned.
I wonder if you were gluten-free long enough. Yeast can also be to blame and can cause the mouth ulcers, etc. Many Hashis have an underlying yeast issue and are prone to yeast infections. I drink one tbsp virgin coconut oil per night from www.naturesflavors.com to combat my yeast. It has helped immensely. I no longer get mouth ulcers/thrush. Caffeine, dairy, yeast, gluten, corn, green tea, iodine, can cause antibodies to attack, depending on the Hashi individual.
I thought it was from something I was eating, but I'm not sure. Usually allergy rashes are red, or itch, or puff up. This is just a weird mottled-looking skin discoloration, it doesn't hurt and doesn't itch. I get it on my inner thighs, inner calves, and inner upper arms. I posted a photo, if anyone has ever seen anything like it.. lemme know! thanks!
